  • Waning Inconjunct between the Gemini Moon and Scorpio Sun (3 deg)

  • Sun in Scorpio conjunct Venus Rx (3 deg)

The Waning Inconjunct adds more information to the results of the October 24th Full Moon. Additional questions, facts or choices may pop up and you’ll have to consider them. This will involve the Sun/Venus Rx conjunction, a new chapter in the Sun/Venus cycle. Here is a point of illumination regarding a relationship/money/self-esteem issue you’ve been reviewing since Venus stationed Rx (October 5th). The Sun/Venus cycle itself goes back to the last conjunction, on January 9th, 2018 at 18 deg Capricorn.

The start of this new chapter will be marked by awkward or inconvenient questions, but they will be an unavoidable symptom of Scorpio’s deep dive and reevaluation. And, the questions will be part of the entrance into a different chapter or era – can you feel that you’re starting something new? Venus is still Rx, but the energy has shifted.

Barren and Fruitful Signs

At the fag-end of this luscious autumn, with the scent of rotting apples in the air, and a surprising, last flush of magenta roses on the other side of the pond, my thoughts have turned, briefly, to fertility. Here is what the English Renaissance astrology William Lilley, had to say about the fecundity or otherwise of the signs. Aries By reason Mars, a sterill planet hath that for his house, and the Sun for Exaltation, is rather a Sign of Barrennesse than otherwise. Taurus Is reputed more fruitful than barren, being the house of Venus, who is fruitful, and the exaltation […]

October 25th, 2018: Sorting Through the Full Moon’s Fallout

  • Moon in Taurus square Black Moon Lilith in Aquarius (8 deg)

  • Moon in Taurus trine Vesta in Capricorn (13 deg)

  • Moon in Taurus sextile Neptune Rx in Pisces (13 deg)

  • Moon in Taurus square Mars in Aquarius (17 deg)

Moon/BML indicates tension between familiar scenarios versus what’s radical and uncomfortable. The Moon is a classic expression of female energy – mother. BML is the opposite – the outcast, the woman who breaks the rules. In mythology, Lilith is associated with the death of children, so when she is in hard aspect to the Moon in Taurus, there may be tension between fertile and destructive scenarios.

This tension will peak with the Moon’s square to Mars- the buildup of anger/impatience (with a fixed situation) that finally results in jarring action. But before this, the Moon’s smooth aspects to Vesta and Neptune are an opportunity to focus (Vesta) on what matters most. What are you attempting to grow? Neptune adds a hint of creativity and transcendence – a whisper that there’s more to this than what you see in front of you.

But the main energies will be the two squares, which can push you to question the value of what you have. This will take you back to yesterday’s Taurus Full Moon – those results may have been jarring, but they revealed truths about a relationship, your values or your resources. Now, you’re sorting through the fallout.

Taurus Full Moon: Good Grief

I had a moment last week, not one of my clearer ones, even though it yielded some good, profound realizations. I had been interacting with a lot of people in grief energy, which I in turn thought was mine, which is always tricky. So, for some time, I went deep into the energy of grief. […]
