December 11th, 2018: Mercury in Scorpio Inconjunct Uranus

  • Mercury in Scorpio inconjunct Uranus Rx in Aries (28 deg)

Mercury in Scorpio wants to keep the secrets or look deeper as a way of gaining control, but Uranus insists that it’s time for what’s hidden to come out. This can result in impatience, anxiety or ideas that are expressed with more force than anticipated. Scorpio is a Fixed sign and Uranus in Aries insists on change, no matter what. The result can be uncompromising, verbal slaps.

As always, the key with the inconjunct is to make an adjustment that incorporates both sides. Privacy and personal boundaries must be respected but it’s also time for some open conversation. It will be difficult to say it nicely (communication will be shocking no matter how the idea is phrased) but awareness of the power of what’s being revealed can help.

What you learn or say will have a jarring impact – prepare for this.

This aspect was first encountered on December 2nd when Mercury was Rx, so you may be revisiting an issue from that date.

Burning Vision | Astrology Horoscope

Mercury enters Sagittarius. Rather than take care of our responsibilities this week, we may decide to put it all on hold…  just to wander away from current fixations. Life will begin to look more grand and plentiful again, as Mercury (thoughts, communications, journeys) exits probing Scorpio on Wednesday December 12 , and enters the philosophical […]

December 9th, 2018: Chiron Direct Trine Mercury

  • Chiron stations direct (27 deg Pisces)

  • Mercury in Scorpio trine Chiron in Pisces (27 deg)

Chiron direct signals progress with a wound or vulnerability. Chiron stationed Rx in Aries on July 5th and backed into Pisces on September 25th, so since these dates you have been dealing with old hurts. Perhaps issues you didn’t want to confront.

Chiron direct means the trip down memory lane is over and you can progress. But in order to do that you must acknowledge the wound before you can release it. Here to help is a trine from Mercury in Scorpio – deep honesty, a look at secrets/shadow issues or perhaps an intimate conversation. This is your guide through the pain, and the trine means it should happen naturally – the words should come easily.

Mercury previously trined Chiron on December 4th (when Mercury was Rx) so this topic is not new. And this is all part of the Grand Water Trine (including the Cancer North Node) that’s been active since December 2nd. Communication and information (Mercury) are the keys that will unlock the flow.

Maybe this is the time you apologize, say goodbye, acknowledge a release, forgive yourself or get honest about a weakness. Mercury in Scorpio speaks the deepest truths.

December 7th, 2018: Flow

  • Mercury in Scorpio trine the Cancer North Node (27 deg)

  • Mars conjunct Neptune in Pisces (27 deg)

Mercury/North Node continues the flow of the Grand Water Trine that’s been in force since December 2nd. Mercury Rx previously trined the North Node on December 4th, and this second hit could manifest as a confirmation of what you’ve been questioning/investigating/contemplating. Watch for a messenger (in the guise of a person, clue or internal realization) to confirm that you’re on the right path as the dots connect easily and instinctively. Profound truths align with emotional progress – the deeper you look, the more progress you’ll make.

Continuing the energy of flow, the Mars/Neptune conjunction indicates a new beginning with actions (Mars) that transcend limits, reality or boundaries. Neptune eases the passage by dissolving barriers, so you can slide into something new or slip past defences. The dream (Neptune) is energized (Mars) and actions can be sacred (as you reach towards a higher power) or undermining (as you wander down the path of addiction or avoidance).

Watch where you step – motivations can be blurry. The situation can waver and go either way. What do you want to accomplish?

This conjunction is a crucial part of the Sagittarius New Moon.

  • Mercury stations direct (27 deg Scorpio at 4:21 PM EST)

Mercury concludes its retrograde this afternoon, moving ahead and signalling progress in all matters of communication and information. Rx since November 16th, Mercury direct will reactivate 27 to 29 deg Scorpio and 0 to 13 deg Sagittarius. This reactivation (also known as the shadow period) will take you to December 24th, so you may still be discussing the same issues or looking (again) at the same truths/lies.

But Mercury is direct now, and that counts for something. There should be clarification. You can be confident that the repeat issue you’ve been chewing on is winding down.

Mercury direct in Scorpio will ask you to move forward with what you’ve dug up (secrets, taboos, the things no one else wanted to confront) and Mercury direct in Sag will ask you to take it further- expand on it, look at the bigger possibilities, apply what you’ve learned to the promise or story. Does the ideal still hold up now that you’ve done your research or glimpsed the underside?

Mercury direct may start off quietly, because it’s still in dark, private Scorpio (Scorpio’s power comes from holding back until the right moment). There may be whispers or unspoken confirmations – a pause before the strategic reveal. Once Mercury makes a jarring inconjunct to Uranus Rx in Aries on December 11th and re-enters Sagittarius on December 12th, things could get louder.

December 5th, 2018: Tensions to Consider

  • Sagittarius Sun square Neptune in Pisces (13 deg)

  • Venus in Scorpio square Vesta in Aquarius (2 deg)

Sun/Neptune is a harbinger of the December 7th New Moon. A square is a crisis aspect, and here we have a crisis between future opportunities/truth (Sun in Sag) versus the dream/lie/wish (Neptune). The overall energy is that of expansion, as Neptune dissolves limits and Sag wants to keep exploring, but the direction will be the issue.

What are you moving towards? How do expectations and truth align? There is a strong escapist vibe here, so make sure that you’re putting your faith in something that’s about elevation rather than avoidance.

Venus/Vesta triggers tension between a deep want/craving (involving relationships, money or values) versus a detached focus on the bigger picture. There’s something different to consider, and the contrast with an area of obsession (or a fixed desire) can make you aware of what needs to change and what needs to remain private or protected.

December 4th, 2018: Grand Water Trine

  • Mercury Rx in Scorpio trine Chiron Rx in Pisces (27 deg)

  • Mercury Rx in Scorpio trine the Cancer North Node (27 deg)

Continuing the Grand Water Trine that began on December 2nd with Chiron’s trine to the North Node, Mercury Rx suggests your research, deep reviews or focus on a secret/taboo/sensitive issue can open up a flood of healing and relief. Words (Mercury) hit a compassionate note or release a painful issues (Chiron) which in turn points you towards the future (North Node). This is your way through the uncomfortable issue that’s been lingering.

This Grand Water Trine has been active, on and off, since November with Jupiter and the Sun in Scorpio harmonizing with the North Node and Chiron. Now it’s Mercury’s turn, allowing you to put it into words. Maybe you’re reaching out to someone or coming to a profound, internal realization. Maybe you receive some news from the past that helps you let go and move on.

Thanks to Mercury direct (December 6th) and Chiron direct (December 9th) this influence will continue until December 9th. So you’ve got a few days to say it, write it or make sense of it.

The key is putting the difficult issue into words, especially if you previously felt it was too dark or intense. The Grand Trine means natural, effortless flow – what’s meant to come out and be understood will emerge easily.
