Venus

Venus/Chiron indicates a painful crisis involving the status or tradition of what you want/love. Relationship commitments, defined examples of what’s beautiful or self-esteem linked to status can trigger moments of tension. There may be insecurities about  lack of status or commitment. Perhaps traditional examples of female energy make you feel like an outsider because you don’t fit the mould. The authority that you want could be undermined by insecurities.

As always with hard aspects to Chiron, you can’t gloss over the unpleasantness. The best approach is to expect that Venus- themed situations (money, relationships, values) will be temporarily difficult. Accept the moment of discomfort and consider if there’s a message for you. How authentic is that status? Is it time to discard certain traditions, or is this a temporary blip? What is the reality of what you want?

Most importantly, what does this say about your responsibilities regarding boundaries and defined values?

Neptune

It’s interesting that on the same day, Neptune moves forward. While Capricorn is about rules and reality, Neptune dissolves reality. Neptune direct is the current of magic, transcendence or impossibility that circumvents the rules. This is a subtle influence, but it does suggest that issues involving fantasy, compassion, deceit or truth will now move forward. Neptune is associated with deceit but the truthful flip side is always revealed in the end (sometimes resulting in relief and other times resulting in disillusionment). Neptune stationed RX on June 21st at 18°.

As Neptune moves forward it will make it harmonious sextile with Vesta. Devotion to physical resources, money or habits will be gently confirmed and adjusted. Watch for a subtle shift in the current regarding security matters that you’ve been focused on. This is the second of three sextiles between Neptune and Vesta:

  • Jul 30th, 2019

  • Nov 27th, 2019

  • Feb 8th, 2020

So you’re halfway through a process that began in July-an integration of the earthly and the spiritual, reality and dreams or self-preservation and sacrifice.

Building The Dream

During the next four weeks, we’re about to get a lot more serious about what we want to attract into our life as loving Venus moves from playful Sagittarius, into ambitious Capricorn on Monday November 25. As we take responsibility for who we are and what we currently have with Venus in Capricorn, we can […]

November 18th, 2019: Leo Moon Challenges

Yod.jpg

  • Leo Moon square Mercury RX in Scorpio (11°)

  • Leo Moon inconjunct Neptune RX in Pisces (15°)

  • Leo Moon inconjunct Saturn in Capricorn (16°)

Moon square Mercury RX can trigger discordant or anxious thoughts as profoundly focused ideas clash with bold, showy energy. A square is a crisis aspect, and the tension of this crisis can bring to light a particular secret or insight about fame or the need for appreciation.

The Moon then becomes the focal point of a brief Yod: the inconjuncts to Neptune and Saturn will highlight the disconnect between ego/ drama/me first versus the Saturn/Neptune blend of sacrifice and quiet manifestation. Saturn and Neptune form a separating sextile, which represents the blend of dreams and reality (and the small sacrifice necessary to make it work). The focal point is also the difficult point of integration: it may be a struggle to achieve recognition or to balance pride with work and humility. But somehow, pride and recognition will put a spotlight on your sacrifice.

This is not a “poor me” influence-it’s taking credit for the quiet work that you’ve done while remembering that dreams have limits and what’s solid can be dissolved.

November 14th, 2019: Venus Square Neptune And A Touch of Lilith

Peter Nicolai Arbo

  • Scorpio Sun trine Black Moon Lilith in Pisces (21°)

  • Venus in Sagittarius square Neptune RX in Pisces (15°)

Sun/BML allows you to dip smoothly into Lilith’s forbidden waters. Exploring sexuality or a female persona that drift outside the lines can be empowering and natural. Nothing is forced-go with the intuitive current that pulls you in a magical or secretive direction.

But Venus/Neptune suggests you have to be careful in case you go too far. Values, relationships or self-esteem can be undermined by unhealthy fantasies or risky attractions. There’s a draw to more and better, but the situation that appears to embody these qualities could be false. The fantasy of the ultimate romantic escape or liberating gift can end up costing you way too much.

Dip your toes in the water but don’t lose sight of the shore.

  • Scorpio Sun sextile Saturn in Capricorn (15°)

  • Scorpio Sun trine Neptune RX in Pisces (16°)

  • Saturn in Capricorn sextile Neptune RX in Pisces (16°)

  • Pallas enters Sagittarius (5:15 AM EST)

The third of three Saturn/Neptune sextiles is exact today, powered up by the Sun. This aspect has been active, on and off, since January. So there’s been an ongoing issue involving reality (Saturn) in harmony with fantasy (Neptune). This is a quiet aspect that asks you to sacrifice something to get something else. But in the end, if you’re willing to do the work (Saturn) you can manifest part of a dream or define a vague belief.

The Scorpio Sun’s activation of the final sextile is encouraging, because it suggests that you can wrap this issue up through total commitment to accessing hidden resources. In other words, you have to go all in or it will not happen.

The previous two sextiles occurred on January 31st (14°) and June 18th (18°).

Pallas into Sagittarius expands the scope of strategies and enables perception of big -picture patterns in the areas of education, foreign matters, legal matters or ideals. During this transit, you can gain a broader understanding of how the dots connect. Issues such as justice, ethics or wisdom may be emphasized in intellectual battles.

Since this is happening on the day of the final Saturn/Neptune sextile, consider what you’re trying to manifest-will it help you understand larger issues? How does your wisdom, dreams and sacrifices align?

Pallas exits Sagittarius for Capricorn on January 18th, 2020.

October 21st, 2019: Crisis and Action

  • Last Quarter Square between the Cancer Moon and Libra Sun (27°)

  • Mars in Libra square the Capricorn South Node/Cancer North Node (11°)

  • Venus in Scorpio trine Neptune RX in Pisces (16°)

The Last Quarter Square can trigger difficult questions around balancing your personal needs in a relationship. Maybe you’ve been giving too much or trying so hard to be agreeable that you’ve ignored your core truths. This square will activate a crisis that forces you to consider what you really need and how that compares to what you’ve been giving or receiving.

Adding to the tension, Mars squaring the Nodes can make it very difficult to act or express anger. It may feel like everything you do is out of step with the current. This is actually a reminder to pause and consider the choice that’s been active since September 22nd (Mercury, Venus and the Sun in Libra have squared the Nodes since that date)-the value of old rules/traditions/judgments versus a more authentic path forward that is aligned with what you need.

The Cancer Moon rules the North Node so this is very much about stepping away from familiar but limiting habits and moving towards what’s unfamiliar but authentic. Maybe a responsibility needs to be wrapped up before you step forward. Any action you take should move you towards the North Node.

There is a harmonious connection between Venus and Neptune-this energy promises unconditional love, easy intimacy or a smooth immersion into what you want. While today’s actions will be tricky, attracting, allowing and opening yourself up to something you trust should be effortless (as long as you’re willing to go all the way). Note that Venus rules Libra, so this takes us back to the Third Quarter Square: diving into what’s authentic can be part of the answer to this crisis.
