September 10th, 2019: Sun in Virgo Opposes Neptune

Arthur Hacker

Arthur Hacker

  • Virgo Sun opposite Neptune Rx in Pisces (17 deg)

This is a difficult aspect as Neptune dissolves the Sun’s purpose and undermines pride. Virgo’s details and solutions are blurred, so the Sun may illuminate anxiety and doubt. If your ego relies on making it perfect or being useful, you’ll encounter failure under this influence.

The opposition can signal an ending that manifests as a fade-away, or a result that reveals more questions than answers. You probably won’t see the truth clearly, so assume that the situation is not accurate.

Rather than attempting to define the issue or make it flawless, use this energy to release guilt, inferiority or the endless attempts to fix what cannot be fixed. Rather than getting caught up in the victim/martyr dynamic, decide that the best you can do is offer compassion (for yourself, especially). If something fades, just let it go.

September 9th, 2019: Black Moon Lilith and Mars in Virgo

Henri Pinta

  • Mars in Virgo trine Saturn in Capricorn (13 deg)

  • Mars in Virgo opposite Black Moon Lilith in Pisces (14 deg)

Cautious actions (Mars in Virgo) harmonize with the rules (Saturn). Excellent for focus, doing what needs to be done and working carefully.

But the opposition to BML suggests that actions/male energy will be at odds with the “dangerous” woman. BML in Pisces is the witch, the seductress or the woman on the fringes who defies definition. Mars trine Saturn wants to define and make it official and this will directly contradict what Lilith is trying to do.

However, note that Saturn Rx made a supportive sextile to BML on Sept 6th, so this is not as simple as the patriarchy repressing the magical woman. The rules can work for and stabilize undefined or transcendent expressions of female sexuality and independence – focusing that outlier energy in one direction (on a concrete issue) is key. Give her authority by using her power with serious conviction. The Mars opposition suggests fault-finding actions (Mars in Virgo can be prudish and judgemental) that challenge BML’s limitless growth. This is the moment to fall back on her rules – she can build up authority for herself if she takes herself seriously and works within the system for change, rather than letting her anger dominate.

Sacred sexuality and female energy with no boundaries may be threatening to some, but the Saturn sextile indicates that she has her own powerful traditions and rules. Consider if you feel threatened or empowered by her (she cannot be controlled or defined).

Healing from the Heart | Starcana Cosmic Dirt

Good day friends! Before jumping too quickly toward our personal desires this week, we may want to consider a few moments of pause – in order to create a plan B, just in case things don’t go as planned. Intentions with persistence aim to get the job done right with a serious Mars/Saturn trine on […]

  • Virgo Sun square Jupiter in Sagittarius (15 deg)

  • Virgo Sun trine the Capricorn South Node (15 deg)

  • Mercury in Virgo trine Pluto Rx in Capricorn (20 deg)

Sun/Jupiter (part of the mutable T-Square) can exaggerate pride/purpose in the “right” thing or tons of information. There can be over-the-top enthusiasm when it comes to getting things just so and delivering knowledge. Too, Virgo worries (what if it’s not good enough/what if something bad happens) can be triggered, because Jupiter amplifies everything.

If you find yourself overwhelmed with anxiety, self-righteousness or facts, know that the Sun’s trine to the South Node can anchor you via rules and tradition. Lean on something from the past – set boundaries that come naturally.

Mercury/Pluto will also help, as precise communication/investigation is empowered. Targeted words and thoughts can drill right through the worries and distractions. There’s power in knowing the details but also in knowing exactly when you’ve said enough – a few, carefully chosen facts are more effective than an avalanche of information.

September 7th, 2019: Mercury Opposite Neptune

  • Mercury in Virgo opposite Neptune Rx in Pisces (17 deg)

Neptune dissolves Virgo’s details and insistence on the facts. The result can be the evasion of a problem or refusal to accept a solution. If you’re shying away from the solution, consider why you don’t want to see what’s correct/healthy/better.

The Pisces or Virgo end of this opposition can be emphasized.

When there is an opposition, projection or culmination is involved. Consider if lies or inaccuracies are being assigned to someone else (not the owner). Or, consider if a hard truth is piercing the Neptune bubble and delivering a disappointing result. If there is a disappointment, at least you’re seeing what’s true.

If there’s an exchange of information that depends on precision, you may want to reschedule or have a contingency plan. Neptune can greatly enhance creativity and compassion but will undermine clarity.

This opposition is part of the mutable T-Square.

September 5th, 2019: First Quarter Square and Black Moon Lilith

  • First Quarter Square between the Sagittarius Moon and Virgo Sun (13 deg)

  • Mercury in Virgo opposite Black Moon Lilith in Pisces (13 deg)

  • Mercury in Virgo trine Saturn Rx in Capricorn (14 deg)

The 1st Quarter Square pushes you to look beyond the details. It’s time to look up and consider the bigger picture. How do the little imperfections/corrections connect? You won’t want to do this, but at the same time there will be a restless urge to go further/learn more. Act on that urge and inject new knowledge into what you’ve been obsessing about.

Aspects to Mercury (ruler of Virgo) tell us more. The opposition to BML says that certain details will illuminate problems involving the dangerous woman. You may become aware of exactly how and where she doesn’t fit it, or how an external, subversive influence is rocking the boat (BML is the socially unacceptable female influence). Mercury/Saturn keeps you focused on what’s real- stick with what you know in order to avoid floating off into the currents of paranoia. When dealing with unpleasant truths involving gender dynamics/female sexuality, stick with the facts and avoid speculation.

What BML has to say will sound messy and imperfect, but you’ve got the tools to manage this. Open your eyes to what’s new but stay grounded in the facts. Perhaps she’s revealed some inconvenient details that must be factored into the equation (without panicking). She’s telling you that something is wrong, and this is part of the crisis of the 1st Quarter Square – what will you do with this knowledge?
