December 28th, 2018: The Whole Relationship

  • Venus in Scorpio opposite Juno in Taurus (20 deg)

  • Venus in Scorpio sextile Pluto in Capricorn (20 deg)

  • Pluto in Capricorn square Pallas in Libra (20 deg)

  • Pallas in Libra inconjunct Juno in Taurus (20 deg)

An interesting mix of influences today involving Pluto and Venus.

Venus opposite Juno suggests challenges, projections or endings involving a set relationship agreement (Juno) versus intense expressions of love or desire (Venus). What one partner wants may be at odds with the commitment/agreement. Venus rules Taurus, but in Scorpio her energy pushes past Taurus’ limits and demands more extreme expressions. Money and/or love could be an issue. Perhaps one partner wants something deeper, or is projecting their own secrets/obsessions onto a union.

However, Pluto (ruler of Scorpio) makes a supportive sextile to Venus, and Pluto is just moving away from a trine with Juno. So what’s happening is part of a necessary transformation. A new relationship is emerging and the strength of what’s developing will push both partners to look at what lies beneath their commitment.

Pluto makes a tricky square to Pallas in Venus-ruled Libra, suggesting these changes will challenge superficial (Libra) relationship strategies. There may be a social power struggle: a passive-aggressive battle. Pallas in Libra is about keeping it nice and balanced, at all costs – strategic politeness. While it’s important to not allow things to devolve, simply focusing on keeping it nice will not be enough. This is about keeping it real, and Pallas’ inconjunct to Juno indicates tension between social niceties versus the basics of the agreement.

There are three angles here – the social surface, the deeper undercurrents and the material/physical reality of the commitment. All three make up the complete relationship.

Burning Vision | Astrology Horoscope

Mercury enters Sagittarius. Rather than take care of our responsibilities this week, we may decide to put it all on hold…  just to wander away from current fixations. Life will begin to look more grand and plentiful again, as Mercury (thoughts, communications, journeys) exits probing Scorpio on Wednesday December 12 , and enters the philosophical […]

December 8th, 2018: Lilith’s Strategies

  John White Alexander

  • Pallas in Libra trine Black Moon Lilith in Aquarius (13 deg)

  • Pallas in Libra inconjunct Neptune in Pisces (13 deg)

Pallas in Libra is relationship strategies, and BML in Aquarius is the rebellious, powerful woman who disrupts the status quo. When the two harmonize, Lilith has some sharp strategies that allow her to make savvy changes within a social context.

Libra is one-on-one and Aquarius is the group, so this tells us that taboo or shocking women’s issues will reach across all social levels. But the taboo content will be well received by others – what’s usually unacceptable can be delivered in a balanced way (Pallas in Libra is the graceful battle plan).

However, Pallas’ inconjunct to Neptune is a caution to ground these strategies in the real world. It will be easy to get carried away with a higher mission and forget that this involves real people. At the same time, don’t lose sight of the fact that forgiveness and acceptance must be factored into this. Pure strategy without compassion (in this case) can be quite chilly.

November 30th, 2018: Venus in Libra Opposite Uranus

  • Venus in Libra opposite Uranus Rx in Aries (29 deg)

The Venus/Uranus opposition at the final degrees of their respective signs signals an ending or result that’s been a long time coming. Uranus is retrograde, so you’ve been here before.

Venus previously opposed Uranus, but she was in Scorpio and Uranus was in Taurus (Sept 12th at 2 deg and Oct 31st at 0 deg). So the push for change/liberation is not new, but the energy has shifted. Scorpio/Taurus was about a loosening of deep control, possession or security fears. Libra/Aries is the surface reflection (the final result) of these depth charges.

Even though this is not new, Uranus can still provide a jolt. A relationship may be shaken or abruptly adjusted. An issue involving projection could hit with surprising force. Uranus provides liberation, which will also address any imbalances (Libra) that have gone unchecked.

An external trigger may deliver the jolt, but consider how this is a reflection of what’s been happening on a deeper level.

November 28th, 2018: Pivotal Relationship Issue

  Jean Benner

  • Venus in Libra inconjunct Chiron Rx in Pisces (27 deg)

  • Venus in Libra square the North Node in Cancer/South Node in Capricorn (28 deg)

Venus in Libra square the Nodes is a pivotal relationship issue. There will be a choice between sticking with old rules/limits/expressions of authority (South Node) or progressing towards something that is more intuitive, nurturing and in line with authentic needs. It may be about getting past the superficial shell of status and tuning into the real emotions.

Venus’ inconjunct to Chiron Rx indicates that this will be a touch painful. You may be tempted to gloss over a reoccurring wound (Venus also made an inconjunct to Chiron on November 3rd) but dealing with this is part of your progress towards the North Node. Chiron will make an exact trine with the North Node on December 2nd, but you can certainly make use of this energy now- move towards a place of emotional authenticity by acknowledging what hurts. In the process, you can forgive, release, heal, sooth. And this may correct an imbalance in your relationships.
