Overview

November 13th brings a rich conjunction between Venus and Jupiter in Scorpio. Jupiter will expand Venus’ wants, and Scorpio will ensure that those wants are profound. Issues with money, relationships and personal values can surge past existing limits, and for the most part, this should be quite positive. Jupiter brings hope, and Scorpio makes it intense. However, Mercury in Sagittarius squares Neptune Rx in Pisces on the same day, so facts will be muddled. Something good could dissolve all logic – a bit of caution is advised.

November 16th brings a trine from Neptune to Venus and Chiron Rx in Pisces to the Scorpio Sun. These aspects will add forgiveness, compassion and release to the above scenarios.

November 18th sees a Scorpio New Moon, which will be connected to the above developments. This new beginning will be favoured with a trine to Chiron Rx – the deeper you go/the more honest you are, the more you can strengthen yourself through acceptance of what hurts. The Moon will make a sharp inconjunct to Uranus Rx in Aries, so there will be some discomfort as events have a greater impact than expected.

The square between Mars in Libra and Pluto in Capricorn will be exact on November 19th, so that crisis between conscious action (Mars) and unconscious impulses (Pluto) will be part of the New Moon. Mars/Pluto has the potential for eruptions of buried anger, a raw push for domination or (sometimes) violence. This is an immensely powerful aspect, and when directed properly, you can achieve quite a bit. But it can also be extremely destructive. Be careful and remain fully aware of what your next step is going to be.

Aries

Venus/Jupiter in your sector of shared resources can expand benefits in the areas of debts, taxes, loans, your partner’s finances or intimacy. Watch for a gift, extra assistance or increased access to financial resources/emotional sharing. Other aspects to Venus and the Sun in your sector of shared resources can increase your desire to share, merge or give. There’s potential for deep psychological comfort, but pay attention to boundaries – it will be easy to let everything flow and keep nothing in reserve. Mercury/Neptune cautions you to look before you leap – long-distance travel, legal matters, education, exploration or publishing are areas where you may misread the signals or hope for more than is realistic. Before you cement plans for the future, make sure you have all the facts.

All of the above will lead to new beginnings, via the New Moon in your sector of shared resources. There could be a new chapter between you and a partner, or a deeper understanding of the dynamics of what you owe, share or are reluctant to share. The inconjunct to Uranus Rx in your sign suggests these discoveries will make you feel a bit out of control. There may be more brewing beneath the surface than anticipated, and the Mars/Pluto square adds in a relationship or career challenge. Someone else (a partner or competitor) may be calling the shots and pushing you to react. Avoid knee-jerk responses and projecting anger onto others. Your full awareness and ownership of your actions will help you feel a bit more in control.

Taurus

Venus/Jupiter in your partnership sector suggests moments of joy or passion in a new or existing partnership. You and another can deepen your commitment while enjoying the benefits of increased intensity and trust. Other aspects to the Sun and Venus in your partnership sector can enable moments of idealism, deep romance and mutual healing. Also excellent for reaching out to members of the public and impacting them on an emotional/empathetic level. However, Mercury/Neptune can stir up confusing/misguided information (or deceptions) around shared finances or intimacy. Make sure you are both on the same page, regarding who owes what and how far you both want to take this.

The above is the lead- up to the New Moon’s new chapter in your partnership sector. An existing relationship can enter a whole new level of profound trust and acceptance. A new relationship can accelerate with intensity. The speed and honesty with which things move may make you feel uncomfortable, especially if you or the other person reveal more than you’re comfortable with. Mars/Pluto ups the stakes, as your approach to daily routines, health or work undergoes a challenge. Your efforts to improve or get things done may be unbalanced. Too, an imbalance in shared power (one person does more than the other) could be an issue. Avoid keeping score, but don’t ignore feelings of discomfort or resentment – this is the time for an honest confrontation.

Gemini

Venus/Jupiter in your sector of routine suggests increased hope and assistance in the areas of health, work tasks or daily routines. You could receive the help you want, or feel compelled to go the extra mile for someone else. Too, if you’ve been on a particularly restrictive regime, this energy might encourage you to let go and indulge. Other aspects to the Sun and Venus in your sector of routine promise a positive flow of creativity, acceptance and understanding in your daily work and career – your daily efforts will be noticed and appreciated by someone in authority. However, Mercury/Neptune suggests it will be too easy to place all your faith in someone’s else’s promises or suggestions. Therefore, be very careful with how much you’re giving or accepting – there’s potential for some disappointment.

