A Mini-Lesson on Parallels and Contraparallels We’ve got a lot of parallels and contra-parallels perfecting today, so maybe it’s time …
Waxing Trine between the Taurus Moon and Capricorn Sun (26 deg)
Sun in Capricorn conjunct the South Node (26 deg)
Ceres in Scorpio trine the Cancer North Node (26 deg)
The Waxing Trine enables smooth progress as rules and ambitions are integrated with habits and security. What works for you and makes you comfortable will fit easily into a structure – your plans can progress slowly but surely if you use what you’ve got.
The Waxing Trine also involves the Sun’s conjunction to the South Node, so part of moving forward will involve the integration of a past rule or result. Or, perhaps an ending is necessary before you can take your next step. The Capricorn South Node suggests a law, judgement or responsibility that is now delivering results. How can you make the most of this? The Earth sign emphasis means visible, physical results – perhaps a structural foundation, material resources or the body.
Meanwhile, Ceres’ trine to the North Node encourages the development of a new area of emotional awareness. Deep nurturing can open the door to something that makes you vulnerable, but it’s safe – you can explore your needs without being hurt. The mother/child dynamic is very strong here and there may be someone who’s acting as your caring guide (or perhaps you’re intensifying the nurturing you’re capable of). Any relationship that involves unconditional care and support can move in a good direction.
The solidity of the Waxing Trine can support the development of a new path that takes you towards something that feels good and right – something that resonates in your core even if you can’t articulate it yet.
Overall, this can be a quietly productive day with progress that’s significant but not dramatic.

I have a number of clients who have Pluto crossing their ascendant. One of them is concerned, “everything is happening all at once”. I dug up this post for him so he see that what he is experiencing is “normal”. … Read More…

Sun in Capricorn square Pallas in Libra (25 deg)
Social (Libra) strategies (Pallas) are challenged by the rules of the establishment (or manager/father/boss/judge). Pallas always suggests some kind of battle (she’s named after Pallas Athena, the goddess of wisdom who wore armor) but in Libra, the fight is discreet and sheathed in clever words and a polite facade. Nonetheless, these strategies can be ultra-effective if deployed with skill (the argument that’s won with diplomacy or the tension that’s diffused with social engineering).
The Capricorn Sun will illuminate the issue while blocking the effectiveness of carefully balanced solutions. Rules will not allow for compromise, or one person may refuse to play the game as they lower the hammer. Today it will be difficult to succeed if you’re trying to win while coming out unscathed (and still looking like a nice person). Win-win will not be possible.
Accept that there will be friction and be prepared to deal with someone’s power trip or rigid boundaries.
