Mars In Scorpio – Read All About It!

Mars is high functioning in it’s home sign, Scorpio. People with Mars in Scorpio are stealthy and psychologically sophisticated.  You’re not likely to see them coming, unless by their design.  You wake up one day, screwed, blued, tattooed a…

November 26th, 2018: Sun/Jupiter and Mercury Square Mars

  • Sagittarius Sun conjunct Jupiter (3 deg)

  • Mercury Rx in Sagittarius square Mars in Pisces (6 deg)

An enthusiastic day with Sun/Jupiter energizing new possibilities, ideals and hope. This is the big promise or the reason to have faith. The “why not” moment. Adding to this, Mercury in Sag makes an energetic square to Mars, encouraging forceful communication and action-driven words.

However, note that Mercury is Rx, so this will not be the final word. And Mars in Pisces can be vague as actions slide off in unexpected directions. This aspect is best used to energize a review, question or second look at a previous issue. Sun/Jupiter will encourage you to reach further, but Mercury Rx/Mars can see you distracted by an old issue that turns into an argument or frustrating search.

Focus may be scattered, as new and old possibilities vie for your attention.

Remind yourself that the story is not complete, and you can’t force anything (especially your ideas of right and wrong).

November 19th, 2018: Mars in Pisces Square Jupiter

  • Mars in Pisces square Jupiter in Sagittarius

The Mars/Jupiter square can amplify existing tendencies towards addiction, overindulgence or escapism. It can also amplify creativity or motivation to help/heal. Whatever you feel pulled towards today, know that the current will be strong. And, you will not have total control over the end result.

A square means tension, and in this case, it’s tension between ideals/faith/the big picture (Jupiter) versus actions (Mars). The tension will motivate you to seek, pursue or escape.

This is why it’s important to be very aware of your impulses. What are you trying to accomplish? Mars in fluid Pisces is about openness and allowing, but Jupiter pushes for big results. It can be easy to lose track. But if you set your course in a healthy direction, you can achieve almost magical results.

Mars’ Transit of Pisces

   Howard Pyle

Howard Pyle

Mars enters Pisces today (November 15th) at 5:20 PM EST. After a long, retrograde induced sojourn of Aquarius, Mars is finally moving on.

You may feel this shift more significantly than most Mars transits, because Mars has been spending so much time in one area of your chart (the Aquarius section, along with the very end of Capricorn).

Mars in Pisces is indirect action. It’s drifting rather than pushing. Allowing rather than initiating. You cannot force anything in Pisces, so Mars can be a bit uncomfortable here. But it’s also a nice way to end the year – things will happen as they’re meant to, and all you have to do is be open to that. Do what you can, and let the rest take care of itself. There may be a release as the tension of the past few months dissolves. Sometimes the most you can “do” is let go.

Mars in Pisces (your actions) creates ripples, but you will have minimal control over what they’ll hit. The best you can do is ensure that your initial motivations and intentions are healthy. This also means taking care of yourself, because when Pisces is activated there is an increased risk for vulnerability. Mars in Pisces can drift down some questionable paths.

This is an excellent transit for creative work, meditation, relaxation and healing. Good for dreaming and drinking, so keep an eye on the indulgences this holiday season – Mars in Pisces can take you too far, especially with the upcoming square to Jupiter.

Here are the aspects Mars in Pisces will make:

  • Nov 19th: square Jupiter in Sagittarius (2 deg)

  • Nov 25th: trine Ceres in Scorpio (5 deg)

  • Nov 26th: square Mercury Rx in Sagittarius (6 deg)

  • Nov 27th: sextile Saturn in Capricorn (7 deg)

  • Dec 2nd: square Sun in Sagittarius (10 deg)

  • Dec 5th: inconjunct Pallas in Libra (12 deg)

  • Dec 7th: conjunct Neptune (13 deg)

  • Dec 17th: sextile Pluto in Capricorn (20 deg)

  • Dec 17th: sextile Juno Rx in Taurus (20 deg)

  • Dec 27th: trine the North Node in Cancer (26 deg)

  • Dec 29th: conjunct Chiron (28 deg)

  • Dec 31st: Aries ingress

November 15th, 2018: Take Action

  • Waxing Square between the Aquarius Moon and Scorpio Sun (23 deg)

  • Mars in Aquarius sextile Uranus Rx in Aries (29 deg)

The Waxing Square can disrupt control, survival or intimacy with an abrupt flash of something out of left field. A new development, break from the rules or external prompt can force you to bring something out into the open, or give up some control. Too, you may be compelled to detach yourself from a situation that’s been taking up all your energy. Is it time to step back or move forward from the fixation? The shock may be unpleasant but it’s a sign that a situation needs to be stirred up.

You need to take action.

Continuing the Uranus theme, Mars in the final degree of Aquarius makes a sextile to Uranus (ruler of Aquarius). Mars will enter Pisces later today, but before it does, the action planet gets a an encouraging nudge from Uranus – this energy favours stepping out of bounds, taking a mild risk or breaking with convention. Mars and Uranus are in mutual reception (in each other’s rulers) so the energy of sudden or rebellious actions is intensified.

However, the harmony of the sextile ensures that the delivery of this energy will be easy to handle (you won’t have to do anything too crazy) and this can help immensely with the Waxing Square (which is action-based crisis).

