July 25th, 2019: Mars in Leo Trine Jupiter

  • Mars in Leo trine Jupiter Rx in Sagittarius (14 deg)

Confident actions are enhanced by faith in the future. This is adventurous, optimistic energy that encourages you to reach further while believing that it will work out. Jupiter is Rx, but this doesn’t lessen the impact, it simply means that actions and optimism are concentrated in one area. Or, you have a second shot at an opportunity and it’s time to act on it. Good for showing others what you can do or tackling something a bit risky that requires courage.

Efforts can be “lucky” meaning timing and motivation come together in the best possible way. But taking action is key – if you do nothing, nothing will happen.

One note of caution – Mars is applying to Saturn Rx with an inconjunct (I’ll post on this tomorrow) so you may run into some awkward limits. Be prepared for the occasional stumble and don’t get so carried away that you ignore the rules.

The Last Quarter Square can see you questioning what’s showy/obvious as more solid (and perhaps boring things) nudge your awareness. What you can rely on, or what you already have, is worth taking note of – the contrast between this and what’s shouting for attention can reveal important questions about your financial security or values. Back to basics is important.

Mercury Rx conjunct Venus (which rules Taurus) hi-lights the question of values, money or self-esteem. Taking a second look at what you want and need, or revisiting a message/messenger from the past can uncover beneficial information. This aspect can deliver good news, but in the context of the Third Quarter Square, it will also involve deeper questions about what you want/love.   • Saturn Rx in Capricorn trine Vesta in Taurus (16 deg)

Ceres in Sag is the optimistic nurturing of something new – an idealistic drive for freedom that is encouraged. Harmonizing with the Sun suggests purpose and pride in this goal. Putting your faith in the growth of adventure, learning or exploration. Having the freedom to express yourself (or encouraging someone to express themselves). Ceres is primarily associated with mother’s nurturing, food and the cycle of life/loss, but this aspect would seem to indicate the growth portion of the cycle.

Saturn/Vesta is grounded focus on what’s real. Money, resources, values and self-esteem can be confirmed and quietly built through work and maturity. Saturn and Vesta indicate focus, and when they combine there is an ultimate fixation on one area. This is about taking your security seriously.

We have two different but complimentary versions of growth. Ceres in Sag is about possibilities while Vesta in Taurus is what you have to work with. Both can increase with confidence (Sun in Leo) and discipline (Saturn).

Leo Season: You Have The Power

The Sun enters Leo on July 22nd at 10:50 PM EDT. This is the season of pride, joy, power and courage – the courage to fully express who you are and take pride in that. Leo’s power comes from the fire of conviction that you are the best/the leader/the centre. Whether or not you feel this about yourself, the vibe of Leo season is a good time to take stock of what you’re proud of, what empowers you and what brings you joy.

Leo is famously selfish and generous. And here we have the essence of distorted and healthy Leo. The distortion arises when ego is threatened and there are childish demands for attention. But the highest expression of this sign is unforced generosity, megawatt charm and romance – you just know you’re exceptional so others bask in your glow. And this in turn attracts more of the adoring audience because there are no rages or self-pitying dramas to repel people. Yes, focusing on how no one appreciates you is selfish – you’re turned inwards, to the exclusion of all else.

This is not meant to invalidate your crises or traumas. We all go through periods where we need to lick our wounds and shut out the world: this is essential for healing. July 18th, 2019: Venus Trine Neptune, Mercury Rx Trine Ceres

  • Venus in Cancer trine Neptune Rx in Pisces (18 deg)

  • Mercury Rx in Leo trine Ceres in Sagittarius (0 deg)

The trine from Neptune takes the edge off the Venus/Saturn opposition. After the restrictions comes a gentle release and increase in acceptance, grace or relief. Neptune expands where Saturn restricted and opens up possibilities that exist to the side of Saturn’s rules. If the Saturn opposition brought a commitment or official result, Neptune can enhance the good stuff.

Mercury makes the second of three trines to Ceres, asking you to have faith in what you’re hearing or saying. The first trine occurred on June 29th when Ceres was Rx, and now that Mercury is Rx (and Ceres is direct) you may be asking again or reconsidering what you’ve learned, involving an area of nurturing and exploration. Keep honing your message, because it can grow into something bigger.
