Musings on autism and astrology: 2019 edition

A reader recently sent me a thesis he wrote about correlations between astrology and autism.  As many of you know, this is an area of interest to me and I have written on this before (the archive of autism posts can be found here). My reader quoted a few different sources which seem to correlate […]

Astrology of Now: Battle of the Geminis

Like much of the country, I was glued to the TV last night as the British Parliament took back control. It was theatrical. The cabal of profiteers sitting on the front bench, who currently control the Conservative party and government, visibly deflated and began to fray. The odious Rees Mogg, (“leader of the house” no less) actually slid down the front bench, looking like a peevish tween who’s been ticked off by nanny. Prime Minister Johnson blustered, fumed and rumpled like a cartoon baddie. You could almost see the steam coming out of his ears and the thought bubble with […]

September 4th, 2019: Venus Opposite Neptune

Adolphe Piot

Adolphe Piot

  • Venus in Virgo opposite Neptune Rx in Pisces (17 deg)

Neptune dissolves Venus in Virgo’s specifics, so facts about relationships, money or self-esteem become blurry. The details of what you want may be vague or take on sacrificial undertones. Perhaps it seems like a good idea to give all in order to prove your love. Or perhaps you’re questioning your value.

Pay attention to what’s undermining the truth about what you want. Watch for the urge to throw it all away because it wasn’t right. An opposition from Neptune is not truth, it’s the release of what you thought you knew. Your first urge (to sacrifice, to debase, to doubt everything) is probably wrong. But what comes after that…

This aspect is part of the T-Square, and it’s tricky. Neptune can expand the desire for slavery or expand your doubts of how valuable/attractive you are. An opposing force can challenge what you thought was correct about love/money. Before you give or doubt, ask questions.

This is the aspect of innocence, as Venus in Virgo’s purity is hi-lighted by Neptune’s transcendence. But with the hard aspect of the opposition, purity can also be a way of avoiding what’s real. The flaws in the elevation of perfection are illuminated.

Planetary news this week: Sun, Mercury and Mars

Deviant Art In traditional astrology, when a planet comes “under the beams” of the Sun, meaning it conjoins the Sun, it is considered to be “combust.”  This means that the energy of the planet under the beams can literally burn up in the fire of the Sun, which is considered a bad thing.  […]

Can Scorpio See Through Taurus?

bullfightTaurus and Scorpio are intensely attracted.  It’s rarely comfortable for either person. They’re attracted in a romantic way, but just as often, they’re pitted against each other in some other way. I’m often asked, if Scorpio can see through their … Read More…
