The details of an agreement are spoken or written. Any type of partnership can be clarified as flaws or solutions are described. This is about the fine print – don’t ignore what’s written at the bottom of the page or what your partner is adding. It’s also an opportunity for you to get precise about what you’re agreeing to, because the little things matter.

This aspect suggests a partnership that’s based on communication, analysis and the drive for improvement. It’s not enough to simply be, there’s a desire to make each other better or figure things out together. Remembering that Virgo is about integration, consider if someone close to you has the missing piece of the puzzle.

Mercury’s Transit of Virgo

Mercury enters Virgo on August 29th at 3:47 AM EDT. Mercury rules this sign and its power as a detailed, truthful communicator will be at full strength.

This is the transit for exact information: there’s no wiggle room about what’s correct. As an Earth sign, Virgo delivers practical, physical manifestations of Mercury’s info. Flaws are identified and sensible improvements are verbalized: there is no ambiguity. Because of this sign’s precise nature and perfectionist drive, improvements often come across as critiques, especially when they’re unsolicited. But the critiques are usually right.

Although this transit is brief, you can maximize its energy if you’re involved in any sort of detailed research or problem-solving. If you’re not sure if a situation is beneficial, try writing down the undisputed facts. Don’t worry about what you suspect or hope for – just concentrate on what you know. You’ll quickly see the truth.

The first aspect Mercury makes is a sextile to Pallas in Scorpio – psychological or secret strategies are supported by exact info. Great for research or taking a deep dive into uncomfortable subject matter. You’ve got logic on your side if things become too intense.

Sometimes, Mercury in Virgo’s information becomes labyrinthian as you get lost in the granular details and and forget about the overall picture. Details are crucial but remember that nothing works in isolation. Ultimately, Virgo is about integration – take what you’ve analyzed and see how it fits in with the rest.

Here are the aspects Mercury in Virgo will make:

  • Aug 29th: sextile Pallas in Scorpio (1 deg)

  • Aug 30th: conjunct Juno (3 deg)

  • Aug 31st: inconjunct Chiron Rx in Aries (4 deg)

  • Sep 1st: trine Uranus Rx in Taurus (6 deg)

  • Sep 1st: square Ceres in Sagittarius (6 deg)

  • Sep 3rd: conjunct Mars and the Sun (10 deg)

  • Sep 5th: opposite Black Moon Lilith in Pisces (13 deg)

  • Sep 5th: trine Saturn Rx in Capricorn (14 deg)

  • Sep 6th: square Jupiter in Sagittarius (15 deg)

  • Sep 6th: trine the Capricorn South Node (15 deg)

  • Sep 7th: opposite Neptune Rx in Pisces (17 deg)

  • Sep 8th: trine Pluto Rx in Capricorn (20 deg)

  • Sep 12th: trine Vesta in Taurus (27 deg)

  • Sep 13th: conjunct Venus (28 deg)

  • Sep 14th: Libra ingress

August 29th, 2019: Sun Trine Uranus

  • Virgo Sun trine Uranus Rx in Taurus (6 deg)

Continuing the vibe of the Mars/Uranus trine, Sun/Uranus illuminates the integration of precision and change. New slivers of insight emerge and you discover fresh angles to practical solutions. There’s a drive for independence, but it comes out in a careful way. This is gradual liberation from old habits, one detail at a time.

Consider if there’s a new purpose taking shape – it won’t be dramatic, but you may notice a shift in how you approach certain problems or how your daily routines support you. For those interested in personal upgrades, this aspect urges you to take pride (Sun) in the small changes – the little thingsl add up.

New Moon in Virgo: Get Specific

The August 30th Virgo New Moon (6 deg) conjoins Mars (actions), Venus (attraction) plus Mercury (communication) and Juno (partnership agreements). So we have a precise (Virgo) new beginning that involves actions uniting with attraction -getting what you want. But also, precise communication/solutions (Mercury) about a partnership.

And the whole thing trines Uranus Rx in Taurus, giving us an easily manageable shot of change. You can initiate an agreement that’s different from anything you’ve done before, but it’s not so crazy that you’ll be uncomfortable. One or two small things (Virgo) will be different.

I like this New Moon – it combines Mars and Venus which is always nice. You act and attract what you want (assuming you act according to the Virgo agenda – precise, careful, gradual, practical). Venus and Juno really encourage all partnership issues (romantic and business). And Mercury (ruler of Virgo) adds powerful words or facts – think it, say it and act on what you say. You don’t have to do anything crazy, just take one small step in a different direction.

The only fly in the ointment is this New Moon’s inconjunct to Chiron Rx in Aries -there will be some insecurities about what you can’t fix. It won’t be perfect, but that’s ok. Virgo wants it to be perfect, but when Chiron in Aries is involved you have to accept that there’s going to be some blood or uncomfortable moments of assertiveness.

