Your zodiac sign has still not changed!

About five years ago it was discovered that because of the shifting of the Earth’s axis, the constellation Ophiuchus was now closer to the apparent path of the Sun as we observe it from Earth, and astronomers conjectured that this then made Ophiuchus a thirteenth sign in the zodiac. This popped up recently as “news:” […]

Mars conjoins Pluto at 15 degrees Capricorn. This is the ultimate manifestation aspect: actions are a direct conduit for what’s ready to come into being, or what’s ready to end. This can be empowering or brutal, depending on your focus and level of awareness. The last Mars/Pluto conjunction occurred on November 10, 2014 at 11 degrees, and the next one will happen on April 26th, 2018 at 21 degrees. Each conjunction refers to the previous one, building on or completing what was initiated. Whether you’re wrapping something up or setting something in motion, know that what you do matters, on an immediate, physical level. Act accordingly – focused, direct, efficient. Because Mars/Pluto can be ruthless, awareness of consequences is essential.

Astrology of Now: Volcanic Forces

Mars and Pluto are having their biannual conjunction — today, tomorrow, and the day after. Yes, that’s two warriors having a confab in ambitious, driven, earthy Capricorn; the planet of action, Mars, and the planet of the Underworld, Pluto, working together; war plus power. On the mundane level, watch the Mosul Offensive taking place over these days in Iraq. If you have planets in Libra, Capricorn, Cancer or Aries at 15°, pay attention. You can move the mountain now — maybe using some TNT. If you have planets at 15° in Pisces, Taurus, Virgo or Scorpio — you have may be able […]

Venus’ Transit of Sagittarius: What If It’s Going To Be Ok?

Venus’ Sagittarius ingress begins on October 18th. After the exploration of what lay beneath relationship, financial and self-esteem issues, she reaches out and up. The exploration continues, but now the search for new truths and new possibilities takes you over the horizon.

This transit urges you to have faith that something better is coming. Love will improve and grow. What you want may actually be out there, and you can afford it. Beauty lies in the glow of promise that you can see…just over there. If you don’t have faith that things will improve, that things will be ok, you’ll never get out of bed. And you can choose to not have faith. To believe in nothing. You can sit this one out, because sometimes it’s easier to be hopeless. Hope leaves you open to pain.

But…

…for those who want to progress, you have to move on. You have to take that risk and start believing again. Even a rock solid relationship or value system will stagnate if there’s no expansion. And for sure…the pain of an eviscerating love or the abyss of zero self-esteem will remain magnetically fresh if you don’t move forward. You have to make room for something new, even if you’re not certain that you’ll achieve it. With this transit, the cliché about the journey being more important than the goal is true. What you learn along the way is what triggers growth.

Venus will be in mutual reception with Jupiter in Libra. This adds an extra layer of optimism, as Venus and Jupiter strengthen each other. Partnership issues will be key- new ways to cooperate, new people to meet, new things to learn about a partner you’ve been with for many years. For those who’ve been dancing the same, painful relationship dance, these influences can open your eyes to different ways of connecting. Maybe you don’t have to play the role of ____. That’s the core of Jupiter/Sag’s optimism – you are given a broader perspective, which encourages you to try something different. Sag is a Mutable sign – truth is not carved in stone. The downside is “flexible” honesty. The upside is busting out of unhealthy truths you’ve been telling yourself.

Who knows where this might lead?

The Venus/Jupiter sextile (October 26th) will be an important date. Another key date will be Venus’ conjunction with Saturn, on October 29th – the finish line, reality check or formal commitment.

Here are the aspects Venus in Sagittarius will make:

  • Oct 25th: square Neptune Rx, 9 deg Pisces
  • Oct 26th: sextile Jupiter, 10 deg Libra
  • Oct 27th: square the Virgo/Pisces Nodes, 11 deg
  • Oct 29th: conjunct Saturn, 14 deg
  • Nov 3rd: sextile Pallas, 19 deg Aquarius
  • Nov 4th: square Chiron Rx, 21 deg Pisces
  • Nov 5th: trine Uranus Rx, 21 deg Aries
  • Nov 7th: trine Ceres Rx, 24 deg Aries
  • Nov 11th : Capricorn ingress
