Words are deeply seductive and magnetic, or thoughts can zero in on what you really, really want. Buried or taboo desires are defined and given a voice, so this is great for clarifying essential details about relationships, finances, intimacy or values. Perhaps something secret is finally being communicated.

But note that Mercury will station retrograde at this degree on October 31st. So there are more layers to uncover or reasons to pause and reconsider what’s been said.

Don’t disregard this aspect, because it’s potent and truthful. But do keep in mind that much more will be revealed. Wait for the level below the words to be exposed. And then the next level, and the next…

  • Venus in Scorpio conjunct Pallas (25°)

This is the aspect of deep or secretive relationship strategies. Pallas (named after Pallas Athena, the warrior goddess of wisdom) is all about strategy, seeing patterns, connecting the dots and fighting certain battles. When she unites with ultra- feminine Venus in Scorpio, we have strategic and seductive energy that is focused on attracting exactly what you want.

There is nothing innocent about this, but that’s not a bad thing. While it can be manipulative if misused, it’s really about accessing your deepest resources (financial or emotional) and using that raw, possibly taboo, power to get what you want. Scorpio is about survival, so the stakes may be high (even if it’s not literal life and death).

This aspect gives you an opportunity to use your intuitive wisdom. There may be a sexual undertone here-is an intimate relationship the place for strategy? In some cases, yes. Sometimes you need to plan what you’re going to give and what you’re going to keep. If this is about shared finances, the same issues apply. Look at where you’re vulnerable and where your power lies.

Venus/Pallas attracts by focusing on the pattern that serves her best.

October 28th, 2019: Sun Opposite Uranus, Mars Inconjunct Neptune

  • Sun in Scorpio opposite Uranus Rx in Taurus (4°)

  • Mars in Libra inconjunct Neptune RX in Pisces (16°)

Sun/Uranus continues the influence of yesterday’s New Moon. There is a contradictory surge of liberation in Fixed signs that strive to maintain control. There may be illumination from the depths (Scorpio) that highlights an abrupt upgrade to habits, finances or values. At the same time, the upgrade may encourage you to break away from secrets, taboos or unhealthy merging. The tension between change and preservation can make this energy feel even more radical than usual as it triggers anxieties about loss of control or the sudden reveal of what’s been hidden.

Mars/Neptune can make relationship efforts very tricky. You may want to initiate an exchange while dealing with the urge to give up or give in. The results can be misguided or severely unbalanced efforts. Some action is necessary but you have to proceed very carefully. Pay attention to unspoken beliefs, anxieties or fantasies that can throw you off course. You may be striving for something selfless or compassionate, but it can be easy to tip over into sacrificial or passive.

New Moon in Scorpio

The October 27th New Moon (4 deg Scorpio @11:38 PM EDT) opposes Uranus RX in Taurus. An opposition is and ending or result, and Uranus is the planet of surprise and liberation. So we have a new beginning (New Moon) directly connected to a surprise ending.

Results may deliver an abrupt wake-up call, and this will push you into some deep, insightful territory. Remembering that Uranus in Taurus is the disruption of limiting habits, outdated sources of income or unproductive approaches to resources, we can assume this will be at the root of your wake-up call.

But rather than propelling you into something that demands action, you will be entering a time of silent stillness. New Moons are times of darkness and the way ahead is not yet fully illuminated. This is emphasized by Scorpio’s secrets and shadows-the surprise that you receive will certainly clarify things, but you’ll have to sit with this for a while and allow events to sink in. The territory that you enter could be uncomfortable, but what you uncover will be powerful. If you’re not sure what to do next, that’s okay.

Adding to the energy of stillness, there is an exact square between Mars in Libra and Saturn in Capricorn. Actions (Mars) will be challenged by limits (Saturn)-the events of this New Moon will bring you to a difficult corner where you’ll have to pause and carefully consider your next action. Don’t try to push past the resistance. Instead, work on rebalancing your efforts as you absorb the powerful revelations of this Moon.

October 25th, 2019: Some Of What You Want

  • Venus in Scorpio sextile Pluto in Capricorn (20°)

  • Jupiter in Sagittarius conjunct Ceres (22°)

Venus in Pluto-ruled Scorpio, in harmonious aspect to Pluto, is given an extra boost of quiet power. Here we have deeply private or subterranean wants, resources or values that are intensified by the breakdown and transformation of structures. This sounds dramatic, and it is! But Scorpio’s hidden nature and the gentle energy of this aspect ensure that events will happen imperceptibly but potently. It doesn’t have to be loud to be effective.

Excellent for confirming that you’re on the right track as you deepen a source of intimacy, self-care or inner exploration.

Jupiter/Ceres indicates expansive nurturing and/or an expansive agreement. Looking at the Ceres myth, this crop goddess’ daughter was taken by the king of the underworld (Pluto) and in retaliation she allowed all the crops to wither and the people to starve. Jupiter stepped in and encouraged her to make a deal with Pluto-her daughter was allowed to be with her, above ground, for part of the year and the crops would grow during this time.

Not everything she wanted, but a crucial part (rebirth) of her cycle and certainly better than nothing. Consider how a real- world version of this deal might be functioning in your life. You probably won’t get everything you want, but a conjunction with Jupiter in the sign he rules is the best possible scenario-the growth of something new, something to look forward to, something that will continue to expand.

We must also consider how the Venus/Pluto aspect factors into this: even with the gentle sextile, there’s an all-or nothing vibe that will have to be toned down due to circumstances (Pluto didn’t get everything he wanted either). Nonetheless, today’s overall vibe is abundance.

In mundane matters, this aspect can indicate increased learning/wisdom concerning mothering, food issues or nurturing. Consider where you might need to make concessions in these matters to encourage new growth.
