August 14th, 2019: Sun Conjunct Venus

  • Sun conjunct Venus (21 deg Leo)

  • Sun and Venus inconjunct Pluto Rx (21 deg Capricorn)

Sun/Venus illuminates what you want – a point of pride, romance, creativity or celebration. Everything is bold and out in the open, with added drama. Excellent for making your wants known, for celebrating yourself or starting a new situation on a bright note.

But the inconjunct to Pluto adds a thread of dark compulsion. You may want this more than you realize; watch for jealousy or possessiveness to sneak in. Pluto adds an uneasy sliver of insecurity as the bright thing is questioned. Is this for real? Is it/he/she all yours? Do they really love you?

While power dynamics must be acknowledged (ignore Pluto at your peril) don’t allow manipulation or insecurity to undermine what is an otherwise beautiful moment. Yes, there’s something in the shadows but it doesn’t have to stain what’s in the light. Be smart, stay aware and enjoy what this influence has to offer. Rise above coercion or jealousy – if one person wins it doesn’t mean another has to lose (Pluto can add an underhanded competitive streak).

  • Mercury in Leo trine Ceres in Sagittarius (2 deg)

Bold, dramatic or creative words encourage hope for the future. This is the third and final trine between Mercury in Leo in Ceres:

  • June 29th: Mercury trine Ceres Rx (1 deg)

  • July 18th: Mercury Rx trine Ceres (0 deg)

The conversation or plan may have been developing since June, and now you can confidently move ahead. Nurturing can take the form of learning, urging someone to explore what’s new or urging someone to have faith that they are special. There’s an exciting yet supportive vibe to this, as the warmth of new possibilities leads you forward. A messenger could take the form of a teacher or mentor who nurtures open self-expression and pride.

Rediscovering Our Inner Wild  | Starcana Cosmic Dirt

Do you remember the distraction that happened a few months ago? What we imagined to be our purpose,… where we thought we were going… and the rude intrusion that fell onto our path; was cosmically guiding us onto another road. Since this awkward sense of footing, we’ve been learning how to get back on our […]

August 12th, 2019: The Truth About What You Want

  • Capricorn Moon inconjunct Venus in Leo (19 deg)

  • Waxing Inconjunct between the Capricorn Moon and Leo Sun (19 deg)

  • Moon conjunct Pluto Rx in Capricorn (21 deg)

  • Moon Void of Course in Capricorn (6:11 PM EDT)

  • Moon enters Aquarius (Aug 13th, 11:35 AM EDT)

The Waxing inconjunct includes Venus in Leo – a beautiful, showy potential that’s building to a peak on the Aug 15th Full Moon must be tempered with rules and restraint. While the relationship/financial/self-esteem issue is shining, don’t forget about an important obligation. While this may feel like a downer, you’ll be ignoring it at your peril. Take care of business now – don’t let it slide.

The Moon then conjoins Pluto in the last aspect before it goes VOC. This can be an intense and uncomfortable reminder of the compulsions and power beneath the rules. You’ll get a glimpse of something deeper, but the VOC period will allow you to process the raw truth. What you want/love will be about more than simple desire -there will be deeper undercurrents of jealousy, neediness or fear of loss.

This can tarnish the shine of a glorious moment, but consider that the Shadow adds depth and texture. The intensity tells you it’s the real deal, and the power of your desire is being unlocked. If it really matters, it’s going to be complicated.

As the Moon enters Aquarius, welcome the opportunity to step back from the previous heaviness and gain some perspective. What else can you see now that you’re standing at a distance?

August 11th, 2019: Mercury Into Leo, Jupiter Direct and Uranus Rx

  • Mercury re-enters Leo (3:45 PM EDT)

  • Jupiter stations direct in Sagittarius (14 deg)

  • Uranus stations Rx in Taurus (6 deg)

If you’ve been waiting for the moment to pick up where you left off, this is it.

After its Rx into Cancer, Mercury returns to Leo. This can reactivate issues from June 26th (Mercury’s first ingress) but now you can move ahead with the bold plans, public words or creative idea. What was left hanging when Mercury stationed Rx will be completed.

See this link for the complete of dates and degrees.

And Jupiter stations direct, continuing the forward momentum. Expansion, exploration, growth or rewards that were put on hold when Jupiter stationed Rx (April 10th) will continue. For some, this means the time out is over. For others, a last chance to pursue a promise/ opportunity or learn as much as they possibly can (Jupiter will exit Sag for Capricorn on Dec 2nd).

However, Uranus will station Rx, which indicates delays in or a concentrated focus of the massive upgrade to resources and habits. The current is still flowing forward (with Jupiter and Mercury) but new sources of income, new values or habits are ready to be reviewed before the change continues. Nonetheless, this is not an excuse to keep waiting.

Uranus Rx will take you back to 2 deg Taurus, where it will station direct on Jan 2nd, 2020. This means if you have anything from 2 to 6 deg of the Fixed or Earth signs, get ready for a significant repeat hit of Uranus. 2 to 6 deg of the Water signs will also get a repeat hit, but not as noticeably.

Wondering how Uranus’ transit of Taurus might apply to you? I’ve written a 30-page ebook that features descriptions of this transit by house, as well as an intro that lays out all the dates and degrees.  Click here to purchase and download.

