Fired Up Feelings | Aries New Moon, Mercury enters Taurus, Venus enters Pisces, April Tarotscope

Aries New Moon. Vibrations intensify and darken under the Aries New Moon on Monday March 27. While some can experience an increase in energy and activity during this powerful lunar shift, others can often find themselves overwhelmed between sluggishness and lethargy. Issues that can rise with the Aries Moon can range from headaches, sinuses, with […]

In the Key of Pisces: Adam Levine

Last year, we featured  a series of musicians born during the month of Pisces — one for each day, but there were just too many to fit in. Here is Adam Levine, another for our sweet-sounding Pisces male voice choir, that includes James Taylor, Chris Martin, Nat King Cole, George Harrison, Tom Chaplin and Kurt Cobain. Adam Levine’s smart, sexy band Maroon 5 have made a whole bunch of hits. This one shows off his voice well and that talented pattern connecting Venus (sugar) – Pluto (sex) – Neptune (music). And then there’s Tom Chaplin, Keane’s frontman and singer.

March 14th, 2017: Limited Healing And A Venus Rx Crisis

José Ferraz de Almeida Júnior

  • Sun conjunct Pallas and Chiron in Pisces: 24 degrees
  • Pallas conjunct Chiron in Pisces: 24 degrees
  • Venus Rx in Aries square Juno in Capricorn: 10 degrees

Pallas and Chiron unite creative wisdom with wounds. Here is a prime opportunity to apply a solution (not just a band aid) to an area of difficulty. This won’t involve pure logic – intuition will be crucial. The Sun will bring this situation to life, and activate the sore spot. Watch for a pattern – how does the wound connect to other areas of your life?

Having said this, know that the Sun is applying to a square with Saturn in Sagittarius (at 27 degrees) exact on March 17th. There will be restrictions, and the totality of healing may be limited. Meaning, this is not a magic wand – scars and aches will remain. Or, the necessary solution will be painful. But limits will force you to concentrate on what you can heal. What you must heal. Saturn=the work you have to do. Don’t discount the effectiveness of Pallas/Chiron; if you’re backed into a corner, you’ll have wisdom at your disposal.

Venus Rx/Juno raise questions about freedom and values in committed partnerships. The rules of the contract between you and another will be challenged. One partner may feel repressed. The key issue will be how a newly emerging version of self creates tension within a relationship: change is inevitable.

Fueled Vision | Mercury enters Aries

There’s a burst of energy that adds some spark and attitude into the next three weeks. Mercury (thoughts, communications, journeys) exits from the comforting seas of Pisces on Monday March 6, to dash through the hot sands of Aries. What has flooded our view with a foggy mist of confusion will dramatically shift. As sensitivities drain, […]

In the Key of Pisces: Tom Chaplin

Tom Chaplin, of the British band Keane, sings with all the tortured melancholy you’d expect from a fish-boy with Sun squaring Neptune, the planet of music. That Neptune is in Sagittarius, the sign of excess, so it also comes as no surprise that Chaplin has had his share of drug problems. One of his most beautiful compositions, Somewhere Only We Know, expresses all the nostalgic yearning that you’d expect from a Moon in Cancer — an emotional powerhouse, vulnerable and strong. His latest solo effort is, of course, called The Wave — and it’s an almost uncanny musical description of what it’s like to […]
