Cancer Full Moon

I’ve just got back from a summer mini-break. We’ve had friends over from New Zealand for Christmas and took them for a 3-night stay to Fraser Island. A world heritage site, it’s the largest sand island in the world and it’s just a few hours and a barge ride north of us. I’ll be blogging …

A Cancerian Supermoon for the New Year

Flickr The first Full Moon of 2018 occurs right on New Year’s Day, in the highly sensitive and emotional sign of Cancer.   Cancer is the Moon’s own sign, and it is happiest there where its sentimentality and security needs can be best expressed.  The Cancerian Full Moon asks us to open our hearts […]

Jan 12, 2017: C-SPAN Hacked By Russia? – video (w Mercury-Pluto)

Well, it seems the Full Wolf Moon @22Cancer on the morning of January 12, 2017 brought interruptions of an unusual variety to Capitol Hill confirmation hearings though I had thought its orb of 2+ degrees from US natal Mercury Rx (which brings along its opposition to powerful saboteur Pluto in Capricorn) was perhaps too wide to cause much trouble in Washington. Apparently I was wrong as you’ll see

So this is Christmas…

One of the things I’m most grateful for from our recent road trip is seeing the lead up to Christmas in Britain. The Christmas markets, the lights, the mulled wine, the window displays, the mulled wine, the Christmas jumpers, the…

Christmas Day 2015 Full Moon and a “Double” Ancestor Horoscope

On December 25, 2015 a Full Moon perfects at 6:11:27 am EST @3Can19 conjunct US natal Venus. As US History and the Cosmos would have it, this lunar position is the Syzygy Moon degree (last lunation prior to birth) of an ancestor of mine–a "double" ancestor thanks to his having two wives each with offspring who descend to my paternal and maternal side–because he was born Christmas Day 1776.

From Little Things Big Things Grow

Here’s one I wrote a couple of years ago…but have updated the technical details… Despite being located in Indonesia, the official religion in Bali is Hinduism- but a different sort of Hinduism to what is practised in India. I won’t…Read m…

Cancer Full Moon is a powerhouse of energy

In its own sign of Cancer the Full Moon is an emotional one – opening up the heart and requiring us to explore our own vulnerability. This particular lunation is powerful, with the Pluto (transformation) conjunct the Sun and opposing the Moon. Pluto encourages/forces us to go deep, beyond the superficial, and discover the treasure […]
