Venus In Pisces – Sea Change
Venus followed up her detached sightseeing tour, carried aloft on the fluffy clouds, fresh air and thermals of Aquarius and from the 24th February 2013 got totally involved and fully immersed in the Water sign of Pisces where it stayed for the past month.
UN World Water Day 22nd March 2013. International Year of Water Co-operation
Is water a commodity or a human right?
All the while Venus has been picking up on any and every slight shift and alteration in her environment. Ideally, Venus loves to spend her time gazing in rapt amazement at the kaleidoscope of sparkling, dazzling images and information that passes through her gossamer boundaries. Now she has taken to bathing in the Pisces ocean having joined the Sun, Sun in Pisces – The Oceans of Infinity & The Sea of Souls and Mercury Mercury in Pisces – Postcards from a Magical Mind, also joining Pisces ruling planet, Neptune and the healing Chiron. Everything seems a lot more porous and impermanent then as Venus spent her time disarming and projecting an open, tolerant and friendly image to embrace whoever she may meet and greet.

Pisces Venus has a halo of glamour and a mysterious aura, quietly seducing and charming until the 22nd March, 2013 when she gets much more active, forthright and energetic in the fire lands of Aries, blazing away with Mars, Uranus and the Sun. This Venus in Pisces has wanted to feed the body, anoint it, in order to make it look and feel lovely. Venus Come Out Of Your Shell. Venus loves beauty in all it’s forms and has an innate appreciation of all the finer things in life, like art, culture and social bonds. Money and fairness come high on the list of Venus desires and a simple run through of her list will give us a clue as to just how fundamental and central she is to our lives. Relationships are key and really paramount to Venus and fairness comes into play here as well.

| Actress/Singer Zooey Deschanel has Venus in Pisces ‘Always the aim for me is making people feel like they are not alone. That’s just the greatest feeling’ |
Pisces wants us to apply our attention to our feelings and to the soulful depths of our being. With Venus the Goddess of Love here for a while she would have urged us to sample the delights of the imagination and to really indulge our fantasies. She will have wanted us to emphasise and understand our fellow man and be respectful to the creatures of the earth. She would have also wanted to be glamourous, to put on a bit of show, to hype things up and sprinkle some stardust over just about everything. Venus in Pisces will want us to connect and stop all that Aquarian detached rational thinking and get on and just ‘be’. Sure you may cry a bit more, you may laugh a bit more but you will feel. The whole world will feel more, as if it has morphed into an altogether different place, most probably a far sweeter one, if Pisces had a chance with much more heart.
Key to understanding what went on for us in retrospect is to look at where in ourselves we are ‘Pisces-attuned’. We all have degrees in our birth chart that intuit any Pisces vibration, our personal Pisces antenna. It will be good to look at how smoothly the matters connected to your Pisces house and/or planets ran. Were they functioning as well as they could or is there now room for improvement?

If you are a Sun sign Pisces then this was all too familiar for you. Yet even a sensitive feeling Pisces needed time alone to sort stuff out and process things. Your hearts desire for kindness and understanding for everyone got an extra boost and this last month may have been just the time to really paint your own colours or after reflecting, of course, get the paintbox out now. All the glitz and glamour, all the hype and spin hides a yearning for something ‘greater than’ with Venus in Pisces, a pull to get out of our small self and join in with something bigger. We could have made ourselves more attractive and glamorous as we dipped into temptation and lured others out into those depths or cold baths.

| Venice A. Fulton has Venus in Pisces Actor Paul Khanna went from Death-eater in Harry Potter to no eater until about mid day, in his program Six Weeks to OMG. Venice self published Six Weeks To OMG initially as an ebook in January 2012 and outsold the Dukan Diet in the UK. The book went on to become the New York Times best seller later that year. |
For this Venus in Pisces month it may have felt like sink or swim in the tides and waves of emotion and imagination but it is good to reflect and remember that you have never been alone. If you reached the end of your tether remember that there was always something hanging on that other end. The Pisces symbol, the two fish, showed us that we are always linked. It just remains for us to find out just what we are linked to and that is a continuing and perhaps an infinite, never ending story.

Pisces symbol is two fish representing the bridge between heaven and earth providing connections between the spiritual and material world, the divine experience brought into our everyday life. The fish was also an early symbol of Christian faith when members were persecuted. Christians having to meet in secret would draw a single arc in the sand another Christian would complete the drawing with a second arc forming a fish. The slippery nature and ambiguity of Pisces coming in very useful as code.

