New Moon February 2012 – Slippery Eels
The New Moon on 21 February 2012 is at 2º Pisces 42’ and on the royal star Fomalhaut in the southern fish. A misty-eyed mermaid of a Moon since we also get Moon conjunct Neptune. Neptune hasn’t quite reached Fomalhaut yet, but when it does we can expect some magic alongside some serious sea-fog. With this moon we get a taste of what’s to come. Whether it be severe delusion or the ultimate in poetic, sublime, soul mate romance, it will be very hard to keep ones feet on the ground. Thank god then we have the female Spock goddess Pallas Athena conjunct the Moon and on Sadalmelik in the metaphysical water bearers shoulder. This new moon is a mash up of both Pisces and Aquarius archetypes. Uranus has even moved off volatile Scheat and onto Deneb Kaitos in the tail of the whale. It’s still another restless star though and has a self-sabotaging, self-destructive feel to it. Uranus is important to this moon also at 2º. Water in one hand then and electricity in the other. Moon Conjunct Uranus
Moon conjunct Uranus types veer between the kooky, crazed lunatic and the unconventional rebel. Some have a pathological need to shock and outrage, but they are surprisingly often shy and uncomfortable with the notoriety this outrageous behaviour brings them. Moon conjunct Uranus can be branded attention seekers, when all they are doing is simply being themselves. The roots of this seemingly bonkers behaviour very often stems from their upbringing. The mother was either a genius, a very eccentric individual, really spaced-out or totally absent. Whatever the case, the mother was just not the same as other mothers so these kids grow up feeling that they are unusually special or that they not worthy of normal parenting because they are freaks. Sometimes there is an odd mix of the two which leaves them feeling very insecure. Another manifestation of this is that the mother was more of a best friend than a nurturer, so that the child grows up too fast and sees or hears things that were far too adult for them. This can make them childhood prodigies or overly precocious. Some of them reclaim their lost childhood as adults, and are accused of living a fantasy existence. At least […]

Full Moon January 2011 – Star Wars
The full moon on 19 January 2011 at 29 degrees Cancer is trine Jupiter, sprinkling much needed luck and laughter upon us after the dramas and chaos of the Christmas holidays. Our emotions are warmed and we are feeling generous. But we are going to have to put this benefic influence to good use. For we also get some very complex aspect patterns here. Primarily a mystic rectangle which contains a Yod. The players are Jupiter opposite Juno, Sun opposite Moon, and Chiron at the Yod apex. At the Solar Eclipse we were seeking out our soulmate. Now we have found them and realize we have met our match. Oh dear!.. Jupiter and Juno were the cosmic version of Liz Taylor and Richard Burton, with their epic fights and jealous squabbles. Juno inflicted rather harsh punishments on any nymph whom Jupiter took a fancy too, giving him hell in the process. She was no compliant wife. This is where her punitive side comes out, but she also stands for bringing about justice and a fair outcome.
