New Moon eclipse coming up on July 2nd. It’s at 10 deg Cancer, making a wide conjunction with the Cancer North Node (path forward/the future). This means that new beginnings will be powerfully aligned with your future, and will urge you to move towards something emotional and authentic – something that resonates with your needs (your gut). Cancer is the sign of mother, child and family, so these issues will be paramount. It could be you as mother or child, in any relationship.
Mars enters Leo on July 1st and Venus enters Cancer on July 3rd. So this new beginning will be flanked by actions (Mars) that are proud, creative, showy and stubborn. Money/relationships/values (Venus) will be coloured by the eclipse themes – what you need and want, what feels right, what’s aligned with family. Overall, this suggests positive vibes for this eclipse, especially Venus – this new beginning should feature what you want.
Leo and Cancer are both associated with the child- Cancer is the child who needs to be protected and Leo is the child who needs space to display and play. These combined energies suggest the start of something that encourages you to just do what feels right and essential for you. If others don’t approve, that’s too bad. This is your thing, your direction. Your path of self-expression and safety and happiness.
But.
Let’s not the forget the Capricorn South Node (the past) and Saturn Rx’s conjunction to the South Node on July 4th. While you’re activating your future, you’ll also have to deal with your past. Saturn/South Node is the tradition, responsibility or authority issue that you continue to deal with (Saturn also passed over the SN on April 30th). So it won’t all be smile and chuckles – there’s an ending or old rule that you must attend to. The future is built on the past.
The New Moon in Cancer is a powerful birth image – whether this heralds a literal, physical birth or the metaphorical birth of a new you/ project/relationship, etc. Are you learning how to play and celebrate yourself? Are you welcoming someone into the world?
Congratulations.