But overall, I see this New Moon as a prime opportunity to act on the specifics of what you want in the context of an agreement or commitment. Don’t be afraid to dig into the details – if you want the colour to be a couple of shades lighter, just say it. This is the time to get picky and have all your wants on paper. The difference of a half degree/inch/shade/is crucial.: is it crazy to get that specific? When Uranus trines Virgo, the answer is “Nope.” Uranus gives you latitude of what would normally be considered eccentric or odd. Combined with a mega Virgo New Moon, you have the space to be as crazy precise and exacting and anxious as you want.

But it won’t always be like this. Take advantage of this vibe now

August 28th, 2019: Progress And What Can’t Be Fixed

  • Virgo Sun inconjunct Chiron Rx in Aries (4 deg)

  • Virgo Sun square Ceres in Sagittarius (4 deg)

  • Mars in Virgo trine Uranus Rx in Taurus (6 deg)

Sun

The inconjunct to Chiron illuminates what hurts and what cannot be fixed. Virgo Sun’s purpose is to correct, but this influence will expose the wound that must be confronted rather than neatly tidied up. The focus on what sticks out like a sore thumb (Chiron in Aries) can emphasize distorted Virgo issues of not being good enough/smart enough.

But the messy, aggressive issue can increase awareness that this is a work in progress which requires empathy – helping others by acknowledging their battle rather than enforcing militant solutions. The Sun’s square to Ceres also hints at a crisis of nurturing – trying so hard to care and protect that good intentions become smothering. Freedom or ideals can trigger anxiety, with a resulting focus on “shoulds” and details that stifle growth.

Mars

Mars/Uranus is a nice antidote to the above. Precise, studious actions are injected with enough innovation that they enable change. Moving forward step-by-step can gradually reveal new details. Excellent for working on something that requires careful progress. This aspect also helps to counteract the Virgo paralysis that occurs with the loop of endless corrections: Uranus provides a nudge that keeps you moving.

If you get caught up in anxiety or fears of failure, slow down and initiate one small change at a time.

August 26th, 2019: Targeted Improvements

  • Pallas enters Scorpio

Venus/Uranus integrates change (Uranus) with financial/relationship/self-esteem issues in a gradual way. The update can occur in a step-by-step manner: a little adjustment here and there is all that’s needed to improve (Virgo) those Venus issues and approach what you want/love in new (Uranus) way.

Taurus is ruled by Venus, so there’s extra resonance in this aspect. Uranus in Taurus might be triggering some radical changes to habits or resources, but since it’s Rx at the moment the pace has probably slowed. Hooking up with Venus in Virgo, it’s the perfect time to zero in on the details – really get in there and change the way you relate to others, yourself or your money. Pinpoint the exact thing that’s not quite right.

Pallas into Scorpio is intensive strategies. This transit is about digging into the uncomfortable stuff/secrets and gaining profound insight about what most people don’t want to touch. Excellent for research or planning that involves psychological issues. This is the covert “battle strategy” that involves manipulation or accessing deeper resources in order to win.

Since Pallas involves pattern recognition, this can also be about seeing the deeper connections that have previously been obscured. Effective solutions involve going beyond the point where most people are comfortable, but that’s where the raw truth lies.

Consider how this Scorpio ingress can assist you with Venus/Uranus improvements.

Pallas will exit Scorpio for Sagittarius on Nov 8th.

  • Venus and Mars in Virgo inconjunct Chiron Rx in Aries (5 deg)

The Venus/Mars conjunction has another layer as it makes an awkward aspect to Chiron. A wound or sensitivity will be triggered by acting on what you want. This is more of a side thing than the main story, but it will factor in. Pay attention to the slim but annoying thread of doubt or dissatisfaction, even if you get exactly what you desire.

Virgo is never entirely satisfied – the awareness of what needs to be improved means that even when things are “perfect” there’s always something that could be better. Consider if that’s the case here – you might be able to make adjustments, but don’t allow what you’ve achieved to be undermined by what’s not quite right. Recognize the line between improvement and attempting to fix what can’t be repaired (sometimes it just hurts).

August 24th, 2019: Venus Conjunct Mars in Virgo

  • Venus in Virgo conjunct Mars (4 deg)

  • Venus in Virgo square Ceres in Sagittarius (4 deg)

Venus/Mars is the perfect union of attraction and action. Carefully measured efforts, attention to detail and the motivation to improve can bring exactly (Virgo) what you’re working for. “Working” is the key word – Virgo never takes it easy. Too, this can be about showing (Mars) your love (Venus) by helping/serving/organizing.

But the square to Ceres suggests a conflict between the above and the expansive nurturing of something big or idealistic. The drive for freedom or wisdom will be challenged by the focus on specifics. Efforts to make it better or express love/affection may be fussy or overzealous when compared to more liberated examples of growth.

Consider if your efforts are attracting what you want and how this stacks up against a nurturing ideal.
