Mercury Rx in Taurus trine the Virgo North Node: 1 degre…
We’re greeted with an impressive Sun/Saturn trine on April 17. These vibrations can be quite useful in helping us to deal with superiors, as well as in taking on some of the tougher stuff – with much greater ease. For those who come face to face with an unpleasant experience instead, you’re also blessed. This is a […]
I’ve prattled on a lot in the past about Bali and why I love it – and the people. Possibly, though, the thing I love the most are the offerings. The process of constructing and offering the tributes is not…
As Mercury slows and shifts gears in Taurus, the usual Rx themes apply: reviews, corrections, delays and people changing their minds. This will happen in the context of security and fixed plans (Taurus).
The sure thing may not be so sure. The idea you’re banking on will be up for review. You’ll be tempted to stubbornly cling to the initial choice or promise, but you’re better off considering the alternatives. Even if those alternatives include a delay.
It may help if you focus on the value of what’s happening. What is the initial plan/promise worth? Mercury Rx suggests there may be more value beneath the surface, revealed in the retrograde process. Or, you may discover the initial idea is worthless.
A reminder that we now have four Rx planets (Venus, Jupiter, Saturn and Mercury). Venus will station direct on April 15th, indicating a small shift in one area. From April 9th to April 15th, try not to project ahead – focus on the present, or attend to issues from the past that have reentered your life.
Mercury, as we know, does this a few times a year. For dates and degrees, check out this page. Dealing with it requires common sense, flexibility, clarity and patience. I often tell people to act as if they don’t have a…
Saturn retrograde. We’re temporarily stepping away from what has normally held us up; in order to get a better evaluation of the time and energy it has required of us. As we begin to shift back a bit, we’ll be able to get a much broader view of all that’s been built – which we’ve […]
Saturday, April 1, 2017 Mercury in Taurus Moon in Gemini Miss T has most unkindly, and not entirely unfairly, compared my singing to cat wails, or Kali (Adventure Spaniel) howling. As I said – unkind. I happen to think that…
Mercury enters Taurus on March 31st. Information is grounded in the real world and concrete proof is the theme. Ideas must translate into something you can see and touch.
Taurus is concerned with self-sufficiency, values and resources. Straightforward concepts work best, because this sign is about the basics. What are the absolute essentials? How much money do you need to survive? Elaborate plans and good intentions won’t help. Mercury in Taurus manifests with simple, practical steps that bring results.
You may notice that the flow of information slows, due to Taurus’ Fixed nature. Ideas will become entrenched, or in some cases, shut down. Compromise and options will not be supported. This is a yes/no transit, but the answers won’t come quickly. Patience is necessary, as well as your certainty about where you stand and what you must have. If you don’t know these things, this transit can help you figure it out.
When Mercury stations Rx on April 9th, things will slow down even more. This is a ponderous pace for fast-moving Mercury: ideas, responses and results may grind to a complete stop. The reason (as with any Mercury Rx) will be to correct or review. Go back because you missed something. Have that discussion one more time. In Taurus, you’ll be drilling down into the absolute value of something. How much is ____ worth? Is ____ the real deal? You won’t be able to rush things, so you might as well use the pause to throughly turn the facts over in your mind.
Mercury Rx will revisit Aries on April 20th, which will be back-to-the-drawing-board time. Before you can extract something real from the information that’s in front of you, you’ll have to take another look at the initial spark. Mercury Rx will conjoin the Taurus Sun a few hours before it backs into Aries, so this should be a moment of clarity about what you need to revise. Once Mercury direct reenters Taurus, you can be certain that any surviving concepts will be keepers.
Here are the aspects Mercury in Taurus, and Mercury Rx, will make.
