As Election Day 2016 (November 9th) creeps up on us, one more ‘debate’ is set to take place Wednesday October 19, 2016 between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump in Las Vegas, Nevada (9:00 pm edt). Astrologically, it would be easy to suggest that Mars represents Mr. Trump with his Mars rising along with

Venus in Sagittarius…

Venus is about to move out of steely and intense Scorpio into Sagittarius. Sagittarius is associated with exploration beyond your boundaries- and finding pleasure in that. Sure this could mean planning a holiday or taking a holiday, but it…

Terrorism, the Discovery of Chiron and Great Art

Chiron, the erratic asteroid that weaves between Uranus and Saturn, was discovered on November 1, 1977 on a photographic plate that had been taken on October 18. That second date might just ring a bell for you if you happen to be interested in contemporary art – because it’s also the collective title of some of the most famous works of art about terrorism ever made. Gerhard Richter’s weird, grungy pictures grouped under the title 18. Oktober 1977 reimagine the demise of Germany’s notorious Baader-Meinhof gang. On that day, three members of the gang were found dead in jail — as depicted in Richter’s compellingly creepy series. Officially it was suicide, but the circumstances […]

Venus in Scorpio trines Vesta, at 29 degrees Cancer, and makes an inconjunct to Ceres Rx, at 29 degrees Aries. The focus on what you love will deepen, and the flow may become almost obsessive. The greater the intensity of devotion, the greater the tension between this and something independent that’s being nurtured.

Vesta and Ceres are squaring each other (this aspect was exact on October 16th), triggering a crisis between birth/rebirth (Ceres) and devotion (Vesta). Focus in one area will clash with nurturing in another area. Compulsive attraction/love (Venus in Scorpio) will trigger this issue. Vesta is associated with purity (purity of intent, discipline) and Ceres is associated with mothering. When the two are at odds, difficulties with children and parental roles can come up.

The solution is to not plunge so far into what you want, that you forget about what’s struggling to be free. Love that is one thousand fathoms deep is powerful, but it can drown the independent spark. Love deeply, love completely, but make sure you can see the light on the surface.

Pallas in Aquarius stations direct, at 18 degrees. The unconventional pattern that’s been under review since August 12th, 2016 (when Pallas Rx reentered Aquarius) is now complete. You can move forward with it, or let it go.
