  • Venus in Leo square Uranus in Taurus (6 deg)

  • Leo Sun inconjunct Black Moon Lilith in Pisces (10 deg)

A day for radical female energy.

Venus/Uranus (in Venus-ruled Taurus) is the disruption of secure or habitual expressions of attraction/values/ resources. What you thought was beautiful and worthy of attention will be upended. There can be anxiety combined with an irresistible urge to express a disruptive side of your love life/values/appearance. Will others accept and admire? Some will not, but some will be magnetized by the electric surge of individuality.

This is an aspect that pushes you to question what’s admirable or creative. There can also be a strong urge to take major risks, because the drive to break free and just be yourself/get what you want will be overpowering. Remember that any burned bridges cannot be rebuilt.

Sun/BML illuminates the tension between fame/pride/recognition versus a more subversive, less defined female energy. What you’re proud to display will have to be tempered with what most people don’t want to acknowledge (BML is the witch/prostitute/other woman/outsider). Her influence seeps into Leo’s bright glow and reminds you that there’s more going on underneath. Beneath the glamour is a current of cool, transcendent female energy that cannot be contained or defined. Your audience won’t approve, but that’s ok – this is how you draw public attention to Lilith’s issues.

The trick is not allowing BML’s energy to undermine your power. If she’s mishandled or ignored, she can really do a number on your ego. Treat her with respect but don’t allow her anger at being an outsider to dominate.

BML’s rage at being cast out is always there, no matter what sign she’s in. In Pisces, she may express this in subversive ways. If you’re not fully aware, you’ll ultimately be weakened by her distorted energy. Use her power as an outsider to stealthily dissolve the limits that are keeping you stuck, rather than dissolving your own self-esteem (by making destructive/addictive choices).

Leo New Moon: You Do You

When I saw, on social media, that the founder of a magazine that consistently rejected my work had died, I felt that old feeling of rejection rise up again. It brought up another more recent interaction, too, when, on the cusp of being super jazzed about being able to apply my creative gifts to songwriting, […]

The Leo New Moon offers an opportunity to shine

Art by Larry Landolfi The Moon is new in Leo, the first lunar event since the eclipses of July.  Leo is the sign that celebrates the Self – the healthy Ego, open-hearted, generous and full of life and an ability to embrace joy.  Many of us have been having a very difficult time […]

August 1st, 2019: Venus in Leo Trine Chiron

  • Venus in Leo trine Chiron Rx in Aries (5 deg)

Harmony between Venus and Chiron means finding beauty in the pain. Venus in Leo is proud and passionate, but Chiron adds a touch of humility- there’s an awareness of what it’s like to be an outsider/to be insecure. This aspect enables the confidence to accept what hurts, and the wound can enhance attraction and appreciation – the audience is drawn to the “weakness.”

Healing is found through the recognition that you are special and beautiful, because of your wounds.
