Venus in Libra square Vesta in Capricorn (26 deg)
Vesta’s rigid focus (in Saturn-ruled Capricorn) can cause tension with a relationship, financial or self-esteem issue. Venus in Libra wants harmony and balance, but the tension of the square suggests that strict concentration on what you want but don’t have (or where you don’t feel good enough) can cause an imbalance.
Today, you may be aware of a situation where you don’t feel loved/liked or where the exchange between you and another is not equal. Know that obsessing about this will increase the blockage you already feel. Consider what rules or boundaries are challenging you and see if there’s a compromise available between what you want versus what is.
For some, excessive focus on responsibility or work can create blocks in the personal life. Are you shutting someone out because of your devotion to status or tradition?

Today is not only Thanksgiving in the US, but it’s also the thirteenth Blogiversary of Astrological Musings. In 2005 my sister, already a blogger, helped me get started on the Thanksgiving holiday and the rest is history. I cherish the fact that many of you have been with me practically from the beginning, and grateful […]

Sagittarius season begins today (Nov 22nd) with the Sun’s ingress at 4:01 AM EST.
This is the season of hope, distant horizons, possibilities and expansion. And of course, this year Sagittarius will juiced up by the presence of Jupiter, at home in his sign. Jupiter will amplify Sag energy in general. Expect more enthusiasm, more opportunities and more optimistic beliefs (whether or not they’re realistic).
Sun Sagittarians with birthdays between November 22nd and November 26th/27th will benefit from a Sun/Jupiter conjunction. This energy will be part of your Solar Return year, which means some area of your life will be bursting with “more” – what can you do with this gift? Jupiter brings something/someone new that is (usually) beneficial. While Jupiter has been known to expand negative potentials, it’s really hard to go wrong with a Sun/Jupiter conjunction. That’s pure power, confidence and faith in the next big thing.
Jupiter is also about wisdom, so this Sag season could trigger new insight and knowledge. Keep your eyes and ears open.
Even if you don’t get this conjunction on your birthday (or if you’re not a Sun Sag) you can still do something with it (see the list below for exact date and degree). The Sun will illuminate the Sagittarius area in your chart and there could be a spot of luck, assistance, growth or a gift. Yes, Jupiter can brings gifts: you don’t have to work to earn Jupiter rewards, although if you want to make the most of them it’s always helpful to do more with what you’re given.
Or, maybe you want to celebrate. Sun/Jupiter can also mean massive enjoyment and sometimes you just want to enjoy what life has to offer.
Here are the aspects the Sagittarius Sun will make:
Nov 23rd: Full Moon (0 deg Gemini)
Nov 26th: conjunct Jupiter (3 deg)
Nov 27th: conjunct Mercury Rx (5 deg)
Dec 2nd: square Mars in Pisces (10 deg)
Dec 4th: sextile Pallas in Libra (12 deg)
Dec 5th: sextile Black Moon Lilith in Aquarius (13 deg)
Dec 5th: square Neptune in Pisces (13 deg)
Dec 7th: New Moon (15 deg)
Dec 12th: inconjunct Juno Rx in Taurus (20 deg)
Dec 18th: inconjunct Cancer North Node (27 deg)
Dec 19th: square Chiron in Pisces (27 deg)
Dec 20th: trine Uranus Rx in Aries (28 deg)
Dec 21st: Capricorn ingress

Moon in Taurus trine Pluto in Capricorn (19 deg)
Moon Void of Course in Taurus (4:58 AM EST)
Moon enters Gemini (11:10 PM EST)
The Moon’s final aspect before it goes VOC is an empowering trine to Pluto. This is a nice way to enter the VOC period, as existing resources, security or values will be gently but firmly intensified. You can sit with what you have or know, and rest assured that for the moment, it’s your best bet. Use the VOC period to work with what you already have, to calmly take stock of your resources or to empower yourself with what feels best for you.
The energy will shift from stable to scattered and energizing as the Moon enters Gemini. The tempo will increase – watch for a flurry of new developments, ideas and conversations that will propel you towards the November 23rd Gemini Full Moon.