You must have have an accurate time of birth to know what house in your chart Uranus is moving through.

August 10th, 2019: Hope With Caution

  • Waxing Trine between the Sagittarius Moon and Leo Sun (17 deg)

  • Sagittarius Moon square Neptune Rx in Pisces (18 deg)

  • Leo Sun inconjunct Neptune Rx in Pisces (18 deg)

The Waxing Trine promises easy growth of idealism and confidence. There can be an effortless slide towards what’s new and exotic (Sag), with the promise of fun and drama (Leo). The more you learn (Sag) the brighter you’ll shine (Leo). However, the hard aspects to Neptune present a note of caution: the dissolution of limits can create false horizons and questionable wisdom. You may throw yourself into something that undermines your confidence and leads you down the wrong path. You may be proud of what you know or what you’re teaching, and rightly so. But some of that knowledge must be questioned.

Make an effort to discern truth from fabrication. The Sag ideal distorted by the square to Neptune is a crisis between belief versus illusion, wisdom versus wishes – you may want to believe in something so badly that you ignore the parts of the story that don’t add up. The inconjunct to the Leo Sun is a reminder that pride must be tempered with the awareness that there’s something more than your pride. It’s a tricky mix – you don’t want to be a victim but it’s not all about your personal accomplishments.

Consider what Neptune represents: what’s greater than your pride? Look at where the lines of the story are blurred.

August 9th, 2019: Make The Reality Work For You

  • Venus in Leo inconjunct Saturn Rx in Capricorn (15 deg)

  • Pluto Rx in Capricorn trine Vesta in Taurus (21 deg)

Venus/Saturn adds a bit of grit to the Venus/Jupiter trine. There are certain rules or limits which cannot be ignored, and they’ll cast a shadow over what you want. You may not get everything you desire, or there will be moments when you feel less than beautiful/worthy. Although the overall vibe is bright, bountiful and beautiful, Saturn is there to remind you of a specific reality. As you bump up against that limit, acknowledge it but don’t allow it to put out your fire.

Pluto/Vesta is empowered focus on resources/security, or empowering yourself by devoting your energies to what’s essential. There can be a fixation on physical matters, and the harmony of the trine encourages you to transform an existing situation by giving it your full attention. There’s great manifestation potential here, and the key is Pluto Rx’s concentrated deconstruction and excavation of current structures. Dig deeper, redefine the rules and use this to strengthen your material security or physical stamina.

This connects back to Venus/Saturn, as Saturn rules Capricorn and Venus rules Taurus. There’s a clue on how to handle the Saturn inconjunct – use the current realities and enforced focus to your advantage.

August 8th, 2019: Venus in Leo Trine Jupiter Rx

Max Rabes

  • Venus in Leo trine Jupiter Rx in Sagittarius (14 deg)

This aspect can attract more (Jupiter) of what you want (Venus). Venus in Leo is bold, entitled, passionate and dramatic. Brilliant swathes of creativity or romance, staged to impress. Jupiter expands this through a harmonious connection- a chance to take it further and celebrate.

This energy can be indulgent, as the trine indicates ease: you can attract without trying, just by being there. The romantic stakes are high and euphoric- confidence, risk and optimism make a potent combo.

You can’t really go wrong with this, but you can overdo it if you push things. Meaning, you can spend too much, display too much or expect too much, although in the moment it will feel really good. It will feel ideal, which is the Jupiter keyword. Jupiter is Rx but this does not dampen the flame. If anything, it means you’re getting a second chance at a missed opportunity or abundance/expansion is concentrated in one area. It’s helpful to be aware of your limits, especially since Venus is applying to an inconjunct with Saturn Rx, exact on August 9th.

But overall, if you want it and you’re ready to step out of the shadows, you can probably attract it (or entice others). Just remember that what seems limitless isn’t quite.

August 7th, 2019: First Quarter Square and the Shadow Behind the Shine

  • 1st Quarter Square between the Scorpio Moon and Leo Sun (14 deg)

  • Sun in Leo trine Jupiter Rx in Sagittarius (14 deg)

  • Sun in Leo inconjunct Saturn Rx in Capricorn (15 deg)

  • Scorpio Moon sextile Saturn Rx in Capricorn (15 deg)

The First Quarter Square triggers a crisis between depth and shine, dark and light. The Leo Sun (amped up by Jupiter) represents a showy, optimistic situation. It’s loud and proud, bold and beautiful. But the Scorpio Moon brings a darker undertone of something you don’t want to acknowledge – the shadow behind the shine. And yet, this darkness is necessary for you to fully understand the brightness. There’s more than meets the eye – shadow work to be done. In order to enhance what you’re proud of, you need to dig deeper.

The Sun’s inconjunct to Saturn emphasizes this through inconvenient limits, rules or authority. Watch for some brakes on your ego – someone with more power may tell you what’s not possible. As unpleasant as this is, the Moon’s supportive sextile to Saturn reminds you that these limits can be stabilizing. Really dig into the area around those boundaries. There can be deeper, richer resources in these narrow but immovable veins.

Limits create focus which creates concentrated energy; mine the restrictions for enhanced power.
