Tories at the Guillotine

The Grim Reaper is currently making a second approach to the Ascendant of the British Conservative party. The last time Saturn was in these degrees of Capricorn, 1990, Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher was dispatched in a bloodless coup by her back benchers. Another Prime Minister is about to be disposed of by her own party, but this time the situation is much, much worse for the Tories. They are in an existential crisis. This is because both Pluto, the Lord of Hell himself, and the South Node, the point of dissipation and release are also hovering around that Ascendant. Indeed, […]

May 23rd, 2019: It Hurts But Keep Talking

  • Waning Trine between the Aquarius Moon and Gemini Sun (2 deg)

  • Sun in Gemini square Black Moon Lilith in Pisces (2 deg)

  • Mars in Cancer square Chiron in Aries (5 deg)

  • Mercury in Gemini sextile Chiron in Aries (5 deg)

Issues from yesterday’s square between Mercury in Gemini and BML continue as the Sun energizes the difficult conversations or mixed messages. Lilith gets the spotlight in a way that illuminates the crisis between taboo women’s issues and hard choices. Perhaps no option seems favourable, or you’re torn between keeping things light versus acknowledging the dark issue that oozes between the lines.

The Waning Trine can help – this is an aspect of sharing and understanding. An open minded, somewhat detached approach can facilitate cooperation – others will respond favourably to potentially disruptive info if you deliver it cooly and calmly. Give them the option to disagree.

Mars/Chiron adds another twist, as actions/anger/sexuality trigger painful moments. Feelings of vulnerability can be particularly intense, and it will be difficult to not make the wrong move. It will seem like everyone (including you) is easily bruised. Fortunately, Mercury is also aspecting Chiron, but it’s making an easy sextile. Talk about what hurts; keep it light, explore multiple solutions, but keep talking and asking questions.

This is also an encouraging aspect for the squares to BML, suggesting that yesterday’s difficult messages can be sorted with a mix of logic and empathy. You’re touching on what hurts and looking at the facts, but you’re not pressing down on it.

11 Things To Do While The Sun’s in Gemini

Gemini season is upon us at last. A time, here in the Northern hemisphere, when thoughts turn to the seaside, summer, the open road. This year that Gemini feel is just a little bit stronger, since lithe Mercury, Gemini’s ruler, and the Sun jump into the sign hand in hand, and Mercury will be here until June 4. Why not engage with that Gemini vibe — even if you’re a deep-dyed Scorpio, or a caustic Capricorn? So here are some suggestions to get you started. Remember: fun, wit and feather are Gemini words. Text, email, phone your siblings. You never know, […]

  • Mercury in Gemini square Black Moon Lilith in Pisces (2 deg)

  • Mars in Cancer sextile Uranus in Taurus (4 deg)

  • Neptune in Pisces trine the Cancer North Node (18 deg)

Mercury/BML

There may be misinformation about sexual issues or gossip about the other woman/unacceptable woman. There will be a multiple sides to her story, which can be confusing. Perhaps you’re having trouble focusing on a BML issue (a destructive attraction or taboo subject) – are you avoiding a truth or spinning distracting lies?

Mars/Uranus

Here is the gentle nudge forward. Uranus in Taurus’ major update of habits/resources/values can help you act on a nurturing or family matter. It’s time to take action and initiate changes, but you don’t have to move abruptly or take big risks. Slow and steady as you step into new territory.

Neptune/North Node

Continuing the forward theme, the Cancer North Node is activated by release, forgiveness, acceptance or imagination. If you open yourself up to an ending or new experience, you may feel a gentle pull towards something that feels right. “Feel” is the key word, because the Cancer North Node is about what resonates emotionally.
