Growing from the Inside Out | Starcana Cosmic Dirt

Welcome to a new week! During the past five months of a restructuring Saturn retrograde, we may have experienced some  detours or tough setbacks in our pursuit of individual goals and personal growth. It was a slow and uncomfortable time of pause, but we were supplied with plenty of time to re-learn, re-work, re-blueprint, renegotiate […]

September 11th, 2019: Duty and Disruption

  • Waxing Inconjunct between the Aquarius Moon and Virgo Sun (18 deg)

  • Mars in Virgo trine the Capricorn South Node (15 deg)

The Waxing Inconjunct injects a disruptive realization into your carefully detailed plan. If you’ve been putting the finishing touches on something, you’ll get a last-minute reminder of an unexpected wrinkle. As frustrating as this is, the unexpected can open your eyes to an innovative improvement. This can force you to step back from where you’ve felt inadequate and realize that it’s never going to be perfect, so you might as well go for it. Mundane routines can also be approached in a new way if you view them from an odd angle.

Mars trine the South Node suggests that responsibilities from the past will respond well to dutiful actions and your timing/efforts should be bang on. The again, it can be easy to slide back into the old role of servitude, so ensure that your energy is being used in a way that empowers you.

Aquarius Full Moon: What If?

I’m so great at anticipating, I told the nurse who was about to jab me with a needle, that if there were an award for the skill of anticipation, I’d have it. In fact, I’d worked myself up into such a state of feverish anticipation over the prospect of seeing my own blood and the […]

August 15th Full Moon in Aquarius

The August 15th Full Moon (22 deg Aquarius) opposes a Sun/Venus conjunction in Leo. A Full Moon is peak illumination, so this should be a bright light on what you want or love. It will be public, showy, romantic and a bit surprising due to Aquarius’ energy of disruption.

Note the contrast between Aquarius (objective) and Leo (subjective) with the Moon/Venus opposition: heightened wants and needs in opposition create tension that adds urgency. This won’t be a smooth influence – there will be some shocks (even if they’re sweet) and certainly some fireworks.

This one feels like getting what you want in unexpected ways, or having your values/relationship upended in a very obvious way. Full Moons are culminations, so this will be an ending or result- for the most part, it should deliver something very nice but if there is an abrupt ending, know that there will be a sense of freedom afterwards.

This Moon squares Vesta (focus, devotion) in Venus-ruled Taurus, so there will also be a bit of tension around your focus on security/habits/resources versus the dramatic results. What you want or receive will conflict with what you’re trying to preserve. This can either be a possessive influence (you obsessively focus on what you own) or a cautious influence (dramatic developments jar your fixation on what feels safe). Aquarius’ freedom will challenge Taurus’ fixed refusal to budge, so it will be interesting to see how you work with the Moon’s dramatic results. Know that things must change and if you want to get best out of this one, you may have to loosen your grip.
