September 15th to 17th, 2016: Multi-Chiron

Mars in Sagittarius squares Chiron Rx on September 15th, at 22 degrees Pisces, while the Virgo Sun opposes Chiron. In a lead -up to tomorrow’s eclipse, restless actions or loss of temper can expose a sensitive spot. At the same time, the focus on flaws will be triggered. How can you make it better? You may not be able to. Some things cannot be perfectly healed. When Chiron’s involved, you’re going for awareness, acceptance and release.

The Sun will also make a hard inconjunct to Uranus Rx (23 degrees Aries) – watch for increased anxiety due to an unexpected change in direction. You may have to adjust your focus or fix.

Mars is building to an easy trine with Uranus Rx, exact on September 17th. This is when you exhale. After the initial stumble, you find your groove. This trine encourages initiative and freedom that won’t hurt anyone. However, September 17th also offers an inconjunct between Venus in Libra and Chiron Rx, so it won’t all be smooth sailing. Brief spurts of relationship/social insecurity can unbalance you. Do they like you? Is the other person happy?Pay attention to social cues, but don’t let this throw you off track .

Different Facets of Chiron

Chiron Rx in Pisces has been hit by frequently with some concentrated hard aspects, since August 1st. Transiting planets in Leo triggered inconjuncts, confronting you with appreciation versus sacrifice. The Virgo stellium opposing Chiron is jabbing the flaw or weakness. Venus in Libra (and in October, the Sun and Mercury) confronts you with personal versus transpersonal. And Mars in Sag tests your faith as you take action.

When activating a planet, point or angle in your chart, transiting Chiron reveals a key area of guilt, weakness or sensitivity. You can choose to confront and come to terms with that wound. Heal it (although a scar will remain) by feeling it. The other transits that have been activating Chiron will give you the tools. Different facets of the wound will be revealed – a multi-dimensional healing opportunity. Soft aspects (sextiles and trines) are nice opportunities to sooth what hurts, but the hard aspects grab your attention. They hurt, but with Chiron it has to hurt before you can heal.

If you have anything from 22 to 24 degrees of the Mutable signs, Chiron Rx has been triggering you.

September 7th, 2016: Sun in Virgo Trine Pluto, Venus and Saturn/Neptune

The Virgo Sun trines Pluto Rx, at 15 degrees Capricorn. Power is easily integrated with the Virgo habits of work and correction. Something will manifest because you’ve done it right, and it won’t be big or showy. Pluto sharpens Virgo’s drill, boring through the useless information until the heart of the issue is penetrated. Here is the targeted fix, implemented naturally as the pieces fall into place.

Venus in Libra pings the Saturn/Neptune square. She makes an easy sextile to Saturn in Sagittarius, and a tense inconjunct to Neptune Rx in Pisces, at 10 degrees. Saturn supports Venus’ polite/traditional social expectations. But Neptune whispers that perhaps you’ve misunderstood. Or, maybe there’s something more? Neptune is tricky, but there actually may be more to the situation than meets the eye. Don’t get caught up in what-ifs, but keep your eyes open.

September Horoscopes: Practical Magic

A piece of wood, some catgut, ebony: a violin. Grapes transformed into wine. Paint transformed into image. Practical magic. This month opens with a wondrous eclipse in the sign of skill and craftsmanship, Virgo, which opens up the powerful generational aspect between Saturn and Neptune, rules and imagination. These two distinct energies don’t often work together — but when they do you get something really special. You get craftsmanship and fairy dust, you get art, or wine. The second eclipse is in Pisces, Neptune’s own sign, the sign of collective emotion, mass hysteria — and mystery. Neptune in Pisces won’t […]

Venus enters Libra. While it can seem that all is fine and moving forward, we may not realize that we’re probably spiraling into a whole different direction; possibly by falling off the wagon. And with Venus (values, love, money) entering thoughtful Libra on Monday August 29; peace and balance could gain some new priority. Perhaps consequences from karmic lessons […]

Virgo Season: Chaos Wrangler

Virgo season begins on August 22nd. The Sun joins Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and the North Node. This brings the energy to a peak (in the Virgo section of your chart) that will last until August 29th (when Venus enters Libra).

Correct, improve, refine, worry, criticize, analyze. Spot the flaw. Make it better. This can be your ultimate upgrade, or your struggle in the intricate web of anxiety. When Virgo is strongly activated, it’s helpful to focus smart. Focus on what you can change, only change what matters, and tune out the useless details/worries that drain your energy.

Virgo is about discrimination and order. Wrestling with chaos, whittling it down to the essentials and presenting a clean, sharp, useful result. There will always be chaos, and trying to tackle it all guarantees failure (and a migraine). This is why Virgo is most effective with small adjustments and immediate issues. During this ultra-intense Virgo season, just take care of what you can. Focus on doing the most essential things really well, and don’t worry about the rest.

This season, the big deals hitting Virgo are:

This is a lot for a sign that’s compelled to wrestle order out of chaos. There will be slippage, there will be mistakes. You’ll miss something. You just can’t nail it all down with this mix of energies. But you can learn to let go of what’s beyond your control, and you can develop a quality that Virgo doesn’t always have: faith. Yes, this will be your test to not assume the worst. You’ll have to do the work, of course. There’s something that you need to upgrade: your health, your self-esteem, your relationship, your______. Something needs to be purified. But as I wrote earlier, the key will be focusing in the right area, and not getting distracted by the minutia of what’s beyond your control.

Here’s something hopeful: Mercury (Virgo’s ruler) will be making its first of two conjunctions to Jupiter (at 26 degrees). More (Jupiter) details (Virgo), but more in a good way. Your knowledge will expand. Mercury/Jupiter puts you on track to the make the best decision, or say the right thing. Intuition is blended with logic. It’s an encouraging way to begin this tumultuous Virgo season. It means you’ll have all the tools you need. This conjunction also ties in with the September 1st eclipse.

Here are the aspects the Sun in Virgo will make:

  • Aug 28th: trine Ceres, 3 deg Taurus
  • Sept 1st: New Moon eclipse, 9 deg
  • Sep 1st: sextile Juno, 10 deg Scorpio
  • Sep 1st: square to Saturn, 10 deg Sag
  • Sep 2nd: opposition to Neptune Rx, 10 deg Pisces
  • Sep 3rd: sextile Black Moon Lilith, 11 deg Scorpio
  • Sep 4th: conjoins North Node, 12 deg

  • Sep 9th: sextile Vesta, 17 deg Cancer
  • Sep 12th: conjoins Mercury Rx, 20 deg

  • Sep 15th: opposite Chiron Rx, 22 deg Pisces

  • Sep 22nd: Libra ingress
