Minor planet Chaos was discovered on November 19 1998. For it’s meaning the first thing we think of is disruption and the world falling apart. The use of the word Chaos as meaning disorder and anarchy came relatively recently in Elizabethan times. The ancient Greek meaning for Chaos was “Emptiness, vast void, chasm, abyss” from the verb which meant “gape, be wide open”, Wiki. If anything, I think Chaos is more to do with creation than destruction, Chaos is said to be the first of the primordial Gods and represents air. Asteroid Atropos 273 is a main belt Asteroid discovered in Vienna on March 8 1888. She is the third dark aspect of the three fates so fits into Dark Moon astrology. Atropos is the cutter of the cord of life and her Roman equivalent is Morta, Italian for death. So very final then! Asteroid Hygeia
Asteroid Hygeia is the fourth largest of the asteroids and takes 5.5 years to orbit the Sun. It was named after the Greek goddess of health, daughter of Asclepius (god of medicine). So as the personification of health, cleanliness, and sanitation, we might consider that asteroid 10 Hygeia relates to these things in astrology. Other astrologers have said as much which I will mention later. I’ll also look at some transits involving Hygiea for an operation I had recently which I must say do confirm the belief that she does have an astrological association with health. First though, I’ll show the discovery chart and see if there is anything there which might be associated with the meaning of the name, “Hygeia“.
