Aries New Moon: The Law of Diminishing Returns
Read the story of any successful person and you’ll hear a litany of failures that preceded the success. We mustn’t give up too soon, but we have to learn to recognize when something isn’t working, so we can redirect all that brash enthusiasm toward a more promising enterprise.

The Unstoppable AOC: A Mighty Saturn Return
It’s easy to forget in all the fuss about the youngest ever congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, that her main asset is her mind (Mercury on the MC). Her evisceration of the campaign finance laws this week demonstrated her razor sharp intelligence and ability to get to the heart of an issue fast. She is not just young, charismatic and dedicated, she is brilliant. AOC is a member of the “Berlin Wall” generation, born with a triple conjunction of revolutionary Uranus, practical Saturn and idealistic Neptune in Capricorn. These folks were born within a tight period, November 1988 through February 1991, when Saturn […]

Full Moon in Gemini: Think Twice

Photo by Juan Pablo Arenas from Pexels
The November 23rd Full Moon takes place at 0 deg Gemini. It opposes Jupiter (which conjoins the Sagittarius Sun) and squares Mars in Pisces.
A Mars/Jupiter square is about big actions – bold, exaggerated, optimistic, risky. Even more so because Jupiter is at full strength in the sign it rules, and Mars is in fluid Pisces (no boundaries). There’s a sense of a massive push that can result in things going much further than anticipated. Mars in Pisces can drift into strange, distant waters.
Gemini is the sign of multiple choices and information, so this culmination may feature a flurry of options and words. You may feel pushed or rushed to choose/speak out, but Mercury (ruler of this Moon) is Rx in Sagittarius. This means the details of the story will have to be carefully examined. You’ll want to run faster/accelerate further, but the information will be in flux. And you may even be returning to something from the past.
It’s a difficult Moon due to the contrasting energies – bold, enthusiastic, dreamy actions/decisions versus the need to think twice and ask questions.
Best advice is slow down if you can. Look very carefully at the choices in front of you, before you leap. There may be a grand opportunity, but there’s a risk of missing a key detail or acting before you know the full story. Remember that things can change once Mercury stations direct (December 6th, 2018).

Sun in Libra opposite Chiron Rx in Aries (0 deg)
Mercury in Libra square Saturn in Capricorn (2 deg)
Mercury in Libra trine Mars in Aquarius (3 deg)
Sun/Chiron illuminates a sore spot or an area requiring unusual courage. You may be reluctant to step up because it’s socially unacceptable. You may want to avoid the issue, or the issue may be projected (it’s not really about you). But Chiron in Aries demands a confrontation. This will be a continuation of yesterday’s Mercury/Chiron opposition.
Speaking of Mercury, the square to Saturn suggests excruciating politeness. Mercury square Saturn can manifest as stiff, halting words. And when Libra is added there is a fear of saying something that’s not acceptable. This will probably be related to the Chiron opposition- if you do the wrong thing, it might hurt. There will be an imbalance between courage and social harmony. Saturn’s rules can’t be broken, but something still needs to be confronted. Libra is about taking that impossible mix and somehow finding the middle ground.
Not great for spontaneous ideas, although the trine to Mars can present an outlet, if you’re paying attention. Watch for a less obvious but still significant way to get your point across. Mars trine Mercury is about words with an easy flow of passion and force, although the shadow of Saturn will clamp down on some of that. Nonetheless, you can still speak out as long as certain rules are respected.
All of the above aspects are part of the September 24th Full Moon, and can be considered advance influences.
