Are We Waiting for the Empire to End or Witnessing It?

"The New Rome – America, the Reluctant EmpireWhen the annals of the United States are written, its transition from republic to empire is likely to warrant special attention."So says a page I had lost track of but re-discovered last evening titled, The Empire Never Ended. On the page there are several sections and topics which provide quite an overview of empires (Roman, American, Ottoman, etc),

  • Libra Sun sextile Ceres in Sagittarius (17°)

  • Venus in Scorpio inconjunct Chiron RX in Aries (3°)

  • Pluto in Capricorn trine Juno in Virgo (20°)

Venus/Chiron means that the deeper you go regarding what you want or attract, the more vulnerable you’ll be. You may be tempted to keep what’s uncomfortable hidden while dealing with the obvious wound. Or, you may try to lose yourself in the obsession while ignoring the battle.

This aspect can amplify the “ugliness” of taboo issues around love, values or beauty. You may feel unattractive or ashamed because of the intensity. It’s a tough one, because you have to integrate the external wound with the Shadow. The uglier you feel, the more important it is that you come to terms with this. Healing occurs when you confront what’s in the Shadow and find a way to love yourself.

Fortunately, you have a nice Sun (in Venus-ruled Libra)/Ceres aspect that brings balanced, expansive nurturing. This energy encourages you to explore the possibilities and trust that justice, idealism and hope are accessible in relationships.

Also, Pluto (ruler of Scorpio) empowers Juno’s relationship commitments by adding depth to the details of the agreement. The little things between you and another and your mutual efforts to make the partnership better/cleaner/correct can be potently effective.

What does this mean overall? One sticky aspect and two supportive aspects mean that you can handle the uncomfortable stuff.

  • Sun in Libra inconjunct Neptune RX in Pisces (16°)

This tricky aspect can see you misinterpreting a partnership issue or attempting to completely avoid compromise. Pride and purpose can be dissolved if you lose your sense of self to another.

Neptune whispers that there is something that transcends your one-on-one connections. There is more at stake than the partnership, or your social life. The key will be maintaining that balance between the reality of your relationships versus the understanding that it’s not all about your relationships. Neptune is transpersonal and encompasses everyone.

When you feel delusion or misunderstanding creeping into your relationships, take a step back and try to distance yourself. See where that point of balance is between you and another and then consider the bigger issue. Is more compassion needed? Have you been caring too much about making others happy?

In general, this aspect can make it difficult to maintain your centre in any one -on -one contact. There will be doubts about how to express your ego, and you may err on the side of sacrificing your pride for the sake of harmony.

Why Meghan Is Brilliant For The Crown

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry and Meghan, are finally suing the tabloids. The British media and the royal family have a weird symbiotic relationship. The media veers between creepy sycophancy and vicious criticism; relentless pursuit coupled with endless judgment. The family invites attention and demands privacy; grants interviews and expects deference. The royal family has often had its privacy trespassed by the meeja — phone-hacking, telephoto lenses, and kiss and tell stories. Most heinously, Diana, Princess of Wales, was killed in a car crash while being pursued by paparazzi, photographed as she died. The latest grown-up addition to […]
