An Ocean of Hope
New Moon blessings! In the midst of what has been decaying and falling away lately; if we dare to shift our footing onto something more solid, we can gain a whole new perspective into what we’ve been looking at. When gazing from a different angle, we should be able to see the beginning of a […]
Bursting Bubbles, Scorpio New Moon
There is a sense of fantasy and romance in the air this week, or could it be just an illusion? Life and love might seem so much sweeter with a delicious Venus/Jupiter conjunction on Monday November 13. With Venus (value, love, money), and Jupiter (abundance, expansion) both transiting succulent Scorpio right now, deep, dark temptations […]
When Words And Hearts Collide
Life shifts again, and some may have already experienced the persistent vibrations from the stubborn, but resourceful Taurus Full Moon along the finicky Venus/Uranus opposition on Saturday, November 4. Then time shifted again, as Daylight Saving Time ended – forcing clocks to be turned back one hour. So as we adjust to these recent changes, […]
Taurus Full Moon: Come to Your Senses
Mars is currently transiting my Third House (of neighbors, communications, transportation, mind), and as Mars transits goes it’s textbook aggravating. Seeking relief, I decide to go shopping but my stress-relieving trip proves more stressful. The mall is crowded with people wearing sour looks. I feel shamed, by the body language and tsk-tsk of both customers […]

Taurus Full Moon: How I Broke Up with Cheez-its
Just because a solution is simple, doesn’t mean it’s easy. At this Full Moon, though, the simple solution might just be a little bit easier.

Full Moon in Taurus: Smother

The November 3rd (10:22 PM PDT)/November 4th (1:22 AM EDT) Full Moon (11 degrees Taurus) squares Ceres in Leo, triggering a crisis around nurturing.
Hard aspects between the Moon and Ceres can indicate neediness or an acute awareness of what’s missing. Moon in Taurus is particularly focused on security, so there may be a powerful urge to look after yourself, or someone else (whether or not they want you to). But the tension between look-at-me Leo versus stick-to-the-basics Taurus suggests the drive to nurture may be distorted, due to lack of recognition and appreciation. This is the hug that demands acknowledgement, or the domineering (Leo) mother. Love and care are definitely not unconditional. Ceres’ association with the cycle of life and loss may amplify the nurturing grip, as fears of losing appreciation/the spotlight are triggered. Food issues (hunger based on unmet needs) may also be prominent.
The Taurus Moon makes a supportive sextile Neptune Rx in Pisces, which also trines the Scorpio Sun. Neptune can take some of the needy edge off, if you’re able to transcend the immediate anxieties of “not enough.” Neptune encourages you to take a step back from this ending/result. As you do, some magical expansion can happen. Neptune dissolves limits, but only if you’re able to let go of the craving for immediate satisfaction. You may get more, but it probably won’t be what you initially had your eye on.
Venus (ruler of this Moon) in Libra will make an exact opposition to Uranus Rx in Aries on November 4th. Two oppositions really drive home the theme of conclusion. Venus/Uranus suggests the unexpected result, or the complete reversal. The true value (Taurus) of what you’re getting or losing may be revealed. You won’t be able to keep things neat and balanced (sorry Libra). So again, there’s that theme of letting go (Neptune) – you will have minimal control over what this Moon brings, so you might as well open yourself up and roll with the outcome.

Intense Shadow Work | Jupiter In Scorpio, Venus in Libra
Jupiter enters Scorpio. A few cosmic shifts are happening this week… and life could get a bit more bumpier with the consuming Mercury/Pluto square and a demanding Sun/Pluto square on Monday October 9, with a frustrating Mars/Saturn square on Wednesday October 11. As we try to get through the coming days somewhat gracefully, beneficial Jupiter […]
