Mercury in Virgo makes a tense inconjunct to Pallas Rx in Aquarius, at 27 degrees. Words may be inadequate to express that intriguing vision you’re trying to develop. Step back from logic and look at the facts from a slightly different angle. Stop trying to make it fit, and allow the new pieces to fall randomly. At the same time, know that brilliant patterns are ineffective if no one can understand them. You’re being asked to translate by bringing the revolutionary concept down to earth.

Virgo Season: Chaos Wrangler

Virgo season begins on August 22nd. The Sun joins Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and the North Node. This brings the energy to a peak (in the Virgo section of your chart) that will last until August 29th (when Venus enters Libra).

Correct, improve, refine, worry, criticize, analyze. Spot the flaw. Make it better. This can be your ultimate upgrade, or your struggle in the intricate web of anxiety. When Virgo is strongly activated, it’s helpful to focus smart. Focus on what you can change, only change what matters, and tune out the useless details/worries that drain your energy.

Virgo is about discrimination and order. Wrestling with chaos, whittling it down to the essentials and presenting a clean, sharp, useful result. There will always be chaos, and trying to tackle it all guarantees failure (and a migraine). This is why Virgo is most effective with small adjustments and immediate issues. During this ultra-intense Virgo season, just take care of what you can. Focus on doing the most essential things really well, and don’t worry about the rest.

This season, the big deals hitting Virgo are:

This is a lot for a sign that’s compelled to wrestle order out of chaos. There will be slippage, there will be mistakes. You’ll miss something. You just can’t nail it all down with this mix of energies. But you can learn to let go of what’s beyond your control, and you can develop a quality that Virgo doesn’t always have: faith. Yes, this will be your test to not assume the worst. You’ll have to do the work, of course. There’s something that you need to upgrade: your health, your self-esteem, your relationship, your______. Something needs to be purified. But as I wrote earlier, the key will be focusing in the right area, and not getting distracted by the minutia of what’s beyond your control.

Here’s something hopeful: Mercury (Virgo’s ruler) will be making its first of two conjunctions to Jupiter (at 26 degrees). More (Jupiter) details (Virgo), but more in a good way. Your knowledge will expand. Mercury/Jupiter puts you on track to the make the best decision, or say the right thing. Intuition is blended with logic. It’s an encouraging way to begin this tumultuous Virgo season. It means you’ll have all the tools you need. This conjunction also ties in with the September 1st eclipse.

Here are the aspects the Sun in Virgo will make:

  • Aug 28th: trine Ceres, 3 deg Taurus
  • Sept 1st: New Moon eclipse, 9 deg
  • Sep 1st: sextile Juno, 10 deg Scorpio
  • Sep 1st: square to Saturn, 10 deg Sag
  • Sep 2nd: opposition to Neptune Rx, 10 deg Pisces
  • Sep 3rd: sextile Black Moon Lilith, 11 deg Scorpio
  • Sep 4th: conjoins North Node, 12 deg
  • Sep 7th: trine Pluto Rx, 15 deg Capricorn
  • Sep 9th: sextile Vesta, 17 deg Cancer

You won’t get it perfect today. You’ll be challenged to help/care/nurture the best you can, when it feels like your best attempts are being blocked.

Mercury in Virgo opposes Chiron Rx in Pisces and makes a sharp inconjunct to Uranus Rx in Aries, at 24 degrees. Digging for the truth behind the flaw will trigger unexpected results. There may be harsh criticisms, or the impulsive urge to correct someone. If you see something that’s just begging for improvement, take note. Acknowledge the issue, but know that you won’t be able to say the perfect thing that makes it all better. And, someone else may not be interested in your helpful suggestions.

Saturn in Sagittarius makes an inconjunct to Vesta, at 9 degrees Cancer. Vesta’s devotion to an emotional or security issue is blocked by Saturn’s external obligations/rules. The pressure to care for someone can feel impossible. Where there’s resistance, know that you need to step back and accommodate outside rules and your focus. It will be uncomfortable, but necessary.

New Moon Eclipse in Virgo: The Saturn/Neptune Publishing House

The September 1st New Moon eclipse (at 9 degrees Virgo) is all about the Saturn/Neptune square. New beginnings will be based on the square’s shifting versions of reality. Your eyes may have to adjust to these freshly printed truths.

