Planetary news this week: Jupiter/Neptune, and the Libra New Moon
It’s an interesting fact that the astrological factor associated with spirituality is the same as the symbolism associated with creative inspiration. And also delusion. That is not to say that spirituality and creativity are the same as delusion, but when the veil between the Divine and the practical begin to thin there is some danger […]

Sun Into Libra And The Fall Equinox

The Sun’s Libra ingress takes place on September 23 at 3:50 AM EDT.
Here we are at another Fall Equinox. The hours of daylight and darkness are equal and then we cross the threshold into lengthening nights. All equinoxes and solstices are times of increased power-in this case, there is a brief time of balance before things get darker. What can you do with this? As a time of harvest, you take stock of what you’ve planted and grown since the spring. What are you reaping now? Do you have enough to sustain you through the cold months ahead? Balance is a moment of stillness – use this to objectively see where you’re at before things start moving again.
This could be a literal issue (involving food or money) or a metaphorical issue where you take stock of your relationships, lifestyle or progress in a situation.
If you don’t have enough to sustain you, consider how you can beef up your material or emotional resources. Remember that Libra is about one-on-one relationships. So there’s always another involved, whether or not you’re a loner. Consider what you project, what’s being projected onto you, and whether your relationships sustain or deplete you.
Some key themes during this Libra season will be the Sun’s opposition to Chiron RX in Aries (projected wounds, confronting the necessary awkwardness) and the Sun’s squares to Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn (authority, obligations, power and deconstruction will upset the balance). Libra strives for balance in all situations but harmony and compromise will not be possible for much of this season. This is happening for a reason – sometimes you have to rock the boat in order to find a new centre.
Where is your centre? Or, do you prefer to swing between extremes?
Here the aspects the Libra Sun will make:
Sept 26: opposite Chiron RX in Aries (3°)
Sept 28: New Moon (5°)
Sept 29: inconjunct Uranus RX in Taurus (5°)
Oct 6: square the Nodes in Capricorn/ Cancer (13°)
Oct 7: square Saturn in Capricorn (14°)
Oct 9: inconjunct Neptune RX in Pisces (16°)
Oct 10: sextile Ceres in Sagittarius (17°)
Oct 11: inconjunct Black Moon Lilith in Pisces (17°)
Oct 13: sextile Jupiter in Sagittarius (20°)
Oct 13: Full Moon in Aries (20°)
Oct 14: square Pluto in Capricorn (20°)
Oct 18: inconjunct Vesta RX in Taurus (25°)
Oct 23: Scorpio ingress