Surfing visionary legend Laird Hamilton has Sun in Pisces ‘To find your passion, you have to look inward. If you look outward, all you’ll see is what other people are doing. You’re not other people.’ |
It can be good to haunt the mysterious world of the imagination, floating around supported by what appears to be the invisible with an endless stretch of open water ahead of us. Now we can fully join, empathise and feel with all those other creatures who live with us and with what may live and breathe in the further spaces yet to explore.
At first glance, there does not seem to be any roads, paths or sense of direction to this territory, it all seems to be one big well of water where there seems to be little or no form or structure. Until we hit rock bottom that is, then we find out exactly where the limits of our new space reside and take action. Mars on Pisces – Eternal Affectations
How to know just where to go asks the confused traveller, how is it all organized, do I just follow the crowds going this way? That is some strange dance but who knows? Just as life in all its beauty and colours is lived in Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, with the coral building their own cities according to some grand unknown pattern, so too during this period of time we shall all encounter and merge with others to make our contribute to society.

Suffragette Movement Leader/Astronomer/Womans Suffrage Journal Lydia Becker has Sun in Pisces
There is a shift to the infinite, to the imaginable and unimaginable, most welcome after the removed and scientific world of the Sun in Aquarius environment of last month
Here in Pisces we encounter the vivid, the vapid and the extraordinary. We may have thought that Sun in Aquarius last month was bizarre with all its unexpected twists and turns but now things can get truly surreal. Here in the Pisces Oceania, the world begins to reveal its mysterious and glorious visions as we slide and glide our way through. Now we will have the space to dream, fantasise and we can only imagine who and what else may magically appear before us next, perhaps even on the silver screen.

We have a clear choice now, to stay on the surface where it is warm and light and currents wind and waves have more effect upon our movement, or we dive down deeper into the darker, colder murkier environment of the inky black depths. We may notice that being in Pisces brings with it strange dualities and conundrums such ‘its this or that’, ‘you can’t have this without the other’ and ‘this always brings that!’ there are so many more complications and predicaments to which we are suddenly made aware in this land. ‘Oh why is it not more simple?’ many of you may cry, well for those of you with Sun sign Pisces you already know exactly the truth of this; it is part of your mythology.
As we all journey with the Sun, we will all move into Pisces and its complexities and ancient wisdom. It’s symbol is that of two fishes joined together, whether they are cavorting or paralysed is unclear, but as a water sign its medium is emotion and it thrives on feeling. A fish is cold blooded and descriptions of Pisces frequently flow and glow about how feeling, emotional and intuitive they are, true many if not most have all of these traits, but this is a dual sign, there are two fish, and just as one may want to swim on the surface the other tugs into the deep, or visa versa.
Nothing is clear, certain definite or distinct. Water merges invisibly with water, it disappears into the earth, is carried along by the air and evaporates with heat, its boundaries filling and adapting to the holding vessel or dominant medium. It does not mix with oil, there are some things which resist its force and sometimes its own force is the most dominant, although it can sneak up on you suddenly or spend decades slowly and invisibly eroding the structure.
For this month, during your stay in this water world, do not take things for granted, know that the unknowable lives and breathes a fraction away from your breath and accept that the mysterious can seem to be playing games with your head.
Sensitive and sweet, chilly and warm, uncharted and relaxing, scary and safe, highly changeable and slightly narcotic, welcome to Pisces Seascapes where unfathomable issues and behaviour ebb and flow around us, whether we like it or not. Whether we ponder, have an answer, deliberately evade or debate, at some level we will eventually have to meet in ourselves or in others multiple layers upon layers of meaning. Things will be more complex than imagined, more complicated and not as they seem.
So what can we expect as Pisces energy pours down once again to us through the Sun’s rays? After all we will be affected whether we are indoors, outdoors, sleeping or waking, we will be saturated in its radical and far-reaching powers. We can expect to be more sensitive and highly attuned to the space and inhabitants of the world. We will pick up on the nuanced, the lyrical, the uplifting, as well as the suffering and wrong doings. Themes of sacrifice and immersion, loss, faith and spirituality may rise to the surface and instantly recognised or sink down in to be hidden in the depths operating submarine like – hidden, unseen, yet ancient and powerful.

Pisces New Moon: The Knower
I used to co-teach a monthly new moon astrology class, one where we’d give a handout months’ worth of transits coming down the pike. Always, students bemoaned the transits. Mercury is retrograde, again? What good is that? Yet hope springs eternal — even in the heart of the most jaded starwatcher. When Jupiter met Venus, […]
