House Republicans Vote to Shield Dangerous Corporations from Consumer Lawsuits – TYT reports

As we’ve discussed many times here on SO’W, when the mainstream media gets its knickers in a bunch and says, Look here look here! it behooves the American public to look in the opposite direction at the political machinations they’re attempting to hide from our view via diversionary tactics.

The Young Turks’s Farron Cousins reports:

Astrology of Now: Fireworks!

Fiery energy is gathering around the coming eclipse on February 26. We are in an unusually unstable period. The times are angry enough and polarised enough already. Know that the planets are stirring the pot this week and next, adding a huge dollop of chilli to the cosmic soup. Be cautious, calculate your actions, be prepared for unexpected arguments — and brilliant brain waves. We may all have to confront something or someone over the next few weeks, bravehearts. Let’s break it down. Mars Mars, the planet of aggression, war and action (and chilli peppers), smacks into Uranus, the planet of electricity, the unexpected and rebellion, […]

In the Key of Pisces…week one

Last year, The Oxford Astrologer published a post on a musician every day during the month of the fishes — that most musical of signs. In case you missed it — or would like to do it all over again. Here is the list and links for the first week… Many, many musicians were born with the Sun in Pisces, so I’ll be adding some more this year as we go through the month. First off, the inimitable yet much imitated Nancy Wilson.. February 19 — Seal February 20 — Kurt Cobain and Randy California I’ve found a new video […]

In the Key of Pisces: Nancy Wilson

So versatile, so clear, so direct: there’s no one like Nancy Wilson. I love her easy listening albums from the late 1960s/early 1970s (which included some of the best interpretations of Latin American music in English). They sparkle. Her voice is so pure and powerful, but it’s her ability to tell a story that puts her in another league. Happily, she also fits both of this week’s astrological criteria: Sun in Pisces and Venus in Aries (and yes, she does wear red more often than any other colour on her album covers). The sharp, sweet, direct delivery must be that Venus in Aries Rising. Wilson has […]

February 20th, 2017: Fresh Focus

  • Mercury in Aquarius inconjunct Vesta Rx in Cancer: 20 degrees
  • Mercury in Aquarius sextile Uranus in Aries: 21 degrees

Mercury is supported by Uranus, Aquarius’ ruler. Words and thoughts have a sparkling edge. Detachment allows you to make some unusual leaps. The ease of the sextile means “unusual” is palatable. Nothing too disruptive.

The inconjunct to Vesta Rx is a small glitch. Mercury’s cool, fresh logic will clash with a sentimental area of devotion. The past needs to be adjusted to meet the future – stop clinging, start thinking. But don’t deny what you’re feeling (it’s valid). Just take one step back from what you’re focused on, and consider an alternative approach. Bring new life to what you’ve been nurturing.

Working With Mars & Anger

This week, warrior planet, Mars in Aries, squares Pluto in Capricorn (2/22), then conjoins Uranus (2/26). As the red planet heats up our world, it’s time to become more conscious about our personal Mars. I read this post by astrologer Michael Lutin about the upcoming Mars-Pluto-Uranus aspects:… “Even the calmest, most patient, spiritually developed, all-chakras-aligned, organic vegetarians can be […]
