  • Venus stations direct (25 deg Libra)

  • Mercury stations retrograde (13 deg Sagittarius)

Venus direct signals forward movement for relationship, financial, social and self-esteem matters. Rx since October 5th, her direct motion in Libra will be felt strongly because she rules this sign. Watch for an imbalance to be corrected. You could feel more centered as you discover the ideal point between two options.

Venus Rx was the time to re-evaluate all Venus matters. Venus direct is the time to move forward with what you’ve learned. By now, you should have more certainty about what you want, what you’re worth and who really loves you. If this means saying goodbye, so be it.

But it’s not all straightforward. Venus stations direct in the morning (5:50 AM EST) and Mercury stations Rx in the evening (8:33 PM EST). Mercury Rx in Sag will raise questions about the story, the promise, the future or something you’ve put your faith in. But Sagittarius and Libra are in two different areas of you chart, so you should still see some progress in one area.

However, pay attention to any questions that come up, especially since Mercury almost perfects a square to Neptune Rx in Pisces just before it stations Rx. This suggests a lie, miscommunication or fake sales pitch on the horizon – you see it up ahead and may have a sense that something is not quite right. But for now, you’re stepping back and carefully reviewing your options.

Mercury direct will perfect the square with Neptune on December 24th, so that will be your chance to fully confront the lie/fantasy. The square suggests turning a corner and revealing the truth. During this retrograde, ask questions and keep your eyes open. Listen to the story, but don’t accept it blindly.

In general, Mercury Rx in Sag can impact matters involving travel, advertising, education, religion, law, publishing, faith and hope. Each question brings you closer to the truth, but first you may have to confront a loss of faith, loss of direction or challenges to wisdom. Remember – it’s the details within the big picture that matter now.

Mercury Rx will back into Scorpio on December 1st and station direct on December 6th. Mercury will re-enter Sagittarius on December 12th.

Mars’ Transit of Pisces

Mars enters Pisces today (November 15th) at 5:20 PM EST. After a long, retrograde induced sojourn of Aquarius, Mars is finally moving on.

You may feel this shift more significantly than most Mars transits, because Mars has been spending so much time in one area of your chart (the Aquarius section, along with the very end of Capricorn).

Mars in Pisces is indirect action. It’s drifting rather than pushing. Allowing rather than initiating. You cannot force anything in Pisces, so Mars can be a bit uncomfortable here. But it’s also a nice way to end the year – things will happen as they’re meant to, and all you have to do is be open to that. Do what you can, and let the rest take care of itself. There may be a release as the tension of the past few months dissolves. Sometimes the most you can “do” is let go.

Mars in Pisces (your actions) creates ripples, but you will have minimal control over what they’ll hit. The best you can do is ensure that your initial motivations and intentions are healthy. This also means taking care of yourself, because when Pisces is activated there is an increased risk for vulnerability. Mars in Pisces can drift down some questionable paths.

This is an excellent transit for creative work, meditation, relaxation and healing. Good for dreaming and drinking, so keep an eye on the indulgences this holiday season – Mars in Pisces can take you too far, especially with the upcoming square to Jupiter.

Here are the aspects Mars in Pisces will make:

  • Nov 19th: square Jupiter in Sagittarius (2 deg)

  • Nov 25th: trine Ceres in Scorpio (5 deg)

  • Nov 26th: square Mercury Rx in Sagittarius (6 deg)

  • Nov 27th: sextile Saturn in Capricorn (7 deg)

  • Dec 2nd: square Sun in Sagittarius (10 deg)

  • Dec 5th: inconjunct Pallas in Libra (12 deg)

  • Dec 7th: conjunct Neptune (13 deg)

  • Dec 17th: sextile Pluto in Capricorn (20 deg)

  • Dec 17th: sextile Juno Rx in Taurus (20 deg)

  • Dec 27th: trine the North Node in Cancer (26 deg)

  • Dec 29th: conjunct Chiron (28 deg)

  • Dec 31st: Aries ingress

November 15th, 2018: Take Action

  • Waxing Square between the Aquarius Moon and Scorpio Sun (23 deg)

  • Mars in Aquarius sextile Uranus Rx in Aries (29 deg)

The Waxing Square can disrupt control, survival or intimacy with an abrupt flash of something out of left field. A new development, break from the rules or external prompt can force you to bring something out into the open, or give up some control. Too, you may be compelled to detach yourself from a situation that’s been taking up all your energy. Is it time to step back or move forward from the fixation? The shock may be unpleasant but it’s a sign that a situation needs to be stirred up.

You need to take action.

Continuing the Uranus theme, Mars in the final degree of Aquarius makes a sextile to Uranus (ruler of Aquarius). Mars will enter Pisces later today, but before it does, the action planet gets a an encouraging nudge from Uranus – this energy favours stepping out of bounds, taking a mild risk or breaking with convention. Mars and Uranus are in mutual reception (in each other’s rulers) so the energy of sudden or rebellious actions is intensified.

However, the harmony of the sextile ensures that the delivery of this energy will be easy to handle (you won’t have to do anything too crazy) and this can help immensely with the Waxing Square (which is action-based crisis).

Now’s your moment to step forward, even if you don’t want to (especially if you don’t want to).
