The 1st Quarter Square triggers a crisis between relationships and boundaries. Libra Sun wants to be sociable and agreeable, but Capricorn says it’s time to say “No” or express your authority. The theme today is harmony challenged by uncomfortable truths. Don’t expect things to go smoothly, but there will be extreme valueI in the tension.

The Sun illuminates Chiron’s pain or vulnerability but you may experience it through another. The opposition is an aspect of projection and Libra strongly emphasizes protection. So this could involve projected wounds, or seeing your pain reflected in the eyes of another. Social or relationship purposes can be compromised by wounds that are not owned. Feeling like a victim (everyone is out to get you) is a possibility.

On the plus side, there is a chance to access empathy through another’s difficulties. Keep an eye out for unbalanced situations where a wound becomes the main purpose.   • Venus in Libra opposite Chiron Rx in Aries (4 deg)

A difficult day for relationship harmony.

Venus in Libra loves to be loved and to have everything polished, pretty and graceful. This can mean bending over backwards to be accommodating, but the opposition to Chiron indicates that there will be socially uncomfortable moments, no matter what.

Efforts to be charming or diplomatic may fail, or end up inadvertently triggering a sore spot. Perhaps you’re hurt because someone is taking advantage or treating you unfairly. This is the time to be aware of what desires (regarding love, attention and values) you’re projecting. People don’t know what you want unless you tell them. If they can’t or won’t meet you halfway (after you’ve been open) this tells you something about them.

Adding to this, we have Mercury making a painful inconjunct to Uranus in Venus-ruled Taurus. Polite conversation will be difficult due to hard-to-pinpoint anxiety about saying the right thing. There’s a need to speak the truth/break away from what’s proper, but there can be doubts about how to do this effectively. Words may swing between the complete avoidance of anything controversial (candy-coated statements) to blunt, artless blurbs.

Expect touchy, painful moments and inappropriate words. Do your best to navigate by making allowances for rough patches.
