Winds of Change

As promised, here is a lengthier explanation of the coming series of astrological events that rock the mutable signs, and with them the whole Zodiac. I felt there wasn’t quite enough room in the monthly horoscopes for this  since it covers the end of August and some of September. This is part of a big pattern unfolding over the coming months that includes Saturn, Neptune, Mars and the eclipses. I’ve included a brief outline of how it might work for your Sun sign, but I leave it to you to ponder wider ramifications. This long essay is for subscribers only. […]

August Monthly Horoscopes

It’s rather marvellous that this year’s Olympics take place with a rocket-fuelled Mars in sporty Sagittarius. Will long-standing records be smashed on August 22, when Mars meets Saturn? Athletes remind us, perhaps, that there are many ways to be heroic. We are all heroes of our own life-stories. Nothing can take that away. To read your horoscope, click here.

June Horoscopes

The season shifts from spring to summer — or from autumn to winter in the South. So the Sun has come to a mutable sign, Gemini, a sign where change happens. The mutuable signs — Gemini, Virgo, Pisces and Sagittarius — are alight this month. And because they are, we all are changing and shifting. At times of change, opportunities open, old friends disappear, but you may feel a sense of anticipation. There is magic in the air. The garrigue is in blossom, dark splashes of wild lavender, washes  of pale violet thyme, bright pink rock roses, asphodel, limey euphorbia, blood-red poppies, pale yellow daisies as big as a child’s hand and tiny narcissi. The closer you get to the ground, the more detail becomes apparent — tiny purple orchids, sky-coloured forget-me-nots, wild pink peas. There’s been one good day; the rest of weekend has been cold and overcast. But with darkened, slatey skies, the blossoms’ colours sing. And after […]

Monthly Horoscopes: April 2016

By the end of April, Mars, Pluto, Mercury, Saturn and Jupiter will all be heading in retrograde motion. That is a lot of planetary impetus for reviewing your personal situation. Since Mars and Mercury are the planets that often precipitate action, you can see that we may be in for a bit of a sticky time. Also, Pluto turns retrograde the very day after Mars, which will affect Cancer, Scorpio and Capricorn most strongly. However, the Sun sails sedately on, Venus dances through Aries, the Moon continues her watery orbit and Neptune and Uranus have not intention of turning back for some […]

The Week Ahead…

So anyways, it had been another tough week in the office. I managed to sneak out a little early on Friday with the intention of getting some writing work done. Yeah….nah. I stared at the screen for a few minutes,…