Now’s your moment to step forward, even if you don’t want to (especially if you don’t want to).

Making A Way for Acceptance | Astrology Horoscope

Hello there friends. It’s been an active November with Uranus (awakenings, change, evolution) retrograde shifting from steady Taurus back on November 6, to re-enter pioneering Aries for the rest of the year. Unexpected changes, breakdowns and possible breakthroughs are bound to occur in the areas where we thought we were strong, stable and comfortably settled. After a year […]

November 9th, 2018: Try Again

  • Venus Rx in Libra trine Mars in Aquarius (26 deg)

This is the second trine between Venus in Libra and Mars in Aquarius. The first (Aug 7th, 2018) occured at 1 deg when Mars was Rx. Now, Mars is direct and Venus is Rx.

The theme is similar for both trines – actions (Mars) harmonize with what you want (Venus) leading to a nice outcome. But the issue may have fluttered back and forth since August. First, you had to reconsider your actions/try again (Mars Rx). That was the key to getting a favourable result. Now, with Venus Rx, you’re reconsidering what you want or the dynamics of a relationship. Again – key to getting what you want.

Overall, this may be a somewhat frustrating issues with multiple tries and reviews. But the trine makes it easier (events should unfold naturally) and you may find that it’s worth it.

Actions work best if they are somewhat detached (Aquarius) – less focus on “must have” and more openness to whatever may happen. Keep it light. Balance (Libra) is important.

  • Waxing Trine between the Aquarius Moon and Libra Sun (26 deg)

  • Mercury in Scorpio trine Neptune Rx in Pisces (14 deg)

  • Mercury in Scorpio square Mars in Aquarius (14 deg)

Waxing Trine

The Waxing Trine indicates a natural flow between partnership and independence, one-on-one and the group. All the social angles are covered, making it easy to connect with others on various levels. The catch is that you have to keep it light – the Air signs call for detachment and intellectual connections. Overall, this trine has a lively vibe that that enables the progress of any type of relationship.

Mercury

Despite the flow of the trine, Mercury’s square to Mars does suggest that communication will be tense. The urge to dig deep for answers (and this can be rooted in the desire to control by knowing all the “secrets”) will clash with actions that demand freedom. There may be tension between wanting to step back versus wanting to know more. The result can be angry words and forceful demands.

The Neptune/Mercury trine can help. If you encounter pressure to reveal more than you’re comfortable with, or you’re the one applying the pressure, take a deep breath, exhale and let go. Accept that you can’t force the words or knowledge – some things aren’t meant to be known, and you don’t have to open up if you don’t want to. Neptune encourages release, forgiveness and its own brand of detachment via transcendence. What you need to know will come to you, as will the right words.

The common theme today is the trine – natural flow. There is no need to force anything, because what’s meant to unfold will do so without effort.

  • Moon in Aquarius square Mercury in Scorpio (12 deg)

  • Moon in Aquarius conjunct Mars (13 deg)

  • Moon in Aquarius trine Ceres in Libra (19 deg)

The Moon’s square to Mercury can trigger tense realizations- detached energy will illuminate what’s obscured. Communication can feel uncomfortable, as deep observations clash with the need to remain distant. When the Moon conjoins Mars, watch for a spark that lights a rebellious or unusual urge. The pull of Scorpio’s depths will be forcefully denied. Now is not the time to look for intimacy – the mood is restless and a bit crazy.

If you’re aware of what’s happening, this energy can be channeled in a healthy way via the Moon’s trine to Ceres. Mutual freedom can be nurtured in a relationship. This is about giving the other person room to breath – stepping back and keeping your touch light can actually bring you closer.

October 10th, 2018: Scorpio Challenged

  • Mercury in Scorpio opposite Uranus Rx in Taurus (1 deg)

  • Venus Rx in Scorpio square Mars in Aquarius (10 deg)

Mercury/Uranus

Uranus is the flash of light that illuminates Mercury in the darkness (Scorpio). There may be a sudden blast of truth, an abrupt goodbye (oppositions are endings or results) or an unexpected reveal of hidden information.

The opposition suggests an external source, and because of Scorpio’s depth, the actual result will reverberate on a profound level. It may be challenging to receive this information (or maybe you’re the one dishing out the extreme truths) because it won’t be easily received. Keep this in mind if you’re speaking/writing. If you’re on the receiving end, sit with what you’ve learned and consider it a rare chance to really see what’s going on down there.

Venus/Mars

Venus Rx/Mars can be motivating, pushy or sexy. Maybe all three. Venus Rx in Scorpio is intensely internal while Mars in Aquarius is detached actions. Mars wants but is pushing a bit too hard for Venus, even though under some circumstances this can indicate hot chemistry.

Venus Rx means that the crisis (square) of discordant actions will trigger even deeper awareness regarding money, values or relationships. But that also means that the Venus subject (a person or desired goal) will probably not be receptive to Mars. Expect delays and re-evaluations. Someone/something may withdraw even further.

Scorpio is getting hammered today by some harsh Uranus/Aquarius action. Scorpio does not like to have reveals forced on it (this sign like to do the revealing) but that’s exactly what this energy will do. So be prepared for more to come out at a much faster pace than you’re comfortable with.

Now it’s out there. What will you do?
