Libra Full Moon: The Self Acceptance Panacea

I was walking around Whole Foods, not feeling my best. Frankly, I was having a mediocre day. I was still energetically recovering from a toxic exchange several days ago. I had been feeling so much better, so good, and that’s when I stepped in it. In my feel good high, I had mistaken myself for […]

Christina & Sally Talk Astrology: April 20-May20

We discuss brioche buns, spring flowers, ‘big voice’ singers, gorgeous people, furry eyebrow and distinctive noses in our Taurus-themed month. Some of us are glad to leave behind the drifty Mercury retrograde vibe in Pisces and start making things happen. Some of us are still tying our shoelaces! Enjoy

Millennials and astrology – a natural fit

Deviant Art Last year reporter for the Atlantic explored the connection between millennials and astrology: Many people I spoke to for this piece said they had a sense that the stigma attached to astrology, while it still exists, had receded as the practice has grabbed a foothold in online culture, especially for young […]

April 19th Full Moon in Libra: The Other Tipping Point

Remember March 20th? The Spring Equinox was marked by a Libra Full Moon (ay 0 deg). . Well, there’s another Libra Full Moon coming up on April 19th and this one is at 29 deg.

It’s rare to have a two Full Moons in the same sign, so when it happens you pay attention. These Full Moons (and the events on these two dates) will act as bookends- the first and last degree of the sign indicating a beginning and ending. It’s happening in the sign of the balance, so we can surmise that events will swing from one extreme to the other.

The Full Moon on April 19th will make a wide square to the South Node in Capricorn/North Node in Cancer (as well as Saturn/Pluto in Capricorn) so this ending will present you with a choice- stick with old rules/fears/tradition (South Node) or move forward to something that’s more in line with what you need and feel (North Node). Saturn and Pluto suggest there’s a final responsibility to take care of – some pressure to deal with and perhaps some unbalanced power issues. Note that the North Node (path forward) is ruled by the Moon, so you’re moving towards balanced relationships (Libra) that feel (Cancer) safe. You’re looking at how your needs/emotions connect to others.

Note that on March 20th the Sun (newly into Aries) was applying to a conjunction with Chiron in Aries, so Chiron was very much part of that Full Moon. On April 19th, Mercury will conjoin Chiron in Aries, so the theme of the fresh, raw wound (and associated courage) will continue. The hurt and battle that was introduced on March 20th will be put into words during this Full Moon – you may be speaking out and taking flak for it, or finally having that painful but essential conversation. Aries is the first sign, so this is brand new territory. But the lunation is in Libra, so it’s not all about you or them, it’s you and them. Balance is essential. Projection may have to be addressed.

March 20th brought you to a tipping point, and you’ll be at another one on April 19th. How have things changed since March? Are you ready to put the wound into words? What extremes are you experiencing?
