Pluto, Ceres, Chiron, America, and the 2017 Solar Eclipses in Pisces and Leo

Since the early days of Stars Over Washington (2005) my attention has sometimes been drawn to a certain trio: power planet of domination, Pluto (27Cap Rx), security-minded nurturer Ceres, and wounder/wounded healer, mentor, and blind spot, Chiron (20Aries) in America’s July 4, 1776 natal horoscope. As
Pallas and Chiron unite creative wisdom with wounds. Here is a prime opportunity to apply a solution (not just a band aid) to an area of difficulty. This won’t involve pure logic – intuition will be crucial. The Sun will bring this situation to life, and activate the sore spot. Watch for a pattern – how does the wound connect to other areas of your life?
Having said this, know that the Sun is applying to a square with Saturn in Sagittarius (at 27 degrees) exact on March 17th. There will be restrictions, and the totality of healing may be limited. Meaning, this is not a magic wand – scars and aches will remain. Or, the necessary solution will be painful. But limits will force you to concentrate on what you can heal. What you must heal. Saturn=the work you have to do. Don’t discount the effectiveness of Pallas/Chiron; if you’re backed into a corner, you’ll have wisdom at your disposal.
Venus Rx/Juno raise questions about freedom and values in committed partnerships. The rules of the contract between you and another will be challenged. One partner may feel repressed. The key issue will be how a newly emerging version of self creates tension within a relationship: change is inevitable.

Jupiter Rx/Chiron suggests it will hurt to review a promise or hope. Or, doubts may trigger that review. Don’t attempt to gloss over the discomfort – it’s alerting you to an imbalance. But don’t overreact, either. A small adjustment will be all it takes to make you feel better.
Helping you deal with the above, Sun/Saturn offers stability. It encourages self-sufficiency, as Aquarius’ independence is supported by Saturn’s maturity. It also encourages calm authority and reliable friendships. There’s no grasping and no dramatics. Just an easy awareness of your responsibilities.
Juno and the North Node add more positive developments, as official contracts/commitments align with the future. But relationship progress will only happen if both parties are willing to work and improve. Serious, grounded unions are supported.

Sun/Mercury Rx can uncover answers, or spotlight the return of someone from your past. News, conversations or reconnections will give you more to go on, but nothing’s final. Rather, this aspect encourages you to ask more questions or continue the review. Will the structure hold? Is the commitment real? Where are the weak spots? Mars adds gentle initiative – keep looking, thinking, considering and act accordingly.
Rules, denial or obligations define (Saturn) the wound (Chiron). The crisis of the square will make this influence especially tense and unpleasant. But the square is an active aspect. Chiron is meant to be confronted, so use the tension to do that. Mars’ influence on Sun/Mercury Rx encourages you to take action, in light of what you hear or learn (just remember it’s Mercury Rx).
The Capricorn/Saturn influence is dominant. This means maturity and self-control are your sharpest tools.
These influences are part of the Capricorn New Moon.