The New Moon in your sector of routine takes the above developments and opens a new chapter, regarding work or health. New tasks tasks may feel overwhelming, or new developments in diet/exercise may demand extra commitment. There is an opportunity to access more intensive sources of energy and commitment in your daily life, but this depends on how your routines make you feel – worthwhile or under-appreciated? Mars/Pluto suggests you’ll be dealing with the struggle to be appreciated/noticed, or to gain power over your daily life.

Cancer

Venus/Jupiter in your sector of self-expression can hit you with a surge of joy, intense attraction, creativity or celebration. It will be tempting to dive right in and luxuriate (or show off) and there’s certainly reasons to be happy. Other aspects to the Sun and Venus in your sector of self-expression can encourage confidence and release, as you let go of fears/hesitations and open yourself up to what’s next. Especially good for travel or making your creative work public. But Mercury/Neptune hints that certain tasks or details are in danger of being overlooked. Don’t forget about the fine print, and don’t ignore your obligations.

The New Moon in your sector of self-expression builds on the above, with an opportunity to commit yourself more deeply to something you love or enjoy. A new attraction can be all-consuming, and creative work/performance can reveal your passionate side. Mars/Pluto suggests someone significant may trigger a crisis, and this tension will push you to express yourself/put yourself on the line. This can be exciting, challenging or disruptive – it all depends on where your comfort zone is. In some cases, jealousy and competitiveness can trigger all-or-nothing behaviour. Stay aware of your reactions and make sure that someone else isn’t controlling your behaviour, even if you feel like you’re being assertive.

Leo

Venus/Jupiter in your domestic sector can increase love and abundance at home/with family. There could be a major celebration, home purchase or addition to the family. Or, the purchase of new home.  Other aspects to Venus and the Sun in your domestic sector can increase the flow of idealism, closeness and healing within the family. However, Mercury/Neptune warns you to keep your eye on joint finances (it will be easy to overspend) and communication. Big, romantic words may be floating around, but there may not be much substance to them. Enjoy the energy, but stay aware of the details.

The New Moon in your domestic sector marks a fresh chapter, based on the above. There may be some discord between home/comfort zone versus travel or foreign affairs. The overall theme is an intensive commitment to those closest to you, or your personal security. But Mars/Pluto suggests that tense/angry discussions may be part of the process. Disagreements or troubling news involving heath or work will add some urgency to domestic developments. Use caution with all types of communication, because reactive responses can quickly become destructive.

Virgo

Venus/Jupiter in your communication sector suggest a spot of excellent news, a conversation that sweeps you away or a beautiful promise. Other aspects to Venus and the Sun in your communication sector can encourage healing/forgiving discussions with a partner. This may be a good time to reach out. – old grudges can dissolve. However, Mercury/Neptune cautions you to look closely at everything that’s being communicated (especially with a partner). Make sure there are solid facts behind the good intentions, and everyone is on the same page. Overall, these influences do have tremendous creative potential – you can easily promote, sell or wow someone with the power of what you say or write.

The New Moon in your communication sector suggests the above events will lead to a new understanding, plan or potential. You can dedicate yourself fully to a new idea or area of investigation.  Indeed, you may become fixated on this issue, and Mars/Pluto adds a compulsive edge. A desire for attention, a new attraction or issues with money can capture your mind and push you down an extreme path. The best use of this energy would be to learn more about something that could benefit you, or communicate your intentions in an assertive but healthy way. Be wary of trying to force someone to your side, via your arguments. Or, of clinging to what you know is “right” in a way that blinds you to other options.

Libra

Venus/Jupiter in your sector of personal resources suggests a lucrative opportunity to earn more, or a financial boost. Security and self-esteem can also increase. But since Jupiter expands everything, this energy can also urge you to spend more on a big ticket item. The purchase may be exactly what you need, but Mercury/Neptune suggests you may not be totally clear about you’re doing. In all cases, certain details may be obscured or you may ignore the facts. Other aspects to Venus and the Sun in your sector of personal resources can encourage gentle acceptance of where you are right now.

