Ready for a Clean Break | Starcana Cosmic Dirt

Sun enters Aries, Spring Equinox, Virgo Full Moon. Welcome to brand new week my friend! A turn of the wheel is taking place as the powerful Sun (ego, identity) moves out of the sympathetic waters of Pisces, and into the active fires of Aries on the Spring Equinox, Wednesday afternoon March 20. During the next four […]

Uranus in Aries – a 2nd house retrospective

I mentioned in my wrap-up of the week last Sunday that I was blaming the restlessness and frustration that’s been in the air on Uranus or, more specifically, on the fact that Uranus was in the last throes of the transit through Aries and wouldn’t get another chance at shaking up that part of the […]

  • Moon in Aries sextile Venus in Aquarius (8 deg)

  • Moon in Aries sextile Juno in Gemini (10 deg)

  • Moon in Aries trine Ceres in Sagittarius (11 deg)

The Aries Moon receives all harmonious aspects today, enabling a smooth flow of fiery energy.

Moon/Venus is hot and flirtatious – anything new and cheeky is attractive and others will be receptive to first moves. Excellent for indulging in something a bit risky without worrying about anything permanent. Also excellent for boldly displaying what you want.

Moon/Juno encourages courageous choices in a relationship; partners can comfortably explore alternatives and not be tied to one option. Moon/Ceres adds the nurturing of independence and courage – be brave/be first or encourage someone else to step out.

Overall, this is a day to have fun, initiate or be receptive to someone’s actions. There’s no pressure and no commitment.

Dreaming of the Unthinkable | Starcana Cosmic Dirt

Good day my friend! If a tsunami of chaos spilled over from the transformative eclipse, you may find yourself struggling from the intense results as the lunar vibrations continue to trickle in. Mercury Station Retrograde. While fear and desperation may have driven us toward a direction that appeared to be safe… incoming bouts of confusion […]

February 18th, 2019: Today’s Reality (Chiron Enters Aries)

Pieter Brueghel the Elder

Pieter Brueghel the Elder

  • Venus conjunct Saturn in Capricorn (16 deg)

  • Chiron enters Aries (4:07 am EST)

  • Pallas stations Rx in Libra (29 deg)

Venus/Saturn

Continuing yesterday’s activation of the Saturn/Neptune sextile, Venus conjunct Saturn defines what you have and what you can’t have. Here is the reality of a commitment, restriction or responsibility involving relationships, finances, self-esteem or values. Saturn makes it real and (in combination with Neptune) can also define what you have to give up in order to get what you want. Or, perhaps what you have to give up, period.

Venus/Saturn is the dividing line – the new beginning that separates past from present. This is permanent and official. Make it so.

Chiron into Aries

Chiron returns to Aries for the long haul (it won’t be completely done with this sign until April 2027). For details and dates on this transit, check this post.

Chiron’s return will reactivate issues from its first Aries ingress (April 17th, 2018) but now you’ll be pressing forward with the battle. There’s no turning back. Are you ready to fight with vulnerability as your banner? It’s interesting that the Venus/Saturn conjunction happens on this same day because it really does emphasize that hard line between past and present.

But we also have the Sun’s Pisces ingress today, so there’s a reminder that compassion and forgiveness are important. Be gentle with yourself, even as you step into the fray.

Pallas Rx

Pallas reaches the final degree of Venus-ruled Libra, then she stations Rx. The social or relationship strategy that you thought was complete needs a review. You’ll have to rethink how you relate to others, and the connection to Venus/Saturn is important – there’s a clear reality or rule that means you have to reassess your approach.

Pallas will station direct on May 30th (10 deg Libra) and will exit Libra for Scorpio on August 26th.

Surrender to Serenity | Starcana Cosmic Dirt

Sun enters Pisces. Good day! During the next four weeks, we’ll be led onto a gentle path of forgiveness, acceptance and harmony as the powerful Sun (ego, spirit) moves from altruistic Aquarius on Monday February 18, into the magickal realm of healing Pisces. Reflective waters will illuminate our sparkle… but also reveal our darkest insecurities. […]
