Here is an opportunity to advance the May 4th New Moon beginnings. With a bit of effort, you can nurture a seed or solid beginning so it grows into something comforting, nourishing and emotionally satisfying. No matter what happened during the New Moon, it’s time to move forward using your needs as fuel. Sounds easy enough – what do you really need? But you have to act on this because no one will deliver it to you. Family, childhood or mother may be involved.

Venus

Venus/Pluto is the crisis of want versus power. The compulsive attraction or obsessive drive to get what you want NOW (no matter the cost) has more behind it. On the surface, it looks like pure Aries competition, passion or impulse. But it’s not pure- there are deeper motivations, an urge to maintain power and fear of losing that power.

This is the corner you turn as you confront the shadow behind the desire. You may be dealing with manipulation or you may be trying to “convince” someone to give you what you want/love. Pushing forward, especially when the other party is reluctant, is a red flag.

Jupiter’s trine to Venus can greatly amplify the Pluto-driven compulsion. While there may be a hot opportunity to earn/create/achieve, proceed very carefully – again, check those background motivations. On the other hand, Jupiter can help you get past the square to Pluto if you hook into the bigger perspective – elevate yourself above the fear of loss and look at the undiscovered country that lies ahead. Is there something new to learn or explore? Jupiter/Venus is hopeful and individual freedom is honoured.

  • Mars in Gemini opposite Jupiter Rx in Sagittarius (23 deg)

Actions (Mars) are at odds with expansion (Jupiter) but in this case it can lead to exaggerated efforts, big efforts or a massive leap of faith. Jupiter pumps up Mars’ actions in any aspect, but the opposition amplifies the speed and enthusiasm due to the tension (you’re trying to act on beliefs that are out of reach). Any combo of Mars/Jupiter can be “lucky” but it can also be careless. There’s a fine line.

A conclusion or result can hit quickly, and since Jupiter is retrograde this may be your second shot at something. This can be your breakthrough moment as you finally decide to do it. You could be pushing that choice (Gemini) forward, no matter what.

There is great potential for achievement, but there’s also a lack of satisfaction since Jupiter encourages Mars to pursue more/bigger. So you have to be careful that what you’re pushing doesn’t become so overwhelming that you lose control. What you hear or read is not the whole story – pay attention to hidden motivations.

This energy can manifest as almost violently aggressive words – know that the real insistence comes from a deeper drive to reveal a truth in a distorted fashion. You can get a handle on this by becoming aware of what no one (including you) wants to openly acknowledge.

April 15th, 2019: Venus Square Jupiter

  • Venus in Pisces square Jupiter Rx in Sagittarius (24 deg)

Relationships, finances and values are inflated with the Jupiter square. Venus in Pisces’ fluid boundaries are pushed to the point of exaggeration, so there will be great hopes for something you want or love. Venus in Pisces transcends reality and Jupiter is the great hope that elevates it even further.

This energy can have a euphoric feel – you may feel like giving it all away in a rush of unconditional love or throwing yourself into something because it looks magical. Too, you may have the restless urge for more as you crave something/someone that’s above your usual situation. The Waxing Trine integrates pride with courage, creativity with initiative. Momentum and confidence will carry you forward towards something promising, and this is boosted by the Sun and Moon’s trines to Jupiter. Jupiter adds expansion and optimism while creating a Grand Fire Trine – a harmonious circuit of energy that enables an easy flow.
