Astrology Of Love and Money and Satisfaction

Venus rules love and money. Venus in your chart show how you feel about these things, as well your experiences in these realms. I made some videos on the concept of what I call “currency” when it comes to love. … Read More…

March 14th, 2017: Limited Healing And A Venus Rx Crisis

José Ferraz de Almeida Júnior

José Ferraz de Almeida Júnior

  • Sun conjunct Pallas and Chiron in Pisces: 24 degrees
  • Pallas conjunct Chiron in Pisces: 24 degrees
  • Venus Rx in Aries square Juno in Capricorn: 10 degrees

Pallas and Chiron unite creative wisdom with wounds. Here is a prime opportunity to apply a solution (not just a band aid) to an area of difficulty. This won’t involve pure logic – intuition will be crucial. The Sun will bring this situation to life, and activate the sore spot. Watch for a pattern – how does the wound connect to other areas of your life?

Having said this, know that the Sun is applying to a square with Saturn in Sagittarius (at 27 degrees) exact on March 17th. There will be restrictions, and the totality of healing may be limited. Meaning, this is not a magic wand – scars and aches will remain. Or, the necessary solution will be painful. But limits will force you to concentrate on what you can heal. What you must heal. Saturn=the work you have to do. Don’t discount the effectiveness of Pallas/Chiron; if you’re backed into a corner, you’ll have wisdom at your disposal.

Venus Rx/Juno raise questions about freedom and values in committed partnerships. The rules of the contract between you and another will be challenged. One partner may feel repressed. The key issue will be how a newly emerging version of self creates tension within a relationship: change is inevitable.

Venus in Aries: Alexander McQueen

The late Alexander McQueen said that he wanted people to feel afraid of the women who wore his clothes. His shows were legendary: shocking, emotional, Gothic, visceral — absolutely exquisite. In 1995’s The Birds — inspired by Hithcock’s movie — models stumbled down the catwalk, dresses torn and tire-marked as if they’d been run over. In 1999’s No. 13, the finale is a model being spray-painted by robots. The violence and the vulnerability (Pluto opposite Moon, Venus in Aries) were more or less explicit in every show. “People find my things sometimes aggressive. But I don’t see it as aggressive. I see it […]

Dancing for Myself | Venus RX, Mars enters Taurus, Virgo Full Moon

As we move through the recent dust storm from the solar eclipse, an opportunity exists this week… to quietly observe the tattered remains of our surroundings. As old growth is rejuvenated, freshly planted seeds also begin to sprout; creating a fresh perspective for new starts with the complimentary aspects between Sun (ego), Mercury (thoughts, communications) and Pluto (transformation). Venus Retrograde. As we […]

Women Who Hate Women

There are a certain number of women…say, twenty percent, who hate other women.  They just hate you. There’s nothing you can possibly do to have them like you because they hate you and it’s not because of you, it’s because … Read More…

Venus Retrograde

Venus will soon be retrograde. Of course, this doesn’t mean that the planet is moving backwards, just that it appears to be doing so from our perspective. My Aries hairdresser asked me about it the other day: ‘My stars in the magazine…

Venus in Aries: Anish Kapoor

Continuing the series on artists with Venus in Aries. The picture tells the story really. Anish Kapoor has Venus at 0° Aries — the Ur degree, the alpha … the very beginning of the whole Zodiac. And well, is here is a great big Mons Venus in Aries own colour. Kapoor loves red. It’s nice that he has North Node in Capricorn — a sign which often seems to feature in sculptor’s charts. One suspects his relationship with India must be pretty complex (but a source of inspiration) with Uranus on the South Node. It’s interesting that he manages to be extremely […]

Venus in Aries: Francisco de Goya

Venus, the planet of love and art, harmony and sweetness, spends a long time in Aries, a sign that represents some quite contrary energies, in 2017. So we have an opportunity to look and think about how Venus behaves here. I’ve been looking at the charts of artists, fashion designers and film makers with Venus in Aries and seeing if this shows in their work. Francisco de Goya, the Spanish painter, whose life spanned the end of the 18th and beginning of the 19th centuries, got into a spot of bother in 1808, even though he was a successful court painter. It was […]

Vivienne Westwood: Venus in Aries

Vivienne Westwood started her career running a shop called Sex at the grubby end of the King’s Road — first stop on London’s punk trail in the 1970s. Today, she is a doyenne of fashion world — doing the whole cat-walk-show thing and yet still a social revolutionary. With her North Node and Midheaven in Libra, the sign of couture, her chosen profession comes as no surprise — and with fiery Sagittarius Rising plus theatrical Moon in Leo square Uranus, nor does her propensity for making outrageous remarks and shocking fashion statements. The inconjunct between Moon and Mercury in Pisces might […]
