• Sun in Leo inconjunct Saturn Rx: (3 deg Capricorn)

Mercury in Leo stations Rx, triggering the usual delays, rethinks, questions and reconnections with people from the past. In the context of Leo, you may see questions about why something was made public, or if you should speak publicly. Mercury Rx can be an investigation of what lies behind the shine – the truth behind the fame. This may become pronounced on August 11th, when Mercury squares Jupiter in Scorpio (Jupiter expands what lies in the shadows). Thoughts about pride, attention and creative purpose will be emphasized, because Mercury Rx concentrates the focus on one specific issue. And since Mars in Aquarius is also Rx (with Uranus, ruler of Aquarius stationing Rx on August 7th) count on this Mercury retrograde (until August 19th when Mercury stations direct) to have more than the usual amount of delays and reviews. 

Mercury’s Rx will go from 23 to 11 deg Leo, so if you have anything at these degrees of the Fixed signs, you’ll feel this retrograde most strongly. 

The Sun’s inconjunct to Saturn Rx points to yet another delay, as a reinforced rule or limit must be factored into what you’re trying to create, celebrate or display. Both sides of the inconjunct are valid, but they don’t quite work together. So you have to make some adjustments – dial back the energy a bit to accommodate a restriction. Along with Mercury Rx, this can be an ultra-frustrating day. Just accept that you can’t force something- you’ll have to be patient because you’re on the Universe’s schedule.
