First Quarter Square

Here we have a crisis that demands action, but your choices (Gemini) may be vague (Pisces). It will be difficult to pinpoint the correct path and it may feel easier to not choose, or to simply drift along without looking at the facts. Nonetheless, you need to do something and that will require selecting A or B.

The Sun’s inferior conjunction to Mercury Rx (ruler of Gemini) can help, as it marks a point of clarity. This is the middle of Mercury’s retrograde, so something essential will be illuminated. Delays, shifting facts and hazy truths have led you to this point- pay attention to what’s revealed and use it in your First Quarter Square decision.

Mercury Rx trine the North Node means that overall, what you learn (and act on) today can take you in the right direction-towards a place that feels (Cancer) safe, authentic and fully aligned with what you need. There’s nothing dramatic here – slow and steady is the way to go. Work within the boundaries. The Sun can bring life to an important potential, but you’ll have to keep an eye on perspective.

Pluto adds intensity to the Pisces Sun’s dream. The vision, vague possibility or belief is given substance as deeper reservoirs of passion and power are accessed. Pluto in Capricorn redefines the rules through intense transformation, or the focus of power. This is what will bring depth to the vision and passion to the belief.

Jupiter will pump things up with excitement and limitless potential as it expands Pisces’ already fluid boundaries. Now we have the BIG dream or EUPHORIC belief. You have Pluto intensity and Jupiter amplification, but a hard aspect to Jupiter always triggers exaggeration. Even if the core is sound, realistic perspective will be lost.

Carrying forward the energy of yesterday’s New Moon, Sun/Vesta is the sacred (Vesta) flame (Sun). Vesta is named after the goddess of the hearth whose Vestal Virgins tended the flame in her temple. She is about purity and absolute focus. Her limits contain the heat of devotion (the flame) which focuses energy in a particular direction. I see her as Saturn with passion.

In Pisces, the flame is watery and transcendent. But this in no way dilutes the sacred vision. The Sun can bring life and purpose to something ultimate that you’re focused on – a higher goal, a spiritual quest, a healing quest, a dream. The Water element suggests limitless possibilities, but Vesta’s limits give those possibilities form. Divination is another possibility.

This could be something that feels heightened and out of reach. And yet, your attention is being drawn here for a reason.
