Capricorn New Moon at the Solstice: The dark point of stillness

“The black moment is the moment when the real message of transformation is going to come.  At the darkest moment comes the light.” – Joseph Campbell
The Capricorn New Moon will occur just six minutes after the moment of the Winter Solstice – the point at which the Sun moves into Capricorn in the tropical system. […]

Venus Meets The Uranus-Pluto Square: Peeling The Onion

We really don’t know what we’re getting into when we fall in love with another, do we? We fall under the spell of love, we fall for someone trustworthy, kind and true, and trust that no matter what comes our way, the tender feelings we have for one another will insulate and protect us from […]

December Horoscopes

You wouldn’t expect a year like 2014 to sidle out quietly would you? Nope, it’s more of a door-slamming, hair-tossing, name-calling kind of exit. But before we get to the end of the month, there is a lot of intriguing planetary activity that promises to make December 2014 memorable. To read your December horoscope, click here. Please read both your rising sign and your Sun sign. November Monthly Horoscopes

Some fiery surprises lurk in the heart of sombre November. I won’t say any more than that. You need to read your Sun sign and your Rising sign. To get your horoscope click here. This month’s horoscope page is an homage to Hilma af Klint (b. October 26, 1844), the Swedish artist, mystic and anthoposophist. These works came out of her communications with spirit guides. Astrology was part of her mystical understanding of the cosmos. With special thanks to Maija (I think it was you but the story has vanished from the feed!) for telling me about her.

Virgins, Black Power, African Liberation…

The month of Virgo was beautiful here, one warm soft day follows another. But the weather was also strange and unseasonable. The nights draw in but the days are as warm as summer. It’s dreamlike. Being deep in the dream of Virgo this year — with the help of an opposition from Neptune in Pisces perhaps — I understood the sign in a new way*, and this, in turn has brought on some thoughts about our on-going aspect between Uranus and Pluto. Here’s a rather Neptunian train of thought. In ancient times, virgin was less a description of a woman’s sexual experience than a description of her social status. When […]

Astrology of Now: Open Enemies

Walk into Libra’s garden, the seventh house of the chart, and you will find yourself in a bower of sweet scented roses, treading on forget-me-nots, violas, love-in-the-mist. You might stroll down a lover’s walk through dripping wisteria to a summerhouse by a romantic lake. The seventh house is where you meet your match. But oh, we know our match is not always what we expected or wanted. It turns out to be not a lover, but an adversary, a rival, a competitor. This is the garden of partnership, but it is also called the house of “open enemies” — a delicious irony and a delicate insight into the […]

Sep 10, 2014 POTUS on ISIS threat: Moon conjunct Uranus

Oh, Masonic Washington, What Are You Brewing?

by Jude Cowell

Update 8:12 pm EDT: the following post fails to mention that at 8:57 pm Wednesday evening the Moon becomes void-of-course (until Sept 11 at 9:16 pm EDT when Luna enters Taurus) and the usual implication for the beginning of an enterprise under such an influence is to expect no results. However, a VOC Moon period can also indicate