The Sun and Moon will square Saturn in Sagittarius and oppose Neptune Rx in Pisces. Everything I wrote about here  , has been building through August. And maybe as far back as November 2015, when the square first took shape. This eclipse will be the cherry on top of the sundae that’s been melting and freezing, melting and freezing.

The new facts (Virgo) will be the results of old ideas/structures dissolving, and new potentials gelling. This process is anxiety-making. As I wrote in an earlier post:

“Squares create discomfort, and this square will make you uncomfortable because you’ll be confronting an illusion, or fear. Or both….trying to fight under a Neptune square is tricky. The target can shift and dissolve.”

It won’t be a triumphant eclipse. There will be some humbling. This is Virgo, after all. You may have to give something up. But, if you’ve held fast in the face of dissolving evidence, insisting that your faith was aligned with the right thing, this eclipse might prove you correct. Not with a blast of trumpets, but with a quiet *click* as the confirmation arrives. But this will only happen if you’ve been tuned into the real deal. If you’ve been trying to prop up a fantasy…get ready to say goodbye.

The Mars/Saturn conjunction from August 24th, and Mars/Neptune square from August 26th, will also be featured, as Mars will still be close to Saturn/Neptune. Which takes us back to August 13th, when Saturn stationed direct at the degree it conjoined Mars. Or, back to April 17th, when Mars stationed Rx. Any or all of these dates could hold an important clue about what will go down, during the eclipse. The Mars trigger could involve work that needs to be completed, or action/anger that’s been denied and undermined. Mars battling Saturn/Neptune is like running on shifting sand dunes. And yet, you find a way to move forward.

Before we get too discouraged, let’s take note that Mercury Rx (ruler of this eclipse) will be very close to Jupiter in Virgo, at 28 degrees. That’s some good news (due to a review or repeat), no matter what the eclipse brings. This harkens back to August 22nd, when Mercury direct first conjoined Jupiter (another key date with an eclipse hint).

The facts will be hopeful, or at least helpful. Jupiter rules Sagittarius, so there’s an indication that you can grow within Saturn’s new realities. Jupiter always means expansion, and Neptune is also an expansive influence. Any losses or restrictions were just side-effects of you being shifted into a new position. Now that you’re correctly aligned, you can move onwards and upwards.

Finally, this eclipse is aligned with the Virgo North Node/Pisces South Node. The bigger picture is about new facts/information pointing you forward so you can develop something whose time has come. The future is real, and this eclipse will give you a guidebook, hot off the Saturn/Neptune press.

You’ll notice the multiple dates connected to this eclipse. In true Mutable fashion, its impact has been unfolding in layers. To clarify, I’ll give you a list. The dates before September 1st have provided clues about what the eclipse will bring. The dates after September 1st will indicate possible delayed eclipse events, or information yet to be uncovered. An additional layer may unfold, but for now (September 1st) it’s not quite ready. A prime example is the Full Moon eclipse in Pisces, later in September.

Changing The Way We Bridge The Gap, Saturn Direct, Aquarius Full Moon

During the past few months, goals were cosmically paused (and dropped); leaving many in a state of confusion and misdirection with Saturn retrograde, and the slippery influence of Neptune. What may have seemed rock steady, potentially secure or comfortable, became unhinged… which added extra pressure to the strength of its foundation. So in the last five months, some of […]

Saturn Direct in Sagittarius and Venus in Virgo

Saturn in Sagittarius stations direct, at 9 degrees on August 13th. The ever-shifting Saturn/Neptune square goes through another adjustment. What was put on hold when Saturn stationed Rx will move forward. The rules, the truth, have been redefined. Or, your understanding has changed, due to Saturn Rx’s intensified reality check.

Venus in Virgo squares Saturn Rx, defining your first task. A deficiency will be revealed and you’ll be able to implement a major correction. Relationships or habits that have been eroding your self-esteem can be tightened up. Or deleted. Saturn is about boundaries.

Venus heads into an opposition with Neptune Rx (11 degrees Pisces) on August 14th, and crosses the North Node, on August 15th. After the Saturn squeeze, there’s relief and a clue that you’re heading in the right direction. As ruler of the Pisces South Node, Neptune opposing Venus asks you to release old patterns of guilt, victimization and addiction. Why are you punishing/sacrificing yourself? Why are you trying to fix something that’s beyond repair? You’re not helpless, and your future lies in the opposite direction of what you’ve been pining after. A conjunction between Venus and the North Node in Virgo points you towards your healthiest relationship or financial option. It helps you make the most discerning choice about your future happiness.
