Astrology of Now: In the Footprints of Saturn

We woke up to snow on Sunday. Swirling, twirling flakes, hurtling fast, then fluttering delicately past the bedroom window. The garden had vanished by 6am and by mid-day a soft, heavy blanket of white had covered everything. With snow comes silence. It’s easy in the first snowfall to imagine yourself in a different time — maybe a horse-drawn sleigh will trot down my suburban street. And then time slows too. Instead of cars, people and their dogs trudge and stumble down the street. We went out for a while and, coming home, walked past the end of our road, unrecognisable […]

Interpreting Mercury in Pisces

Mercury in Pisces is a switch board. They are receivers.  They will appear to be having that conversation with you (compare to Mercury in Scorpio) but really they are just feeding you whatever psychic stream they are tuned to at … Read More…

December 10th, 2017: Keep Swimming

  • Mercury in Sagittarius square Chiron in Pisces: 24 deg
  • Mercury in Sagittarius trine Uranus Rx in Aries: 24 deg
  • Venus in Sagittarius square Neptune in Pisces: 11 deg

From last week’s horoscopes:

” …Mercury Rx in Sagittarius repeats its square to Chiron/trine to Uranus Rx, from November 24th and 25th. This will be the same painful conversation/information, but now you can make headway as you talk it out or explore solutions. A square between Venus in Sagittarius and Neptune in Pisces on the same day can make it tempting to ignore your problems, and there’s a danger of wanting something that doesn’t exist. Or, wanting more than is realistically possible. Venus/Neptune can be dreamy in small doses, but seriously undermining if you chug the entire bottle.”

Some additional thoughts – with the Venus/Neptune confusion and Mercury/Chiron sensitivities, today will not be a neat and tidy day. You could read too much into a situation and discover a painful truth (again). You could question the nature of a belief, or your belief in someone. It’s all open-ended at the moment.

What can you believe in?

Venus/Neptune can be beautiful and (when used judiciously) that bubble of hope can keep you afloat. So don’t give up. Don’t deny what hurts, but don’t let it drown you. And take note of that Mercury/Uranus trine  – the oddest things can give you just enough inspiration to keep swimming. We are in the midst of Mercury Rx, so the story has not been completed.
