Jupiter stations retrograde at 23 deg Scorpio on March 8th, 11:45 PM EST.
As the planet of big expansion moves in reverse, the deep, essential growth that’s taken place since Jupiter entered Scorpio on October 10th, 2017 will either pause or intensify in one area.
Taboo issues that Jupiter has brought to the surface may be put on hold, and you’ll have the space to recalibrate your perspective. Jupiter in Scorpio can be overwhelming – you may have been drowning in the intensity of an immersive situation, but now Jupiter Rx will encourage you to come up for air.
In some cases, you may return to what was first exposed – questions will emerge about the truth and wisdom of what you’ve learned. Yes, it was raw and pushed the boundaries, but what does that mean, exactly? What happens after you hit the bottom of the rabbit hole? You can get sucked into the richness of brutal exploration and the sharing of dark things, but eventually you have to acknowledge an end. Jupiter Rx’s pause can be a sign that this is as far as you’re meant to go (for now). Stop, breath and put the knowledge you’ve gained into context.
If the growth of something pauses, know that it’s time to take stock of what’s come into your life since Jupiter first entered Scorpio. Use this energy to refine what Jupiter’s brought you – Scorpio is about absolute truth and power that’s based on inner resources. Purge anything that’s not totally honest, essential for your evolution and honourably powerful (that means no manipulation or destructive obsessions).
However, if there is an intensification, it will happen in one area and that will be your cue to look even deeper and concentrate on that thing. Perhaps you’ll be examining a death, a profound question of faith or optimism in the darkest place. Sometimes Jupiter’s growth means details are overlooked; Jupiter Rx is the time to catch what you missed by peeling back yet another layer of shadow.
Jupiter’s retrograde will cover 23 to 13 degrees Scorpio, so anything at these degrees of the Fixed or Water signs will be reviewed, paused or intensified. Note that Mars stationed direct at 23 deg Scorpio on June 29th, 2016. This was part of Mars’ Rx which covered Sagittarius and Scorpio, and the Scorpio portion was about getting at the true motivations behind action, anger and passion. Mars direct was about moving forward with those truths, and acting from a place of conscious intent (rather than reacting automatically). This Jupiter Rx may refer back to what Mars direct triggered – reevaluated growth will be based on actions/anger/sexuality from the past.
Jupiter will station direct on July 10th, 2018.

Venus enters Pisces on February 10th (6:19 PM EST). Relationships, money, self-esteem and values become fluid. Easy come, easy go – Pisces has zero boundaries.
Pisces is an expansive influence. Under the right conditions, that means more of the good stuff- more love (with an unconditional flavour), more giving, more acceptance. Sometimes, the more you give, the more you receive (without expectations of receiving anything). Such is the beauty of Pisces.
But the bad stuff can also expand – more victimization, more addiction, more giving that weakens you. Where’s the line between selfless love/charity versus being a doormat and allowing others to drain you?
Since Pisces is all about grey areas, the line may seem difficult to identity. But it’s really not. You just need to check in with yourself.
Do you feel good when you’re giving? Do you feel calm yet energized? You’re on the right side of the line, whether you’re offering love, money or compassion. You’re offering something of value with no expectation of recompense, and it feels right.
Do you feel drained, devalued or used when you’re giving? Do you come away from the interaction feeling like a victim? You’re on the wrong side of the line. If it feels wrong, it is wrong. End of story.
Venus in Pisces can attract with the victim vibe (others are drawn to weakness and try to take advantage) or with the transcendent vibe (you’ve released bitterness, anger and expectation, and you’re completely open to whatever comes your way – as long as it’s good for you). Sometimes, nothing comes your way. Pisces can be about isolation and learning to let go. Ultimately, it is a transpersonal energy, which means the illusion that a certain person or thing belongs to you is just that – an illusion. Everything can be given to you or taken away, just like that.
I’m not going to go on about how beautiful this is. When you’re lonely or in mourning, it’s not beautiful. These things can make you feel empty and sad. You can love what you lost, but you don’t have to love the experience of loss. You don’t have to do or be anything – Pisces, more than any other sign, asks nothing except that you allow what’s flowing into and out of your life. Just go with it, and feel all the accompanying emotions.
This transit kicks off a concentrated Pisces season. Mercury and the Sun enter this sign on February 17th and 18th respectively. On March 4th (the peak) there will be a Sun/Neptune conjunction, along with a triple conjunction of Mercury, Venus and Chiron.