The New Moon in your sector of personal resources indicates a new beginning (involving earned money, self-esteem or security) based on the above events. A new job, approach to finances or expression of what you want will urge you to open up and make a deeper commitment. However, Mars in your sign square Pluto can indicate some compulsive actions or struggles for dominance. There may be something (or someone) that you become fixated on, with undertones of a fight for survival. If you don’t get what you want it will feel like your survival is at stake, although this may not actually be the case. Mars/Pluto can increase your odds for success if you direct the energy wisely – remain conscious of what you’re doing, especially if issues from the past/family are involved.

Scorpio

Venus/Jupiter in your sign can pump up your confidence and attraction power, or put you in the right place at the right time. There may be a prime financial or relationship opportunity. Too, your public image could receive a significant boost. Other aspects to the Sun and Venus in your sign will encourage you to open yourself up to a new attraction, creative opportunity or moment of honest self-expression. These energies can make it easier to be you, as you let go of doubts, insecurities and past hurts. But Mercury/Neptune can muddy the waters with misguided information about money or self-esteem requirements. What you think you must have, or what you think is a sure thing, could involve some miscommunication or obscured facts. Proceed with caution.

The New Moon in your sign builds on the above, opening an intriguing new door around lifestyle, relationships, career or self-image. While you’re usually honest about who you are, these influences can encourage you dig even deeper and reveal the real you. However, Mars/Pluto suggests background or unconscious actions may be driving some of this. Pay attention to heated conversations or all-or-nothing statements with undertones of hostility. Don’t allow secrets or buried impulses to undermine your powerful new start.

Sagittarius

Venus/Jupiter in your hidden sector can expand a hidden attraction or desire. Creative potential is favoured, and dreams/fantasies/intuition can be very strong, leaking out into your daily life. Other aspects to Venus and the Sun in your hidden sector can encourage the gentle of release of old wounds and painful family history. However, Mercury in your sign square Neptune suggests a weak spot, based on confused ideals and or old hopes. Be very careful that you’re seeing the whole picture.

The New Moon in your hidden sector suggests the above background issues won’t fade away. Rather, a whole new chapter can open up, based on what you hope for, intuit or are working on. What you’re trying to manifest can become so powerful that it ends up dominating your life, even though you may not see this coming. Mars/Pluto is a warning that financial and social matters can be risky, if you get caught up in competition, jealousy or comparison (what they have versus what you do not). In some cases, issues with friends or groups can involve manipulations and covert hostility. Tread carefully, make sure you can distinguish a positive, hidden potential from an illusion.

Capricorn

Venus/Jupiter in your social sector suggests a fortuitous meeting with someone exceptional, or someone who can help you out in a significant way. Too, your public image can receive a boost as you attract new people. Your willingness to open up and go a step deeper with others will benefit you. Excellent for group activities, exploring a new friendship or promoting your work. Other aspects to Venus and the Sun in your social sector can open up the conversation and lead to increased empathy, understanding and perhaps an apology. However, Mercury/Neptune suggests there may be misunderstandings or secrets underneath the social scene. Gossip, mixed messages or suspicions can undermine the good vibe, so be cautious of what you say or hear.

The New Moon in your social sector builds on the above in the guise of a new friendship, group activity or new chapter in a friendship. The energy may feel a bit more intense (and intimate) that you’re accustomed to, and Mars square Pluto in your sign adds competition and an urgent drive for success. Career matters, or issues of authority, can make you feel challenged, or see you pushing back. Be cautious about how hard you push  – there’s potential for damage, and the fallout will be public.

Aquarius

Venus/Jupiter in your career sector suggests a powerful mentor or lucrative connection with someone in authority. Your professional image can receive a serious boost, and a promotion or successful job search are favoured as well. You may have an expansive vision of your future, and other aspects to the Sun and Venus in your career sector suggest increased potential for financial support from your creative efforts. However, Mercury/Neptune can add confusing messages from others, or misunderstandings when you communicate. Your perceptions of what others think may be skewed. Choose your words carefully when making public statements.

