  • Mercury in Virgo opposite Neptune Rx in Pisces (17 deg)

Neptune dissolves Virgo’s details and insistence on the facts. The result can be the evasion of a problem or refusal to accept a solution. If you’re shying away from the solution, consider why you don’t want to see what’s correct/healthy/better.

The Pisces or Virgo end of this opposition can be emphasized.

When there is an opposition, projection or culmination is involved. Consider if lies or inaccuracies are being assigned to someone else (not the owner). Or, consider if a hard truth is piercing the Neptune bubble and delivering a disappointing result. If there is a disappointment, at least you’re seeing what’s true.

If there’s an exchange of information that depends on precision, you may want to reschedule or have a contingency plan. Neptune can greatly enhance creativity and compassion but will undermine clarity.

This opposition is part of the mutable T-Square.

  • Venus in Virgo opposite Neptune Rx in Pisces (17 deg)

Neptune dissolves Venus in Virgo’s specifics, so facts about relationships, money or self-esteem become blurry. The details of what you want may be vague or take on sacrificial undertones. Perhaps it seems like a good idea to give all in order to prove your love. Or perhaps you’re questioning your value.

Pay attention to what’s undermining the truth about what you want. Watch for the urge to throw it all away because it wasn’t right. An opposition from Neptune is not truth, it’s the release of what you thought you knew. Your first urge (to sacrifice, to debase, to doubt everything) is probably wrong. But what comes after that…

This aspect is part of the T-Square, and it’s tricky. Neptune can expand the desire for slavery or expand your doubts of how valuable/attractive you are. An opposing force can challenge what you thought was correct about love/money. Before you give or doubt, ask questions.

This is the aspect of innocence, as Venus in Virgo’s purity is hi-lighted by Neptune’s transcendence. But with the hard aspect of the opposition, purity can also be a way of avoiding what’s real. The flaws in the elevation of perfection are illuminated.

August 22nd, 2019: Relationship Pride and What’s Behind It

  • Leo Sun conjunct Juno (29 deg)

  • Mercury in Leo inconjunct Neptune Rx in Pisces (17 deg)

Sun/Juno illuminates the pride and power of a successful partnership, but Mercury/Neptune raises a few questions. Honesty may not be a priority – perhaps one person is evading the truth in order to preserve the shine. Too, there can be a caution to acknowledge what’s not obvious – this is not all about what’s in the spotlight.

Dreams are good, but not at the expense of purpose. This is a tricky balancing act where one or both partners must acknowledge what defies immediate definition without allowing that information to undermine their mutual purpose. Compassion or spiritually may need to be interwoven with overt examples of relationship success.

Note that this can apply to any type of partnership: romantic, business, creative, etc.

  • Waxing Trine between the Sagittarius Moon and Leo Sun (17 deg)

  • Sagittarius Moon square Neptune Rx in Pisces (18 deg)

  • Leo Sun inconjunct Neptune Rx in Pisces (18 deg)

The Waxing Trine promises easy growth of idealism and confidence. There can be an effortless slide towards what’s new and exotic (Sag), with the promise of fun and drama (Leo). The more you learn (Sag) the brighter you’ll shine (Leo). However, the hard aspects to Neptune present a note of caution: the dissolution of limits can create false horizons and questionable wisdom. You may throw yourself into something that undermines your confidence and leads you down the wrong path. You may be proud of what you know or what you’re teaching, and rightly so. But some of that knowledge must be questioned.

Make an effort to discern truth from fabrication. The Sag ideal distorted by the square to Neptune is a crisis between belief versus illusion, wisdom versus wishes – you may want to believe in something so badly that you ignore the parts of the story that don’t add up. The inconjunct to the Leo Sun is a reminder that pride must be tempered with the awareness that there’s something more than your pride. It’s a tricky mix – you don’t want to be a victim but it’s not all about your personal accomplishments.

Consider what Neptune represents: what’s greater than your pride? Look at where the lines of the story are blurred.

  • Mars in Leo inconjunct Neptune Rx in Pisces (18 deg)

  • Neptune Rx in Pisces sextile Vesta in Taurus (18 deg)

Mars/Neptune shows the incompatibility between actions motivated by pride versus selfless impulses. You may be torn between wanting to push for attention when there’s a niggling suspicion that this isn’t quite enough. This can result in actions that are weakened or based in fantasy (you achieve recognition in your dreams but do nothing in the real world).

As with all inconjuncts, adjustment is key – act in the real world (in a passionate, public way) but don’t ignore the whisper of spirituality/belief. Channeled correctly, this energy is extremely creative, leading to some beautiful efforts that can trigger admiration for you, but also resonate on a purely artistic or spiritual level.

Vesta’s sextile to Neptune can help with the above, as Neptune’s impossible dream is grounded by focus (Vesta) on immediate realities: money, security, preservation. This is about reaching towards the fantasy and integrating it into your life. Vesta is the sacred flame, and Neptune elevates this – basic, physical issues (the body, your money) can become matters of divine focus (your temple) if you sanctify them with your devotion. This will require a willingness to believe that you are not trapped, that you can have more, that your dream can be made real. But also, that your security (and comfort) is pure and non-negotiable. Taurus reminds us that physical pleasure is essential, and there’s no reason why this can’t be sacred.

Both these aspects ask you to consider how you can combine the mundane with the elevated, and the highly subjective with the transpersonal.

  • Venus in Cancer trine Neptune Rx in Pisces (18 deg)

  • Mercury Rx in Leo trine Ceres in Sagittarius (0 deg)

The trine from Neptune takes the edge off the Venus/Saturn opposition. After the restrictions comes a gentle release and increase in acceptance, grace or relief. Neptune expands where Saturn restricted and opens up possibilities that exist to the side of Saturn’s rules. If the Saturn opposition brought a commitment or official result, Neptune can enhance the good stuff.

Mercury makes the second of three trines to Ceres, asking you to have faith in what you’re hearing or saying. The first trine occurred on June 29th when Ceres was Rx, and now that Mercury is Rx (and Ceres is direct) you may be asking again or reconsidering what you’ve learned, involving an area of nurturing and exploration. Keep honing your message, because it can grow into something bigger.
