Full Moon Eclipse in Aquarius and Mars Rx

Eclipse.jpg

The July 27th Full Moon eclipse at 4 deg Aquarius (4:20 PM EDT/1:20 PM PDT) conjoins Mars Rx. It will be connected to any events triggered by Mars’ preceding conjunctions with the South Node (June 8th and July 20th) and Mars’ future South Node conjunction (September 6th, 2018).

Mars Rx opposing the Leo Sun means this is the halfway point of Mars’ retrograde cycle. Whatever Mars Rx has been stirring up so far will be clarified under the light of this Full Moon – this eclipse will be a turning point regarding efforts to detach from the past or intensify actions to bring something to culmination. There will be nothing passive about what happens. You may have to act quickly, or maybe you’ll be pushed to redo/revisit (Mars Rx).

Uranus (ruler of Aquarius) will square this eclipse from Taurus, adding a shot of unpredictability. Endings/goodbyes/results will hit suddenly. Uranus/Aquarius’ theme of liberation will be emphasized – consider any sharp turn of events to be a necessary break from the past. Clarity will be thrust upon you, as well as freedom. If results are severe enough, this won’t feel like freedom. Rest assured that it is.

The Sun (ruler of the North Node-path forward) trines Chiron Rx in Aries (ruled by Mars), underlining the point that what’s happening is necessary and may ultimately be a relief. The confrontation or breakaway will help you move through what makes you afraid or vulnerable. It may even boost your confidence. For some, this could be a crazy leap into the unknown that is part of your new agenda of radical healing. Again, that Mars theme – courage, action, anger, doing something definitive. Chiron and Mars are both Rx, so maybe you’re finally confronting a painful issue that’s been simmering for awhile.

Also encouraging: we have an exact trine between Venus in Virgo and Pluto Rx in Capricorn on July 27th, just a few hours after the eclipse. There will be practical empowerment happening in the background- a gentle strengthening of what you know is right and good for you.

Mars’ inclusion and the square to Uranus does hint at the potential for accidents or violence, so use caution. Venus in Virgo’s activation means you can be smart about what’s happening – you’ll know what’s right and what isn’t. There’s a difference between liberation and destruction, and even if some of what happens is out of your control, you can sill formulate a backup plan now (since you know something’s coming at you).

Be safe, be smart and get ready for change.

Eclipsing the Queen

Sometimes you just can’t make up the astrology. Donald Trump met the Queen of England at Windsor Castle the day after an eclipse last week. He broke protocol bigly, and in particular he did this. He stepped in front of the Queen, which would be a huge no-no if it had been any old lady, but in this case was considered completely beyond the pale. The eclipse took place across Cancer-Capricorn at 20°. The Queen’s own nodal axis (which shows where the eclipses are taking place) is across Cancer-Capricorn — at 20°. Just saying.