The New Moon in your career sector suggests new job/new career goal/new professional image, based on the above. New hope for the future is also indicated. Watch for a heightened sense of passion and commitment to work/success/forward movement. Mars/Pluto can amplify the passion, and in some cases it may tip over into misguided obsession/competition. Of course you want to get ahead, but make sure you’re clear on your motivations.  In some cases, an ideal that you’re chasing  may need some reevaluation.

Pisces

Venus/Jupiter in your sector of opportunities can plunge you into something new and wonderfully overwhelming. You may get swept away by a long- distance romance or opportunity connected to travel, education, legal matters or publishing. Aspects from Chiron and Neptune (in your sign) to the Sun and Venus in your opportunities sector can dissolve limits and encourage you to move past old fears and weaknesses. However, Mercury square Neptune in your sign suggests confusing messages from someone at work/in authority. Or, the messages you’re giving out may be unclear. Double-check all communication and make sure the facts are not obscured.

The New Moon in your opportunities sector can open a door into the unknown, based on the above developments. This new chapter can plunge you into deep and unfamiliar waters, and Mars/Pluto suggests background power struggles or difficulties with shared finances can add a compulsive edge.

November 11th, 2017: Create Your Future

James Whistler

James Whistler

  • Saturn in Sagittarius trine Uranus Rx in Aries: 25 deg
  • Sun in Scorpio square the Nodes in Aquarius/Leo: 19 deg
  • Pluto conjunct Juno in Capricorn: 17 deg

Saturn/Uranus

Today we see the last of three trines between Saturn and Uranus. Saturn gives form to Uranus’ changes, and Uranus ensures that Saturn’s structure will not be too rigid. Here is the calculated risk, or individuality supported by the rules. You can build something new while maintaining stability in the midst of disruption. Fire signs means this is about looking ahead, creating and having hope for the future.

In the early hours of this morning (from roughly 1:00 am to 7:00 am EST) the Leo Moon will trine Saturn and Uranus, creating a Grand Fire Trine. This is the ultimate circuit of hot potential, ready to be made real (Saturn). But even if you’re not up at the crack of the dawn, you can still benefit all day from Saturn/Uranus.

The previous trines occurred on December 24th, 2016 (20 deg) and May 19th, 2017 (26 deg).

Sun Square The Nodes

The Sun squaring the Nodes may present a challenge. The Sun rules the Leo North Node, and that’s your path forward – something is ready to be created, brought into the light and empowered. But first, a Scorpio issue needs to be confronted; a secret, taboo or dark truth is demanding your attention.

The Aquarius South Node tells us a bit more, since you always progress from the South to the North Node. Something on the fringe (maybe you) – the outsider, the disruption. It’s ready for a place in the centre. Uranus (ruler of the South Node) is getting help from Saturn, so all you need to do is put the chaotic event/rebellious energy into context. Apply some rules to it. Yes, it’s time to come in out of the cold and work with the existing structure.

Part of this process will involve diving in and confronting what’s in the shadows (Scorpio), before you can step into the sunlight. Maybe this is what you never wanted to admit, or what you don’t want anyone to see. It might be easier to remain detached (Aquarius). Scorpio’s absolute commitment to going all the way down and getting dirty means there will be no ironic distance allowed. But if you take the easy way, you’ll miss out on today’s full benefits.

Then again, maybe Scorpio is where you’re stuck. If you’re currently wallowing in the sludge of an obsession or self-destructive habit, it’s time to look up and out. There’s a place down the road (called the Leo North Node) where you can be proud of yoursel. It’s where you have a purpose, because you’ll be creating something that makes you feel good. But you have to want to go there.

Pluto/Juno

Finally, Pluto (ruler of Scorpio) conjoins Juno in Capricorn (ruled by Saturn) and indicates a partnership transformation. Here is the “death” of an old agreement/commitment. Or, the permanent transformation of a partner. Depending on your individual scenario, this could be an ending or evolution that leads to a stronger, more passionate union. Saturn’s dance with Uranus hints at hopeful progress, as long as you don’t stubbornly avoid any changes that make you uncomfortable.

Overall, today is a good day. You’ve got that square to the Nodes and Saturn is prominent. But, he’s making a harmonious aspect. That means you have manifestation power at your fingertips. You can focus and work to make something real, and it shouldn’t feel like a struggle.

You can create your future.
