It’s so easy to trivialize Gemini, to dismiss it as a fickle, gossipy, lightweight sign. But that is a young person’s way of looking at it, the perspective of someone who hasn’t yet learned about the tyranny of definition. When you’ve spent decades writing, editing, and telling your own life stories, you begin to see Gemini quite differently. Is it fickle to decide that you want the opportunity to explore something new about yourself, or is it a response to something primal and creative? Is it intellectually lazy to gossip about other people, or is it simple curiosity and fascination with fellow humans?

New Moon in Gemini: Sorting Through The Truths
The June 13th New Moon at 22 deg Gemini (3:43 PM EDT) is all about choices and the exchange of information. New information, meetings and conversations will grab your attention, but the Moon’s wide square to Neptune in Pisces suggests none of this will be clear. There will be a lot to sift through (Neptune dissolves boundaries) but will any of it be valid? New Moon energy is uncertain to begin with – the Moon is still dark, so what’s beginning may be vague or unformed. Add Neptune’s influence, and your best advice is to keep an open mind, but do not bet on what you (think) you understand.
This New Moon makes awkward inconjuncts to Pluto Rx and Black Moon Lilith in Capricorn. The inconjunct demands adjustment between incompatible energies. So this new info will be challenged by taboo truths (Pluto always excavates the uncomfortable truth that lies beneath the surface) about the “dangerous” woman (Lilith) – something you may not want to know about women’s sexuality/power that lies outside the bounds of polite society. The tension can result in misinformation, attempts to gloss over the issue or outright lies (courtesy of Neptune).
Mercury (ruler of this New Moon) will have entered sensitive Cancer on June 12th and will form an exact square with Chiron (Wounded Healer) in Aries on June 13th. So we have hurtful/uncomfortable information that must be courageously (Aries) confronted. And yet, the square to Neptune can make it doubtful. What should you say? What’s true? Hard aspects to Pluto often trigger paranoia, so maybe it’s all in your head. But there will be a red flag that you cannot ignore.
Nothing will be certain, but that’s just the way it is sometimes. Pay attention to what you hear or read, especially the dark stuff. But consider that you may not know the whole truth, just yet. Allow (Neptune) details (Gemini) to emerge, and (this is tricky) aim for a balance between courageous eyes-open and measured cynicism. When in doubt, go with the Gemini flow – ask tons of questions.
There’s something dark and doubtful that you’ll have to sort through, and you’re smart enough to do this.
