Mike Johnson: In the Realms of Jupiter

by Jude Cowell, partisan for American Democracy
As you’ve heard, Speaker of the House (Maga) Mike Johnson has now revealed that he’s the "new Moses" according to the voice of God, he says. This is much too arrogant for this Protestant, especially if one supposes that Johnson believes his ‘mission’ is to bring down a new law from Mount Sinai – or from Capitol Hill, more like.
Then of course,

November 24th, 2019: Venus Conjunct Jupiter and Mars Opposite Uranus

  • Venus in Sagittarius conjunct Jupiter (28°)

  • Mars in Scorpio opposite Uranus RX in Taurus (3°)

Venus/Jupiter is abundance, gifts and the expansion of what you want. Hopes are high: this could be a lucky break, idealistic relationship or time of burgeoning self-esteem as you attract something big.

Mars/Uranus is a result involving a sudden break or abrupt action. The tension of the opposition suggests that it will be quite dramatic. Uranus’ disruptions can trigger intensive reactions that have been simmering in the shadows. What bursts forth from a Fixed sign like Scorpio is potent because it has been building slowly.

The themes of risk and freedom are emphasized. Jupiter is about future growth and Uranus Is the rule -breaker. You may attract an amazing opportunity and you’ll have to place your faith in the future. At the same time, consider what you’re breaking away from but be careful-events can spiral out of control with hard aspects to Uranus.

How much is the risk worth? Or, does the disruptive ending have a silver lining?

November 12th, 2019: Mars Sextile Jupiter

  • Mars in Libra sextile Jupiter in Sagittarius (25°)

  • Chiron RX in Aries trine Pallas in Sagittarius (1 °)

Mars/Jupiter is a “lucky” influence, and I placed that word in quotes because in order to activate the beneficial energy, you have to do something.

Mars in Libra is about balanced, sociable actions. In a harmonious sextile with Jupiter (expansion, optimism, opportunity) there’s an excellent chance to succeed, as long as you act in a way that’s equitable and polite. Go with the social flow but don’t be afraid to reach for a new opportunity-your efforts should be accepted by others and your timing (assuming that you’re willing to compromise) should be bang on.

Compromise and politeness are key-this is not about doing something crazy or radical. It may even be better if you act in alignment with someone else. This sounds fairly restrictive, but if you’re willing to balance your actions with others, you should find that an opportunity happens naturally.

The vibe is positive, energetic and sociable-make the most of your relationships.

Chiron/Pallas presents an opportunity to strategize your way through a hurtful situation. If you’re feeling vulnerable or exposed by the battle that you have to fight alone, there are new solutions for you to access. Open your eyes to what you haven’t considered previously-you may need to learn something new or consider input from unusual sources. There’s a bigger pattern, or a larger belief system, that you can apply to what hurts. This can also be about teaching others how to deal with their wounds.

October 25th, 2019: Some Of What You Want

  • Venus in Scorpio sextile Pluto in Capricorn (20°)

  • Jupiter in Sagittarius conjunct Ceres (22°)

Venus in Pluto-ruled Scorpio, in harmonious aspect to Pluto, is given an extra boost of quiet power. Here we have deeply private or subterranean wants, resources or values that are intensified by the breakdown and transformation of structures. This sounds dramatic, and it is! But Scorpio’s hidden nature and the gentle energy of this aspect ensure that events will happen imperceptibly but potently. It doesn’t have to be loud to be effective.

Excellent for confirming that you’re on the right track as you deepen a source of intimacy, self-care or inner exploration.

Jupiter/Ceres indicates expansive nurturing and/or an expansive agreement. Looking at the Ceres myth, this crop goddess’ daughter was taken by the king of the underworld (Pluto) and in retaliation she allowed all the crops to wither and the people to starve. Jupiter stepped in and encouraged her to make a deal with Pluto-her daughter was allowed to be with her, above ground, for part of the year and the crops would grow during this time.

Not everything she wanted, but a crucial part (rebirth) of her cycle and certainly better than nothing. Consider how a real- world version of this deal might be functioning in your life. You probably won’t get everything you want, but a conjunction with Jupiter in the sign he rules is the best possible scenario-the growth of something new, something to look forward to, something that will continue to expand.

We must also consider how the Venus/Pluto aspect factors into this: even with the gentle sextile, there’s an all-or nothing vibe that will have to be toned down due to circumstances (Pluto didn’t get everything he wanted either). Nonetheless, today’s overall vibe is abundance.

In mundane matters, this aspect can indicate increased learning/wisdom concerning mothering, food issues or nurturing. Consider where you might need to make concessions in these matters to encourage new growth.

How the next recession will happen: An astrological view
